The place was clean and our room had direct access to the pool.
In the evening, we enjoyed a drink at the bar. It was rather quiet since not at the touristic season but we had some fun.
If again in the region, I will for sure book this place again and it is without any hesitation that I recommend it for a short stay.
I went with my family, and we had 6 rooms out of the 13 rooms this boutique hotel offered. And only 2 other rooms were occupied when we went, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We enjoyed the night swimming and the private cabana provided for our family dinner and breakfast. Everyone enjoyed. The staff went above and beyond from the check-in to the checkout process.
Now for the cons, bathroom and room amenities can definitely be improved. I checked in a few days before our family staycation with a group of friends and unfortunately, the bathroom flush was not working when we checked in. I was petrified, knowing knowing that I will be back in a few days with a much bigger group. The staff said that the motor burst and they were working on it. We were frustrated, so we just left after checking in and came back at around 7:00pm. Thank God, the bathroom flush was working when we came back. I would have cancelled my family's reservation if it wasn't fixed by that time. Accidents happen, but I honestly haven't been to a hotel where the flush was not working.
Maintenance of the hotel can be improved for things like this and also the TV was not very clear. Not a big deal for me since we came for the pool, but needs to be fixed regardless, especially for long staying guests.
I would come back, but will make sure everything is working first=)
The pool was entirely filthy but was cleaned while we were there. It did look cute at night and the landscaping, lighting and art was charming.
No one answered the phone when you dialed zero. No front desk staff was around to help, ever. No one knew how to get you on the wireless, wrong codes were given. When zero was answered, no one knew how to ring a guest room or transfer calls and I could hear them having random conversations for about 3 minutes while they were trying to learn the phone system.
I found a big brown hairy jumping spider in my bed, which completely eliminated my thoughts of actually sleeping in it. There were at least 4 other spiders in the room (and many mosquitos) and a few unknown bug types, too. I felt creepy crawly being in the room.
Sitting out by the pool, my friends and I were visited by frogs, lizards, a cat and a rat. And all of us were just eaten alive by bugs.
The hotel is also on a main street and across the street from a school. The traffic noise was unreal.
We decided to check out the next morning, and the hotel wouldn't let us leave as no one with authority to check us out was there. They said they called the manager but she never came. It wasn't until we were walking out the gate after waiting for 90 minutes to check out that someone (not the manager) came to give us our bill.
The customer service at this hotel is a joke. A complete joke. I travel to the Philippines monthly so I know that things are a bit slower paced but this whole experience was an all time low for slow service.
I wouldn't recommend this place unless you have absolutely nothing else to do but wait around for long periods of time and if you like bugs in bed with you.
Our rooms was a bit basic and some things like this shower could have worked a bit better, but overall it was nice enough.
Our key problem was food and the responsiveness of the staff. The manager was really helpful but when she went home it was less good. Food took quite a while to arrive and when we asked for vegetarian options they really couldn’t grasp this. Even when we tried to ask for a replacement dish after the staff made a mistake with our order they first said the kitchen was closed then wanted to charge us for their error. In fairness when the manager came back the next day they dropped 5e charge but the staff need a bit more guidance on how to do things.
So overall ok but could have been better.
The deluxe rooms were good and comfortable. Though they need to have a garbage bin in the room. The table outside the room is a good way to have your breakfast and dinner. While the Cabana is good for some intimate meeting with business partners. The bar has a typical carribean feel to it.
"Get one with a balcony so you can eat outside next to the pool. Your breakfast is delivered to your room."Read full review
"Choose a corner room coz you hear everything when there are people at the pool, too close to the rooms."Read full review
