Difficult to find until you get used to the area but after that very easy via a shortcut. A nice, modern hotel, clean bedroom and bathroom. The staff (friendly and helpful) replied quickly to my emails about a transfer from the station. Only a 20 minute walk from Red Square. My room had no view but that really wasn’t an issue. I wasn’t really impressed with the breakfast provided as there wasn’t any cereals or hot food, although there was fresh orange juice and the coffee was good.

Boutique hotel (only 9 rooms) 20 mins walk to red square and out of tourist area.
Lots of good local restaurants around, 5 mins to metro station.
Staff are excellent, all spoke good English and made our stay easy and trouble free.
Rooms clean and smart, bathroom spotless, quiet area
Very high quality breakfast

Could not fault the hotel or location if your an independent traveller who wants to avoid large chain hotels and be in a more local area.

Being for the first time in Moscow it was really a very pleasant surprise to find this lovely small hotel. It is easy to find on their website and it is very central located. The staff does speak English and they are very welcoming. Our suite was very good and the shower was excellent. In the morning the breakfast, served in a small and nice room, was really outstanding: fresh products and that was great! An excellent choice!

We stayed here twice within a month, different room each time. We knew the staff and they knew us - how many hotels can you say that about! Nothing was too much trouble e.g. providing a vacuum cleaner so we could compress our winter clothing on leaving Russia for warmer weather, always at the door the moment we entered. Delicious freshly prepared breakfasts, quiet and safe location. Very convenient, metro just 5 minutes away and Red Square and crowds a 15 minute walk in the other direction. Supermarkets, cafes, bars and banks nearby.

Stayed 3 nights on our first trip to Moscow and really enjoyed the experience.

On entry the property is small but has a very modern, minimalist fitout.

The room too is small but very contemporary, ours had 2 comfortable single beds, large screen TV including English channels, large desk and minibar. The bathroom is very modern and clean.

Breakfast is included and consists of a fabulous array of continental and traditional options, which we looked forward to each morning.

The service was excellent from the beginning and was warm and friendly throughout.

Hotel is located behind a main street with all the fast food options, restaurants and shops. The Metro is less than 5 mins walk one way and Red Square is an easy 15 minute walk the other.

So happy we chose to stay here, Moscow is such a vibrant and happening city and this hotel is the perfect place to base yourself.

Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, great staff, so helpful, fabulous breakfast included in the price. We had a great room, number one, it was huge. Great location, price everything, couldn’t speak more highly of it or it’s staff. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay was a special trip to celebrate my 50th birthday and I couldn't have chosen a better hotel. From start to finish the experience was faultless. Before I arrived, the hotel very promptly responded to my queries re a visa and sent me the invitation voucher for no charge - hassle free!
Ahead of my visit, I also asked the hotel to make a reservation at Savva (fabulous meal!) but they must also have let the restaurant know that it was my birthday as I was presented with a small cake and candle. Lovely touch which only happened thanks to the thoughtful hotel staff. I was also given a cake and candle after my breakfast on the morning of my birthday. This effort made our stay special.
The breakfast each morning was delicious with a wide range of fresh and beautifully presented food and drink.
All staff that we encountered were extremely helpful and polite. There's a calm feeling throughout this classy hotel with artwork and attention to meticulous detail evident everywhere.
We stayed in room 9 which was spacious, super clean and very quiet. There is only a window in the bathroom with a view of the rear of buildings but the room has a cosy feel, tucked away but close to the city buzz. The bathroom was huge with an excellent double shower and lovely toiletries.
The location is ideal for the metro, close to a small supermarket, loads of bars and restaurants on the main street and within walking distance of all the main tourist sites.
I cannot fault the hotel in any way and they deserve their high rating on every level.

This is a very well run boutique hotel in a very central location. We are 3 ladies and we stayed 4 nights in room 1 ( huge room) and 8 ( spacious for a single person but adequate for 2 ).the bed linen, pillows and quilt are super comfortable. Every staff member is great, spoke great English and extremely helpful especially Alisa (?) , Irena and Micheal. As mentioned by others, the daily breakfast is a real feast of wonderful local produce , we especially love the artisanal bread and the smoked meats and different daily yoghurt. Alisa set the tone for the whole stay by welcoming us in the big room when we checked-in with tea and coffee and cherry cake , all on the best china ( I love all their crockery, flower vases, coffee books, all so refined and beautiful).
There are only 9 rooms so we were glad we booked very early last year although its low season, they are still full. Unlike other boutique hotels elsewhere, there is a lot of storage and wardrobe space which I really appreciate as plenty of space to put away the gloves, hats and scarfs etc in the biting cold. Its also well located, plenty of cafes and restaurants around, the metro is only 5 mins away . Room 1 has a proper counter with Coffee machine, kettle and cupboard for tea cups etc.every room has kettle, hairdryer and Pure Love ( Russian brand) body cream and Hair cream sachets. Shower is powerful with choice of hand held/side or rain shower.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Moscow. Thanks to everyone there for making our stay memorable.

From the moment we were picked up at the airport by the driver organised through the hotel through to check out, the entire Brick Design experience was perfection. The service from all staff throughout our 4 day stay was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The hotel is perfectly positioned only 10 minutes walk from Red Square, 2 minutes to Metro. There are great cafes, restaurants and bars within 500m of the hotel, but it is set back from the main road so there is absolute silence at night.
The breakfasts are beautiful, consisting of freshly boiled eggs, coffee, tea, fresh baked breads, squeezed juices, spreads, meats and all locally sourced.
In the rooms (we stayed in rooms #1 and #8) you find a well stocked mini bar with waters, ciders, beers etc, very comfortable beds, Russian artworks, ultra modern bathroom and showers supplied with high quality shampoos and body washes.
I stay in hotels every week for work at home, but Brick Design felt more like coming home every day from visiting the sights of this beautiful city.
The location, the overall hotel quality and most importantly the "above and beyond" service attitude from all of the staff working at the hotel is a rarity these days and this will ensure we will be back again.

You should contact the hotel directly for an answer, they did offer to do this for our stay. However if you intend to stay anywhere else in Russia, this is important they cannot help with those locations. Far better to get an online invitation that includes all the places you may be visiting and staying at. Look at the website russiau for helpful tips. If you end up staying at the Brick you should have a wonderful time, lovely people and beautiful boutique hotel.
