I wasn't aware of the history of this hotel until a colleague told me on my last night. So this happens to be an old hospital during WWII. Some creepy stories as well but location is good especially during Dinagyang festival because this is located in the heart of the festivities. They have good place to eat at the ground floor and there are nearby stores where you can buy snacks.

Stayed here for four days during Dinagyang Festival and was just perfect as it is accessible to almost all performance sites.

As for the hotel room, I’m a bit disappointed for the lack of bidet. Their bath amenity/toiletries (imho) is quite bad. Had to purchase from a nearby store.

The breakfast buffet is of limited choices/servings. Good to fill up the tummy but not enough for a bfast person.

Overall though, this I guess is the best place to stay for vacation. Just don’t forget to bring your own bath stuff. (Really can’t get over this).

I booked a room for 3 days and 2 nights in this hotel and they exceeded my expectations .
Even though their cable TV is not working , you still get the value for what you pay for. The room size was just right. Complete toiletries. The swimming pool is clean and is free of use. Breakfast is satisfying and staff are helpful.
Good location too. Just a 10 peso jeepney ride to Parola Port if you wanna go to Guimaras. Just 2 rides from Ceres Terminal coming from Carles , Iloilo. Short walk away from several fastfood chains and SM delgado.
Highly recommended

very affordable hotel w/ breakfast.. location is right in the middle of the old side of iloilo city. roberto's siopao is a short 300m walk away.. the room is fairly small w/ an eccentric bathroom setup but serves our purpose as we just needed a bed to sleep because we are out during daytime. they have a lot of trainees/interns in the property that in the restaurant (rabbit hole) - the waiter can not answer our basic questions.

Response from GoldberryLiteIloilo, Manager at Goldberry Lite Hotel
Responded Feb 5, 2020
Good Day morning Sir/Ma'am, Thank you for your feedback, we truly appreciate it. We feel sorry about the baby roaches but honestly management is trying our best to eliminate this kind of pest. We normally have two pest control schedules (every 15th & 30th) in a month. Rest assured management is taking this concern very seriously and this is our top priority. With regards to your bed sheets, we provide our guests new linens upon check in. However for the rest of your stay, the hotel will change your beddings only upon request during "Make UP Room" or when the Room Attendants (RA) feels the need to change it because it is dirty. The hotel also provided each room with acrylic signage wherein if you need your linens & towels to be replaced the guest will place that sign on your bed so that our Room Attendants will replace your linens & towels. This is just in support of the campaign being an environment friendly hotel. Trust that our well trained RA's are very meticulous in maintaining the cleanliness and the proper observance of sanitation & hygiene to all our guest rooms. To further review on your concern, may I ask your reservation details such as the guest name, check-in/out. We value your comments & surely we will continue to strive harder to serve you better. Thank you so much and we look forward on your next visit here in Goldberry Lite Iloilo. We hope you can refer our hotel to be the home of your relatives & friends either in business or pleasure here in the City of Iloilo. Very respectfully yours, Bethoven M. Indig

We book this hotel online thru AGODA and we pay the rooms online too and got the confirmation. We check in as per our schedule with no hassle. The room is clean but quite small. Amenities were basic. Water is leaking on the glass partition when you take shower (not enough sealant on the upstand and glass). Cable TV is problematic on my room need to restart the digi box. Internet connection during that time is down and we cannot connect. Breakfast is serve according to your choice of set menu. The problem arose when we check out. we check out early since we need to go somewhere before heading to the airport for our 11am flight. to my surprise I have outstanding bill for the rooms. When I ask, what it is the helpless staff do not know what it is. Since this is not my first time to book hotels online I was wondering what it is and I ask for explanation. The staff is feeling helpless she cannot call her supervisor or manager since there was load on their mobile. I gave my mobile phone since we are in a hurry and time is ticking. After reaching the manager I guess It was canceled and we were able to check out but we lost more than 30 min of our precious time.

I was satisfied with my room and the overall service. The room was spacious enough, comfortable and well-appointed. The front office staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Given that I only stayed overnight, I didn't mind the lack of a cabinet - the clothes hanger above the luggage rack was enough for me. Just had a bit of a problem with the safe inside the room - it ran out of battery so I had a bit of a panic (before I called for help) when I was not able to open it to get my stuff. Fortunately, someone immediately came to unlock it.

As for the breakfast selection, I feel that it could still be improved, including replenishment of servings. Their breakfast window is supposed to be from 6am-10am however, when I came down at 8:30am, one of the dishes was already wiped out and was no longer replenished and the rest were already almost gone. (I pity those who came after me.) I also suggest that they offer fruit juice instead of iced tea for breakfast.
