We transferred here on our 2nd day in Silay. Room is spacious but seems to have a certain smell when aircon is off.

It was nice that they offer a cheaper price for a room with no tv (PHP600).

This pension house is located right at the center of Silay's heritage zone so museums, old buildings, cathedral, etc are a walk away.

There's still a lot to improve on for this establishment but the friendly staff makes it ok for us.

I know that this is a long over over due review but since Tripadvisor was not yet popular at that time when I traveled to Manila-Iloilo-Silay-Manila with my co workers few years ago. I think it would be good to write a review about this hotel.

It is located at the center of Silay. It is very near the market where you can buy pretty cheap products from fruits to dried fish. It is also a stone throw away to the famous El Ideal and a few minutes away from the new airport.

The room that we got has 3 beds and an old TV which was just fine with us because we were not always in the hotel at that time. We were always roaming around the city.

What I don't really like about in this hotel was the water supply in the bathroom. On our 1st day in the hotel, I was about to take a shower when I opened the shower a yellowish rusty kind of water poured out from the shower and faucets and it lasted for a few hours so my co workers and I decided to just let it flow overnight hoping the water will be clear the next day. Thankfully... It was.

But when it comes to services and people in the hotel I would say they are so nice and good. I would still recommend this hotel. Just let the front desk know if there are problems in your room.

We are a couple of backpackers travelling for 1,5 months in Philippines. We always tried to sleep in low cost guesthouses. We know when the prices are lower the quality of services can we worst but we don't mind. We have been sleeping in hotels with common toilets, doing the" bucket shower", cold water, dust on the floor, 3cm thick matress...no worries . The range of prices we have paid is around 300 and 500 Filipino Peso. We have never complained because we know we are sleeping in low cost.
But everything changed when we arrived to Silay in Negros, after asking prices in every guesthouse and pension in city we realized the cheapest was Baldivia, but still a bit expensive for our budget, 600 pesos: fan room, private bathroom, hot shower, tonight's luxurious! As we had no choice we booked the room. The houseman gave us two room choices, one had a very strong moist and humidity smell. The other one, was slightly better, no moist smell but plenty of moist stain on the ceiling. No worries, we choosed the second one. Once we were in, we realized the shower had no water running. I went downstairs and they fixed the water pump. Then, I went to the shower and there was very strong smely water and orange colour running! I drained 3 buckets on my own but still. I went to the reception and houseman came to do the same but longer. Then, you can see the photos of the broken bed linen and towels. The linen had black stain all over. We asked to be replaced. Toilet lid is broken. We had courtesy soap already used, somebody leave it and they didn't cleaned the bathroom?
All of this I still can say no worries, but the thing that annoyed me the most is that I have never heard 'we are sorry or we apologize' So in conclusion, this room is not worthy for the price they are asking, the owners have to realise. No courtesy water. Just wifi in reception. Room very very noisy because of karaoke on the street.
I don't recommend it.

Ich habe mich hier extrem unwohl gefühlt:

The place is strategically located near SM City Bacolod, Lopues San Sebastian, Chicken House, and Jollibee. The new rooms are clean, spacious and updated. I'd highly recommend this place to travelers both small and big groups.

Bonus: There's available parking space and also along jeepney routes so it's easy to go around the city.

Nur im Notfall zu empfehlen da das hotel schon sehr heruntergekommen ist!! Besonders die sanitäranlagen Dusche, WC sehr verschmutzt !! Was mir auffiel das überall selbstgeschriebene Zettel an der Wand hingen wo darauf stand No Smokin!! Währe sicher bessser sie würden mal die Sanitäranlagen reinigen und reparieren!! Positiv war nur das das Hotel in Flughafen nähe war.
