I booked this hotel thru agoda because:
The price for a night only cost 462 pesos.. Sooo cheap plus they said they will provide breakfast!!! Imagine the room s good for 2.. Normal room non aircon..
Nxt is location wise! Since i just need a place to sleep for my nxt day trip to sipalay..this place is just near to the ceres southbound terminal ( sipalay, hinobaan, dumaguete ,etc)
So thats why i chose this coz of price n location ...
Things i dont like about the room:
The cr.. Omg if u can see the toilet bowl...seems they cant clean it properly! Theres lots of cleaning agent in the market.. The water sucks.. The pressure of the water s soooo minimal. Like u cant even wash ur hair n body properly...
The towel .. The towel looks dirty.. Seems its been used for ages.. And its sooo thin...
The room i got s 301- third floor no elevator but thats ok..
But im.in the corner near the stairs so i can hear everyone walking ..talking laughing.. So to make it short i didnt slept properly..
Lastly.. They said they offer free breakfast..
Omg i checked out at 7.40 am.. Still the one to cook is not yet around.. How poor service s dat.. Other hotel or lets say pensionhouse are starting to give breakfast at 6.00am..
Terrible. Am sorry but am disappointed.
One night or two, not more.
Staff was kind and helpfull.
Breakfast not included.
Our room was tiny, as was the bed and the bathroom. We also had serious problems showering as there was never any water, we were told to wait 15 minutes and then 30 minutes with no explanation. We overheard another, older westerner exclaim 'Of course there's no water, it's the Blue Roof!' to the staff one afternoon!
Location-wise, this place is not the easiest to find. When I told my friends from Bacolod where my friend and I were staying, they weren't familiar with the area either. Once you're there though, it's very easy to get places thanks to the number of jeepneys running through the street just one block over from this pension house. It's still some distance away from Lacson St. (where almost everything is and happens) so you better be prepared to ride those jeepneys a lot.
I did not get to see how their overall service was since I was rarely there (probably slept only a total of 15 hours over my three-night stay) but I will give them some credit for allowing us to check-in almost 4 hours earlier than they normally allow.
The room was average at best. It was only big enough for exactly two people. There was no room to add an extra mattress for a third person - much less to accommodate his or her luggage. The bathroom was smaller than what I would have considered comfortable. The water pressure was weak most of the time. The water heater works with what pressure the shower can muster though so I guess that's a plus. The bed was a little too small for two guys to share. It also sank a little too much under our weight. I know I'm a little on the heavy side but that was too much sinking.
Bottom line? Book your lodging for Bacolod earlier. When all else fails, this place isn't that bad a fallback.
"We got room 308, which received too much light in the morning hours. The curtains can barely keep any light out."Read full review
