We came as walked-in guests but we were welcomed as if they were expecting us. Max at the reception was very helpful. Love the standard room - it's huge and the bed was comfortable. Location is quite central - close to the seaport, bus station, shopping centres and restaurants. Also, rooms are very affordable - perfect for budget travelers like us.

+1
The place is affordable especially to those travelers on a budget. It is near some of the tourist spots and you can just walk. The air-con is a bit old so expect it not to be that cold. Helpful staff. There was a power outage during our stay and good thing they have generator for the lights but not for air-con. We just have to keep our windows open (just for a few hours). Will definitely stay here again.

Me and my family stayed here last June 13-14 and extended until June 15, 2015. My sister-in-law suggested to stay here. And we had a wonderful stay here.
Though there are some minor things that could be changed, improved and tolerable in some way. These are the ff:
🔸The shower holder is kinda broken
🔸The lady in the canteen does not smile
However, there are lots of good things that I can say in which made me rate the place with Excellent. These are:
🔹The family room is big enough to accommodate more than 4 pax. There is a cable TV, and aircondition. Toiletries and towels are provided. They even provided us extra towels and soaps when we extended. There is a clothes cabinet and dresser.
🔹There is an abundance of water in the CR.
🔹The location is good. Just a walking distance to Palapala, Bongbong's, Fast Food Chains and the national road. It is near the L' Fisher Hotel
🔹The canteen offers room service with service charge. The reception area also have drinks for sale when the canteen is closed.
🔹Above all, they have the most accommodating and friendly receptionists (either in the morning, afternoon or night). They even replied to my inquiry even around 10PM. They helped us find the places and gave us suggestions. They made our stay there much more comfortable.
Thank you for the great stay Pleasant Travelers Pension House. 😊👍

Stayed for 1 night during the holiday. The room is good but needs a lot of improvement, Heater is not functioning, Slow wifi connection. Toiletries has extra cost (tissue, toothbrush & toothpaste), it should be free of charge. Staff was accommodating and helpful but don't know how to smile. I wondered they were called city of smiles:-) Smile should be a part of their uniform. Overall it was a good stay and worth the budget.

From reservations of rooms to providing customer services this hotel sucks. The hotel is understaff and will lead you either waiting forever for the services to be delivered or leave the hotel without resolving your concerns. Never book on this hotel if you have any options.

Stayed here for 1 night only. We reserved a room that is good for 3pax. The room is very clean. The room has (219), 3 single beds, cable TV, hot and cold T&B and it is air conditioned. No breakfast included, but you can order at their canteen which costs 70-80php for a Filipino breakfast. The receptionists are all friendly and courteous.
They also allow travelers to leave their baggage at the receptionist counter after they checkout if they still want to roam around the city and still have time before their flight. You can also ask them to call a taxi for you and they offer shuttle vans going to the airport which costs P150/pax.
Extension of stay in the hotel is also available. Just add P50/hour, but only up to 4:00pm.
The location is also great which is accessible going to tourist spots.
We had a very comfortable stay here and we recommend it.Thumbs up!

We were not allowed for early check in, it was understandable so ok I was fine with that. My mom in law got fuming mad because they wouldn't honor the senior citizen discount for the extra mattress and extra person for my dad in law. I understand that is was only a few peso savings but hey they should abide by the law. They gave us the discount after a tense conversation. Also, I booked in agoda which is 700 peso per night compared to booking with them directly 580 peso per night..total bummer. No breakfast included.
Good:
1.Location was about 30 meters away from Lacson ave and near Calea so that is 1 good thing about this place.
2.Free wifi albeit slooooow.
Now the not so good:
1.They didn't have shower heaters in the standard room (not sure for the other rooms) so expect to come home to freezing cold water after a whole day of touring bacolod.
2.They allow smoking inside the common areas but not in the rooms. Our rooms were just above the common areas so naturally we have all the smoke coming from below. It can also get a bit noisy in that area.
3.The toilet almost didn't work!
So this place is cheap, but I didn't connect with the place. I felt restless and unpleasant. Maybe because of the noise or the smoke. Or that front desk plays music that I don't like. I really don't know but I just didn't feel warm and nice in the place.
In the end, if only I decided to just stay at the old hotel that we previously stayed in (Am Rei) I just needed to pay another 200 pesos per night, I'd get the hot water, breakfast in the morning, no smoke, and no bad music.

I'm not quite sure I understand the nature of your question...are you asking if basically the room rates are reasonable? If that is your question, the answer is yes, the room rates are quite reasonable.
