Our family have a walk in in this hotel and all staff both front office, housekeepers and in room dinning are accommodating! 5 star for this hotel.. My kid Zach really enjoy the pool experience.. Special mention on the guard who assist as when the parking was full..

We expected to stay 5 days but had to check out the next day. The 2 rooms we rented were both so musty and full of mould. The pillows and beds were so dirty. The sheets so thin that you could see your hand if you put it under. The balcony was facing the market and you could smell the stench from the market place. A corner was all green & black from the mould. It was not worth renting a large king Supreme room with the balcony because we could not sit and relax at the balcony anyway. The standard room was so so so musty. As you walk in the door you can smell the odor. The bathroom was all laced with black mould. See the photos. I do not recommend for anyone to stay here. If you have extra money, pay to stay at the Days Inn @ Wyndham. You can end up getting very very sick. You cannot buy your health back. You can always earn more money.

The place is nice, the stay with my family is really worth it while we are enjoying the City of Love! I also love the room because it is so spacious like we can fit there and still comfortable. Thank you Circle Inn!

When I arrived at the Circle Inn and saw the room, I realized that I had booked the wrong room. I needed tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. The staff on reception were so helpful and friendly, they upgraded me to a suite, with views of the sea and Guimaras Island. The room was massive, the bed was massive, you could have held a disco in the bathroom. It was one of the best rooms I've ever stayed in and only for a minimum upgrade fee. That is where the good points end. Yes, it overlooked the sea, but it also overlooked what I can only describe as a squatter area. I have no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is the dogs barking all day and night. It really did spoil our weeks stay. The owners of the dogs did not care that their dogs were barking loudly 24/7. With this in mind, I doubt very much if I would stay at the Circle Inn again. It's a real shame, because the hotel is good and the staff are wonderful. 😭😭

Hotel: Circle Inn Hotel, Iloilo City Number of days stayed: 9 Days I am a solo traveller from Manila, I chose to visit Iloilo, Guimaras and Roxas for this trip. This is my first time to visit these mentioned provinces and I just want to explore each city, eat good food and experience how they live their life here. When I was checking for a hotel to stay in Iloilo, I came across with Circle Inn - City Proper. On this review, you will be seeing my experiences during my stay here on this hotel. For your reference, I’m a traveller both International and Domestic - Jet setter to be called (with my line of work and for leisure). I’ve been to different hotels around the world and also here in the Philippines, this gives me more insight and comparison. Hotel Room: -Decent to stay in -Clean and neat when I get into the room -Furnitures and bathroom fixtures are not well maintained -Hotel towels, newly laundry but looks dirty because of its over usage sign (dark in color) -I usually check the bed coverings once I get in the room and upon checking on it, its not properly laundry because you can see stains and other markings on it, it gives you the feeling of a “Motel Feel-like” vibes. Good thing I always bring with me extra bed and pillow covering for my safety and sanity. -Basic hotel amenities are not provided (They just provide a shampoo/ shower gel and soap bar - so MOTEL amenities). You have to bring everything you need if you’re planning to stay in this hotel. -WIFI. In my 9 days stay here in the hotel I was never happy with their connection, it really sucks and if you’re here for a business trip I will not recommend you to stay here because you will not be able to work well with this kind of WIFI connection. -Air conditioning inside the room is functioning well all through out my stay in the hotel. Hospitality / Service: -Once I get in the hotel I really appreciate how the Guard welcomed me and helped me out with all my luggages. With my stay here in this hotel, the guards will really greet you whenever you go in and out of the hotel premises. Kudos to the guards on this hotel. -The receptionists on this hotel are quite acceptable and casual, they’re accommodating and helpful but will definitely mention one receptionist who really stand out from the rest, her name is “Wedj” if I can still fully remember how she pronounces her name to me. She definitely manifest what a receptionist should be and what are expected them to be. She’s really accommodating, helpful, kind / polite and most importantly she know her guests well. She handle things and circumstances well and responds promptly to the guest request, I experienced this first hand. -The restaurant staff, doesn’t know how to welcome their guests in the restaurant. I tried having breakfast the day that I arrived in the hotel and never repeated it again during the course of my stay in the hotel. They don’t even know how to greet their guests and whenever they come across with you in the hotel premises they just walk through like they’ve never seen a guest. These are the people who does not smile at their guests, they give you an arrogant look and response whenever you ask something from them. I really can’t take their kind of service. One of the worst services compared to other local hotels in the Philippines. -The hotel room cleaners, these ladies are really accommodating and kind towards their hotel guest requests. They really do what is expected from them and tried to deliver at their best. I really appreciate the hard work of these ladies. Kudos to you guys. -Most of their staff are courteous and polite towards their fellow Ilonggo compared to visitors/ guests from other places just like me (From Manila). isn’t it just so pathetic to have such discrimination within my own country? Food: -I just tried ordering once and doesn’t have any plans of doing it again, I’m quite picky with my food and their food standards does not meet my expectations. I would rather just go out and try local food and restaurants just to satisfy my food cravings. -Their food choices are common and nothing special to try on. better go out and try different local restaurants around the city. Facilities: -Dont expect too much from this hotel, this is just a casual/decent place to stay in, nothing special to expect. There are other much better hotel to stay in around the area. -Staff here doesn’t have the urgency to clean up wet floors in the lobby, in the elevator and even in the hallways. SUMMARY: -I will never again stay on this hotel If I will be back in Iloilo any time soon. -Their service and hospitality is one of the worst I’ve experienced in all my travels. Except for some people I’ve mentioned above who showed outstanding performance and hospitality. -FYI, this hotel does not accept any discount cards like in my case they don’t accept my PWD card both for food and room, they have a lot of alibis to tell. -I will definitely not recommend this hotel to friends and family who are thinking of visiting Iloilo. -If you are looking for a casual/ decent place to stay-in in Iloilo then you can opt for this place but if you’re on vacation just like me and wanted to have great time, I will definitely not go for this one. These are all factual reviews and really based on my actual experiences in this hotel. Its all up to you you’re willing to quite spoil your vacation here in Iloilo by staying in this accommodation. Response from Orson Ong, General Manager at Circle Inn - Iloilo City Center
Responded Aug 11, 2022
Dear Mr. Lao, Thank you for taking the time to publish your comments about your experience at Circle Inn - Iloilo City Center. I am disappointed that we did not meet your expectations even if I appreciate your pointing out what you see as deficiencies in our facilities and services. This will help us improve by calling to task my staff and pointing out the good ones as well. Some of the deficiencies you mentioned such as the quality of our laundry service providers and the less than friendly coffeeshop staff are still the lingering effects of the pandemic we came though from. Suppliers are not ready to fulfill new orders, etc. But you are definitely right about many of your observations as we are trying our best to address them during this opening up of travel. Just some points of clarification so that our other readers may also be aware: 1. We honor Senior Citizen / PWD discounts but since this does not happen always and we have new staff as well, they should have brought this up to my attention. I would also like to point out that if you book thru online travel agencies (OTA's) like Agoda, the discount should be requested from them. Secondly, as you may notice, we are also running deeply discounted promos and therefore SC/PWD's can choose which promo to avail but cannot be on top of each other. 2. Our price point as a hotel caters to the middle market of travellers and because of the promos we are running currently (as low as P999 per night), we get many local guests who are staycationing because of our good sized pool and reasonably priced and good food in our coffeeshop. This comes with many children and despite our best efforts, hallways will have drops of water and smudges due to guests not toweling dry well when going back to their rooms. But rest assured we are still trying to solve this issue except the option of having 1 staff following everybody around the hallways. 3. We have recently upgraded our wifi service to 300 mbps but we throttle each devices bandwidth to make sure no one guest will hog all the network traffic. I believe you've been helped in this aspect. 4. Our room amenities are basic as designed. Yes, we only provide head and body liquid wash, soap, hot water kettle and for our deluxe rooms and up, complimentary coffee and tea. Toothbrush and tooth paste are available at the Front Desk at minimal cost and slippers are on request. Room pitcher is also provided to obtain filtered water from our dispensers in the hallways. We try to avoid single use / disposable items to minimize our footprint on the environment. Nevertheless, I thank you for staying with us for 9 days! We hope that you will consider us again on your next visit.

I would like to bring to your attention an unpalatable situation which we found out after our check out. This has left me troubled as I made every effort to solve the issue. My Green iPhone 11, with clear case and pictures of the kids at the back was left at Room 207 last Feb. 20,2022. With confirmation from my kids, brother and our helper the phone was kept under the pillow before checkout. However, we went back to check last Feb 21,2022 to inquire if they had seen the phone, but they reported that they did NOT. I am not gonna leave a review, send an email, etc. if we are NOT sure. There's no place for us to check aside from this hotel. Right after our check out, we went home straight and the phone was missing already. 'Tho we take responsibility for this act of negligence and apologize for it but we do hope that they will help us solve the issue. *pic for reference

I stayed in this hotel every time I'm back in the Philippines with my family, but because of this pandamic after 2 years then I'm back again in this hotel to book 2 nights one in deluxe room and the other night in family room, what I surprised me the most is that, this not the hotel i like to stay before, the lobby area is not like a lobby any more, both rooms that I stayed, the toilet bowl is stain and yellowish, cover is spoilt, there's a few cockroaches around, the floor tiles is crack, one of the bed sheets they used is L shaped tear,no more complementary, and they should not put a water dispenser in the common area for pandemic reason,no more sleeper gaven. The colour of the towels turn into dirty white. The only good thing is that, staff is friendly and visitors are allowed.Until now I been thinking what happened to Circle inn,why become like this.Is not not will maintain anymore.

I booked a solo room with the hotel before the Holy week and I took advantage of their promo. I was accommodated by the nice front desk employee and got a nice room far from the elevator and near in the window area. I like the room and services. However, the pool was close during that time. Also, they are observing Covid protocols in the building. Overall, it was a wonderful experience staying in this hotel and looking forward for more reservations soon. Thank you Circle Inn.

I stayed in this hotel end of January 2021 for a short stay. I choose this because of its affordable price and promising facilities and stay. I like here because it is quiet and I have a peaceful fitful deep slumber I wake up wonderfully because I have more than enough hours of sleep. The pool looks awesome as well except that it is too cold and the heater doesn't help maybe it isn't working. My real complain really is the poor wifi signal in my room I have a hard time connecting and it only gets worse during a rainy day when I don't get any signal at all. The cabinet is too simple I have to place to hang my clothes and keep my belongings and there is no safety deposit box. The price of the food in their cafeteria is too steep in relation to the quality and quantity and also so many food in their menu is not available during my stay maybe because of limited guests they were not able to prepare adequately. I like their staff very friendly, courteous, respectful and accommodating and always smiling. Highly exceptional workers I must say. Over all I like my stay here because I was able to sleep and stay here peacefully and wonderfully.
