I liked the location and the swimming pool. I did not like the breakfast, it was the same for all the entire stay and often missing things, like the spoon, the fork, the cup and eggs were always cold. Some people of staff was unprofessional and the room was very cold for the first 2 days. Poor choice and quality of menu restaurant. IN Addition, I booked and purchased another night (another room) because they did not accept late check out but I was stressed to leave the room earlier than possible in order to guest another traveller. This is not very fair since the room was purchased for one night. They called me to leave the first room earlier and to leave the new one when I was just entering with luggage. This approach of some of the staff was very annoying and ashamed. I'm sorry but this shall be reviewed by the responsible person.…
i have fallen into my mattress as it was broken. didn't bother to change room in the middle of the night. bad matteress == bad sleep room was clean and otherwise had nice table to work on. but mattress was an annoyance
Novotel standing implying cleaness, service level, etc. The hotel is very well located, with Metro next door - 15 minutes from touristic sites - Bolshoi/Kremlin - Very good and wide breakfast choices.
We stayed here for 3 nights during December and we were really pleased with the accomodation. The room was not tight and we could easily walk around, it was very clean, the bed was comfortable (although the pillows were too soft for my taste) and it's location although not in the typical centre of Red Square it was very convenient. Next to it or opposite to it is the Kievskaya station from which you can take a metro and within 2 stops you are at Red Square. Yandex taxi is the best option though since it picks you up from wherever you are and is super cheap - operates exactly like Uber. Around the hotel there are coffee shops and a Starbucks coffee and a quite large shopping mall with loads of shops. The staff were very attentive and very helpful when needed. No comments on the breakfast since we didn't have any. The hotel also operates with a security entrance where you need to pass through bag control for extra safety. Would definitely recommend this hotel.…
This time, I would like to share my first experience ever in visiting Moscow and staying at Novotel Moscow Kievskaya. Once my flight (from LHR) touched down in SVO, I decided to take Aeroexpress train to central Moscow station (Belorussky Rail Terminal; approx. 55 minutes). Well, they called this particular train an express train but it was travelling very slow for most of the journey. Once I reached Belorussky Rail Terminal, I got out from the train station and went to Belorusskaya Metro Station next door (Brown/Koltsevaya Line; aka Line 5). From Belorusskaya metro station, I got off at Kievskaya metro station (2 stops away) : I took exit 5 and got out of the metro station. Once I was outside the metro, I could see a fairly big and modern shopping centre in my left hand side and big Novotel, Ibis and Adagio Hotel signs in the building. The main entrance of those 3 hotels is not the same one with main entrance to the shopping centre. Hotel's lobby is located in 5th floor. Check-in was efficient and prompt. Within 15 minutes, I entered my suite room which was located in 11st floor (Room 11239). My room was clean, well maintained and nicely designed. It has separate area for living room/dining room and bedroom. The view from the room was excellent especially at night as it offered a glimpse of the nearby area as well as the city. Everything else was working properly during my 2 nights' stay in this particular hotel. The hotel also provided a complimentary mini bar, a bottle of wine (500 ml) along with macarons and fruits. I was really overwhelmed with the level of service the hotel performed (excellent and well planned). Breakfast in the morning was also someone has to try. Although the breakfast spread was not huge but most of them were of good quality. There is a good money changer located in the corner of the shopping centre where some can exchange their USD or EUR for Rubbles (but No GBP or any other currencies). Overall, this hotel is really ideal to be used as a base for anyone who is visiting Moscow either for business or pleasure. The proximity to metro station is another advantage for this hotel. Based on my latest experience in staying at this particular hotel, I won't hesitate to strongly recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for quality hotel accommodation in their future trips to Moscow. Personally, I also have no doubt whatsoever in providing a 4 stars' rating for this hotel.…
