It appears that the owners are simply oblivious to the run down conditions. The in-house Bar is no longer operational. The morning shift kitchen should be referred to as the Greasy Spoon. The Pool Side 1st floor rooms should be called the Mosquito Mating Center. The door exiting your room to the pool area had a half inch gap on the bottom so that the Mosquitos could move in and out freely. Don't try to get a Mini Fridge in your room even at a reasonable increase your room rate. The saving grace of the operation was the dining area staff; they were cheerful, quick and helpful.

It's at the city center with all the interesting restaurants and places to visit like the museum close to it. It's right behind Calea (the one across L'Fisher) so it's quite easy to locate.

The solo room is tiny but it's tolerable.

They can arrange a van pickup for airport.

Also a good jump-off point if you are headed to Silay or Victorias for a day trip.

We were not able to book online so I made reservation thru FB message and asked for their mobile number since I don't have access to the net while on the road. I requested for an early check in since I brought my 1y.o baby with me and they considered the request. We arrived at 8am and I'm thankful that they already assisted us to our room. The place is very nice. We liked the Inn's accessibility to the main road and is near all the tourist spots/dining places you could visit while in the city, either you can walk or take a jeepney ride exploring the rest of the city.

My hands are still trembling while writing this review! I took a trip to Bacolod to visit my girlfriend and we decided to stay at this place because other more reputable hotels were fully-booked. At first we thought it was fine, since the amenities are acceptable and the rate is substantially cheaper. However, during our second night while were about to sleep, I saw a small thin stick poking at the curtain of our window, so I got out of bed and checked, thinking that it was just something that got stuck there somehow. To my surprise, as I pulled on the stick, somebody from the other end tried to pull it back from me! And I even heard a faint reaction and the sound of footsteps running away. That instant, I knew somebody was peeping! So I pulled the curtain aside in an attempt to see who did it, but the area outside the window was dark and it was impossible to see anything - much less someone who is trying run away fast. I could not even begin to describe how exploited we felt - and to think that it was our second night! Only God knows if somebody was already peeping on us the first night or worse - he / they do / does / did this to other couples numerous times. My opinion is yes - they have already done this before and are apparently doing it continuously because nobody has caught them yet, until I did. I say this because when I re-checked, I saw other poke marks on the mosquito screen mesh attached to the wooden-framed jalousie window. After the incident, I rushed to the lobby infuriated because I knew that it must be one of the hotel staff since the spot where he peeped from was an area where only hotel staff are allowed access to! But of course, as expected, nobody admitted it. Our room is located at the ground floor near the pool, and beside it was a small gate leading to I don't know where, but it was certainly still a part of the hotel infrastructure because it had a paved pathway leading to a door. As I remember, the lights on that small space was turned off the first night we arrived at the hotel - apparently, the management of Saltimboca Tourist Inn prefers to save on their electricity bill rather than guarantee the safety and security of their guests by turning off the lights in that area. Or maybe, the employees deliberately keep that area dark because it was their "good time spot", especially if it were couples occupying that room. Another thing that enraged us was that the front desk officer still had the nerve to charge us extra after we requested to be transferred to another room! We got peeped on for goodness sake! The morning after, as early as 6:00 AM, we got out of that place and swore never to go back! I share this experience for concern to other visitors and tourists who are eyeing the place - unless you want to be watched during your most private moments, STAY AWAY FROM SALTIMBOCA TOURIST INN!

Visualize a big house with lots of guest rooms. That's what it feels like. Like a family welcoming you into their home - the staff is friendly, and everyone's nice.

If you're on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep in, then I'd recommend this. It's very basic - basic bed, aircon, clean bathroom - don't expect anything more. They have free breakfast but it's also basic.

There's a small pool good for a quick dip that would refresh you for the day. The garden set up is quite refreshing because there's a lot of trees.

I didn't see an elevator so would recommend a room at the ground floor.

But for the price, the location is wonderful - it's within walking distance to good restaurants (Calea, Felicia's, Chicken House, 21, etc.), and it's just off the main road (Lacson) where you can easily hail a cab or jeepney to get to anywhere.

I'd recommend this if:
- You're on a tight budget but value location
- You want to spend more money on food and adventure trips outside the city (there's lots to see)
- You're not particular with the bed and room quality, extra services and amenities
- You're staying in Bacolod for a few days/weeks and rates would add up

I have been staying in Salimboca several time in the past 3 years this trip things have gone down hill. 1. The breakfast is all oil 2. The night club is closed except Friday 3. The restaurant closes at 9:30 PM also if you want to get something to drink you can't. 4. Mosquitos own the room. This will be my last stay in Salimboca.
A new place L'Fisher ECOhotel has opened next to the L'Fisher Hotel with great prices that's my next spot to stay.

I actually did not expect to enjoy our stay here that much. When we arrived, the aircon was not working that well but we just turned it on the whole day and it actually did its job well.

When we got to the room, the flush in the toilet wasn't working but the maintenance guy immediately fixed it.

The location was really great. It's at the back of Calea and you can walk to Bongbong's and a 711 store from here. There was no wifi in our room. We had to go to the lobby to connect to their wifi but overall it was a great place to stay. We paid Php 1,900 for 4 people (with free breakfast for 2) and we had a lot of space for the 4 of us. Would stay here again whenever I'm in Bacolod. :)

Cheap and great location with breakfast. Very near to the best meals in Bacolod. Calea is just beside the inn and Bob's and 18th street palapala is just few blocks away. Bacolod chicken is everywhere in Bacolod City you wont miss it.

For a backpacker, my stay was a cost saving indeed. Comfort wise-okayish..
Not so accommodating staff. Chorizo Pudpud is a must try!.
Still, this is the best location for you to try the best Bacolod pastries (Calea/Cafe Bob/BongBong etc.) has to offer with just walking around the city center.
