Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Luxur place for just one night, but if we hadn't had a flight the next day we would have been very happy to stay longer.
For the price the hotel was excellent value with exceptional service. Free internet, plus a kettle and hair dryer promptly brought to our room upon request. It's little things like that, that really make your stay at a hotel.
They have a large clean open pool which is open 24 hours!! I've actually never come across a hotel with a 24 hour pool.
As for location it's very slightly out of the main town area with the malls and restaurants etc. but we just took a Jipney (local Philippino bus costing only 8 pesos each - about 5 / 10 minutes. Then as it was getting late we took a cab back for 65 PHP.
I have been using a lonely planet travel guide whilst in the Philippines and it doesn't rate Bacolod as a particularly exciting city.
However in life it's always best to find out for yourself! And I really liked it. I preferred it to other cities including Cebu, as it's a lot more vibrant and diverse. I loved the buzz of the local food markets in contrast to the large luxury shopping malls.
Highly recommend Luxur place as the hotel to stay at, to enjoy this great city!

We stayed here for one night in October before flying back from Bacolod to Manila and were very impressed. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. As a family of 4 we paid only 1700 php for a huge bedroom with two king size beds and a flat screen TV. The bathroom was a bit dated but there was plenty of hot water and the air conditioning worked ok in the room.
The hotel gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. The hotel also has a very large swimming pool which the children really enjoyed. The hotel restaurant was also recommended to us by another guest but we had other plans so we didnt actually get to eat there.
I would definately stay here again the next time we are in Bacolod City.

Receptionist was not so receptive yet fast in demanding 1-day advance payment. Traditional room key and no switch to insert. Bedside table tho has the switches for AC, TV, & lights. More cumbersome as you have to snap several switches before leaving room.
P1,500/day Standard Room had a mini ref but had no complim drinking water to cool (what is P15 for 2 btl water tsk, tsk?). AC unit is on the same level as the bed; adjusted louvers 45 deg upwards.
Pros
Spacious room (30sq.m); large pool (apprx 9x18M) plus a rounded kiddie pool (8M dia / 2’ deep)
Cons
Teleperformance BPO in G/F so agents malinger in pool area 24/7, privacy sacrificed. Homey Korean guests seated on corridor floor. Bulky 22” TV attached to skycable w/ no Discovery, HBO & CI channels. Can’t charge food in room bill. Front parking only limited to 10 cars.

I arrived to Luxor Place and the staff is carrying pleasant smile always, this hotel is so much welcoming. I have decided to stay for my entire tour of 12 days there because of the ambience is very peaceful they have a good pool view which amazes me every morning.
My stay Starting from 31st March to 11th April 2022 will be memorable 😇
Hotel is close to all main areas in Bacolod city.
Safety measures are taken care by their staff you cannot get more in the price you have paid for the stay.
Overall this property is budget friendly and human friendly place with neat and clean ambience and a best swimming pool.
Definitely looking to stay with them again ❤️

The hotel is pleasant, it retains the refinement of old times, renovation can wait a few years, I think. The rooms are spacious and clean, the room service works perfectly. The staff was mostly friendly and at the appropriate level. A big plus is the garden with a 25-meter swimming pool open from 6am to 10pm and a small children's pool.
The only problem I have with Teleperformence employees. They walk through the garden and disturb hotel guests (apparently have no other access), worse is that they take up space in the Cabana restaurant.

I have been staying in this hotel off & on for over 20 years { It was called the Bacolod Covention plaza then } & I think that it is one of the nicest hotels in town.
Good price for a well equiped & clean room. always hot water aval, cable TV, Fridge. Proper bath tub & a double & single bed,Good AC & 2 swimming pools in there excellantly maintained gardens.
Nice little restrauant & a large chinese Restaraunt connected on the side of the hotel.
Not the newest hotel in town but the one I will return to.....

When first arriving at the hotel, the trike driver brought to the rear entrance, next to the dumpsters, so the first impression wasn't necessarily positive.
Arriving at night, there was not a lot to see outside, although I did notice the pools, and I figured-out how to get to the main lobby area. The lobby consisted of a restaurant, a call center, which I believe occupies a good portion of the building, the check-in area, another restaurant, and a waiting lobby.
Everything seemed clean, but a bit old-fashioned (not in a good way).
After finding a staff member to help with check-in, I proceded to my room. I had requested a king bed and a high floor. Unfortunately, the room I received was on the second floor and had both a double and a single bed. I was told that what I requested doesn't exist at this hotel. The hotel also has only four floors.
The hotel's best days seem to be behind it. This could change, if they renovate and update the furnishings. It seems to be a 1980s motiff in the room, but to their credit, I found the room to be very clean.
At first, the hot water in the shower was like warm pee. After making the issue known, housekeeping and maintenance found a way to increase the heat to a comfortable, if not steaming, level. The shower head does need cleaning. The bath tub is so narrow, that I would consider it a bit unsafe for showering, especially with a partner. The rest room is very dark, with only a single 24" flourescent lamp to provide illumination. Water is not potable, so buy a bottle of water to brush your teeth.
The Internet service provided seemed slow, but that is a common problem in the Philippines and may not be the fault of the hotel. They did have a router in the room.
The door knob is a very weak level of security. While the room has an interior latch, a deadbolt would feel much more secure. This is not to say that the hotel seems unsafe, but it would not be hard to gain entry to a room through such weak security.
I had a chance to look at the pools the next day. The water did not look clean, and the tiles have likely not received a proper scrubbing in years. While the gardens were quite nice, the pools were nothing special, design-wise. I wouldn't swim there, but many people did.
Mini-bar service is provided upon request, but the ref inside the room was old, had broken panels, and I doubt that it would have worked. The television was quite nice and provided good sound and video quality, but the hotel only subscribes to about half of the channels available. It would have been nice to have a full subscription, including the paid sports channels available.
Room assistance was incredibly fast! Overall, for the price, I would recommend this hotel, and I would likely stay there again.

This hotel is "supposedly" one of the better hotels in Bacolod and as far as the hotel itself, it is very nice. BUT, they have a telecommunication service (call center) located in one wing of the hotel. I like to get up in the morning and go out back and have coffee at the restaurant. (I'm a smoker and the smoking area is outside)
Half the time you cannot get a table because it is full of call center employees!

We stayed here for two weeks during Oct/Nov 2011 and found the place very relaxing.
Its not shiny and new like you would find in a chain. It's fairly 'old-style' but that was part of the charm.
The staff were all very pleasant and we particularly liked the fact that there was a very relaxed feel about the place.
They have wi-fi and a PC you can use for printing things off.
The menu in the restaurant is a bit limited but nevertheless we ate breakfast there every day without fail.
We ate out in the evenings although I did have a steak there on the last night and that was really good.
Some reviewers of this place have mentioned the call-centre staff 'hanging around' but during our stay they never approached the pool area and didn't impact on us at all.
There only seem to be two sun beds but tbo the pool hardly ever seemed to be used during our stay. We used it a few times though and it was clean and refreshing.
The gardens are pleasant and well maintained.
It is located away from the main activities in Bacolod but you can get to the malls etc for a couple of (UK) pounds so it wasn't a problem for us at all.

We booked this hotel last minute. The rooms are big, but the shower was cold. I guess the hotel is from a Korean owner. The good thing is that the hotel is not far out of the center. A good place to stay a night, but check the shower first, so you wouldn't be surprised in the morning.
