I ended up staying here 3 nights as wanted good wifi and hot and cold water free. Well that made it a nice stay and it's not a bad location just dark streets at night so watch your back. It was clean enough except acouple of bugs I found. I'd stay again when back in Bacolod.

Me and my friends enjoyed our stay here last week, they offer a cheap room for only 800(2pax) with clean linens, towels, good aircon and heater. The place was also in good location. The caretaker was accommodating and we didn't expect that they'll give us something for breakfast, just a noodles and coffee but still we appreciate that. We'll come back here if i'll have the chance to go to Bacolod again.

We arrived around 3 am on our last day there. The gate was closed. We were confused since there shouldn’t have been a curfew. It was a good thing there was a helpful guest at the garage that opened the gate for us. If he wasnt there it would have been a long cold night outside for us. Also my girlfriend got scolded because she knocked on a door that had an entrance sign and a buzzer on it. I mean it really looked like a room for reception but it turns out it is a guest room as well. Also, that night we misplaced our key, so we hoped to ask the reception if they could open our room. We knocked on a door that had an “ENTRANCE” sign and a buzzer on it. We of course assumed that it was the reception area. Turns out, it was also a guest room and we had disturbed the resting guests there. This could’ve been avoided if we had been briefed where the actual reception area was when we checked in, and if there was a stand by reception to receive guests who arrive on wee hours since there was no curfew posted. The location would be good if you have a car. If youre commuting, jeeps dont pass by the pension house. It's around a 5-10 minute walk to the nearest jeepney stops. This can get very tiresome if it's hot outside.

We booked online and paid through paypal. At the hotel there is no one in the front desk and we even asked the security guard at the nearby restaurant on what to do. We waited for 30 mins until the old lady approached us at the front desk. We told her that we already paid the booking and provided a screen shot as proof of payment. They don't have a computer to check the booking and she asked for a printed proof of payment. We really don't know what she's asking because most of the hotels only asks for an ID. We insisted to just accept the screen shot but still looking for a printed one. She even provided a sample of the document the lady is asking. We provided a pdf format of it. One hour after she just accepted it and told us the next time provide a printed copy. Very rude old lady.. tsk tsk tsk.. yes its a cheap hotel but the attitude of that lady is cheaper!!

I called for early check in to maximize our time... and thanks for that accomodation. When I booked, breakfast is not included but they have complimentary noodles and coffee which made our day!!! I can drink coffee anytime I want! The place is nice and clean, and my money's worth for backpackers like us. Thank you manang for being accomodating. Given the chance to be back, I will stay here again.

Sir Bob made all the effort to answer our inquiries as to how to reach "Main Street Pension House" even when we arrived really early in the morning. The place is clean, quiet, and so homey that we extended our stay for another night. Ate Cora, the attendant, is very charming and shows a real interest to assist to reach our destinations to visit during our stay. I will surely go back to this wonderful homey place when we visit Bacolod again.

I usually book my friends here all the time. Manang Cora, the attendant is very friendly and gracious. She makes every effort to make you stay comfortable. I think it is an old house that they converted and renovated to a pension house. The rooms are clean, bed is well made, and the bathrooms/toilets are so clean that I could smell the bleach. I like the fact that they disinfect the bathrooms before a guest checks in. That is very important to me.

My friend and I stayed in Mainstreet during our long weekend escapade in Negros Occidental. The place is good for backpackers. The owner, Sir Bob made sure we had a comfortable stay. The rooms is spacious and clean. The CR is very spacious compare to othe pension houses and hotel. The tiles are well maintain. The hotel charges 100 pesos for every hour that a guest check in before the official check in time. Although Mainstreet is not located in the main road but it very accessible and offers a quite place to stay. Its perfect for those who wants to relax after a long travel day.
