Avenue Suites is one of the most accessible accommodations in Bacolod since it's located along Lacson Street, one of the main thoroughfares of the city. Its facilities are okay, with a nice swimming pool, a small fitness center, a lovely restaurant, etc. on the ground floor. The rooms, on the other hand, were minimalist in design, with no decors whatsoever on the walls and very limited furniture, but quite spacious and with a private toilet/shower room. They're very strict with the "no outside food and drinks to be brought into the room" policy and yet they don't even provide guests with free water. As to the toiletries, they have a shampoo/body wash dispenser fixed on the wall of the shower box and a toothbrush with some tooth paste. Nothing more. The only thing they really have to work on is the noise on the ground floor and of some guests and staff in the corridors. The rooms have very thin walls. I was on the second floor (room 212) near the stairs and the elevators and I could practically hear all the noises outside. Hence, I suggest that you avoid booking a room on the second floor near the stairs and the elevator. By the way, breakfast was okay and hotel staff were very accommodating.

We booked a room with free breakfast but the use of pool is not free.. You need to pay additional 250 per pax. First time to experience an overnight accomodation that i need to pay for additional fee for the usage of pool. Weak internet signal and the tv is not user-friendly...

I've stayed here multiple times and the location is great and the rooms aside from the ongoing noisy construction are great. Only complaint I would have is the fee for brining food inside the hotel. I get this js standard practice in many places in Asia but still my least fav policy as I don't like tk eat in hotel restaurants the majority of the time. Aside from that, great super friendly staff and highly recommended place to stay. WiFi has much inproved since my first stay here in August of 2018 so huge thumbs up for that as well.

We used to like this hotel on its early days ( we stayed about 4 times in this hotel) however the last 2 stays we had in this hotel was terrible. On our last stay, no prior information that there was construction going on so the noise during daytime is bad even if you still just wanna sleep. We also ordered their "bestseller" grilled (tuna or salmon, i cant remember). When the "bestseller"was placed on our table, the fish size was so small the room key card was even bigger. When I asked the waiting staff how many grams is the fish they could not answer. She said she will ask the cook.Waited for a long time but when she finally came back she just placed on the table an additional super small fish without any explanation and went away. When I called her and asked about how many grams the standard fish was she said even the cook does not know and thats why she placed the additional super small fish. I was so shocked at the attitude and the was they handled it. I was not after an extra food or even free food. I simply asked a legitimate question to which was not answered. I asked Front office staff for a duty manager but as always no one is on duty. Even when I followed up the next day there was still no manager. We will no longer use this hotel on our trips to Bacolod.

I booked this hotel on April 12-14. Thinking that the pool is free to use, I booked an additional night before my original booking. I have spoken with them in several occasions before I book in Agoda and nobody told me that booking in Agoda will have you pay P250 to swim in the pool. On my first day, the receptionist has some confrontation with some guests. The guests were not informed of an extra charge for the pool. My son was worried that they might also charge us for using the elevator.
Their key card doesnt work. Wifi doesnt work. We need to call the reception few times whenever we go back to the room, to have it fixed.
In their room you will find the list of the things you will need to pay if you break or damage them. As if their guests book a room to break everything. Appaling!

Avoid at all costs!!!!
Staff are lazy and rude to patrons
Breakfast is terrible and always missing something like no orange juice or no ham and cheese today. The hotel has been neglected and needs a renovation urgently. During my stay my fridge broke, telephone wasn't working and they demanded 500 pesos for an extra room key. The beds look like they are 10 years + and haven't been refreshed. The only positive is the swimming pool.

Make sure you check everything in the room as soon as you get in. You will have to pay penalties for something you didn't report.

The night we checked in, I had noticed preexisting blue stains on the sheet. They were faded so I didn't think much of it, which ended up being my mistake. When checking out the following day, I was told we were being charged a fee for the stains! Definitely take pictures and report anything, just to be safe. I had also been told if you have any missing towels you will be charged for that as well.

Stay away from this hotel. It does not deserve to be called a hotel at all. First, I booked for 1 adult and 2 children, they only provided 2 pillows. When I asked for extra pillow, they said that it would be charged. Why would they provide only 2 pillows when you booked for 3 persons in the first place. Second, they advertise that they have a pool. Normally, people would assume that the facilities mentioned in booking sites are available for guest use unless you need additional services. When we got there, the pool is for 250php per person per day on top of what you paid for already. Third, The quality of breakfast is really not good. I would have expected it already after the below par services that We have received. Fourth, rooms are poorly maintained, e.g. the basin has a big crack on it. The only good thing is the location as it has lots of restos and shops around. If you’re a person that expects something from a “hotel” then don’t come to this place. Airbnbs we have stayed in bacolod have better accommodation and have free pool access. There I said it!

Supervisor never on duty, front desk staff rude, Faith and Kim were very unhelpful. The hotel is ran by a bunch of HRM students who lack any real experience. Hotel needs to be better managed, also tried to charge us a corkage for a bag of chips... wow!

Do not take your family here if you have children, the pool area which is a public area is all smoking which is totally against the RA.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This hotel was compared to l’fisher and Seda as an alternative. Stayed here because rooms were recommended to us as huge by a local. Maybe quality has gone down since but the way they run this hotel is terrible. There is an extra charge for everything including the use of pool and gym. They told us that we booked a low price on Agoda and it only included the room. So when you say room only.. it’s just the room and nothing else! My baby vomited on her crib mattress and we tried asking for an extra bedsheet. They tried to charge us 250 pesos so we just got the sheet off our bed and used it on her mattress. At least the parking was free. Also they were fixing the septic tank so the whole hotel smelled like feces all afternoon until it was fixed. In the evening no one was working anymore and there was no more smell. Gross! Would never stay here again!
