My friends and I stayed at Tamera Plaza Inn last October 14 to 17 for the MassKara festival. We got 2 Superior Rooms with 2 single beds each, and although the rooms were quite simple, they were comfortable and clean. The beds were also very comfortable and the pillow was nice and fluffy. The only part I didn't like was that the comforters, although warm and comfy, seemed a little old. There was no strange smell, but it seemed they had not been washed that well. The towels seemed fresh though, and the bathrooms were also good --no problems with flush, heater, or faulty drainage, and the airconditioning was cold. The wifi was also quite faulty every now and then.

Each room came with free breakfasts which they served from 6am to 10am. The breakfast is not buffet style like in most hotels, but one could have a choice from two different offerings per day, so there was still variety anyway. It was also great that one could have the staff bring it up to the room free of charge. The breakfasts were okay. I was able to try the longganisa (which actually looked and tasted more like chorizo to me, but tasted good anyway) with rice and egg, and the boneless bangus with egg and rice. I preferred the latter, as the longganisa breakfast was quite smaller and the rice was not very warm when they had served it. I think maybe it was because I woke up late that time, around 10mins before 10am, but it should still have been warm anyway. Milk was not available; only coffee, juice, and/or water. I also hoped for fruits to go with the breakfast but there was none. For room service, the service is fast and the food they had in the kitchen was good. The servings, especially of the soup dishes, were quite big.

The best part at Tamera however was the staff. The people at the lobby were very helpful and they always made us feel welcome. They even assisted us in giving us directions on how to go to tourist spots using public transportation and did not harass us at all with trying to use their contacts in travelling around the city. When we had gotten stranded at a place in Bacolod where PUVs rarely passed, we called them and they assisted us in getting a ride with no extra charge. They also have good English skills, so there was no difficulty in understanding each other.

This inn is located along Lacson St., a major thoroughfare in Bavolod City. There are cabs passing along road. If you are feeling fancy, you can ask the receptionist to call a transport for you. If you are on a budget, take a walk down the road, about 50 meters and ride the jeepney.

The staff in this inn are very friendly and accommodating. The place is clean and their deluxe room is spacious. This 4-storey property has no elevator, so you will get some exercise while you are here.

Wifi is good and there is no limit to number of device connected. The food is neither excellent nor disappointing. It is fair for its price.

The price is reasonable and competitive ranging from $20-35 per night.

We stayed at this place because we had a convention-seminar at SMX. The Inn is located at the southern part of Lacson Street. Some drivers (Tri-sikad drivers, some taxi drivers) might have some trouble finding this place.

What I loved about this is that they've accommodated us ahead of our check-in time. I used an online booking site and mentioned that I will be arriving at around 8am. Please do note that their Check in time is at 2am.

We arrived 7am to put our luggage in their counter (the inn confirmed that they do accept baggage counter services), the front service staff welcomed us with open arms, smiled, (confirmed my identity) and immediately gave us the keys to our room. I was perplexed since the Check-in time was 2PM, the front officer told me that it was because I indicated that I will be arriving earlier. And with no additional charge! How great is that!

As for the dining: it was ok, there's a menu available inside the rooms

Shower: when I see a hot shower, its an immediate 5 for me. I wont expect a bathtub from an Inn.

Rooms: it was ok. Could be improved.

Wifi: Fast! but the signal cant reach the farther side of the rooms. Managed to download apps and songs and games in no time ;)

In summary:

What I liked best: Very courteous service as expected from the City of Smiles, and that we were accommodated ahead of time which saved us energy and time. Some hotels will just let you wait at the lounge, but Tamera will take care of you. I almost forgot, the Front Office staff are great and friendly; will go out of their way to help you (Was raining hard as I went out of the taxi, and a staff immediately offered me a big umbrella to shield me from the storm)

Least: The cable channel :D I had to fix the cables from inside the cabinet to stabilize the network reception. But hey, at least I get to watch my favorite History and Discovery Channel shows!

I have stayed here a number of times. This hotel is a very nice place to stay in Bacolod. The location is very good. The rooms are very clean. The wifi is good. The staff are some of the most professional, helpful and accommodating people I have ever met on my travels. Each and every one of them do a great job and serve as a fine example of how hotel employees do their jobs. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wishes to stay in Bacolod.

The hotel is located in Lacson Street, major street in Bacolod City. The price is reasonable for a budget hotel. The room was spacious, TV is LCD while toilet has free soap and shampoo. However, they dont have elevator for those who have issues on walking to the 3rd or 4th floor. The staff are friendly and the food are great. Room price includes free breakfast for 2 (plated - filipino style dishes - silog). If you have a car, parking is at the front of the hotel, might be able to accommodate 4-5 cars. Taxi is also very accessible and jeepneys as well.

To start of, this Inn is strategically located along Bacolod's Lacson street. So, it is easy to go go around the city from this place. There is nothing extraordinary about the amenities of this hotel, they have the basic beds, TV, decent comfort rooms, they have towels, soap (no shampoo and toothbrush), the aircon was working fine, they don't have complimentary water, but they have service water at the first floor. You may refill your water bottle there. I had free breakfast yadda yadda yadda yadda. BUT! this establishment merits an excellent rating because the staff were REALLY good. They were the most smiling and genuine, they were very attentive to my needs, and they were always willing to help and it seems that they are genuinely happy to do it. So that is really really really good. Other than the fact that they have affordable prices and overall it seems to me that the Inn is well-managed.

Booked the Tamera Plaza for 2 nights as a single traveller.Impressions being - friendly & helpful staff, rooms very clean, breakfast quite reasonable & affordable pricing.Great to have sky cable & good channel package. Aircon a little noisy but quite helpful as this normally drowns out any external noise.Room was very quite aiding a good night sleep.Small area for parking outside off of the main road but secure parking for motorcycles inside.Only complaint being that although rooms are non smoking the landing areas allow smoking - the smell of smoke drifting into the room.I can't see why smoking is allowed in the premises at all. All in all I would return - I enjoyed my stay.

Tamera is really the best place to stay in Bacolod...the place is quite new so its not creepy unlike the other big hotels in bacolod. the staff are really helpful and nice. the facilities are quite nice too and even the food is excellent...i don't advise you to order their food there if you are alone because the serving size is really large, like, its good for like, 3 people...however, there are a lot of places outside where you can eat so there really is no problem. i thank the staff for being so kind to me.

Sightseeing in Bacolod was our main purpose, but have to find an accommodation first.

It was a very nice discovery. My husband and I were looking for a place not so expensive at the city center for a 2-day stay in Bacolod. We were glad to have this place.

Clean, and everything was running well. there was hot and cold shower with abundant water. The restaurant was very good, the crew were very attentive. I really like this place.

Our first time in Bacolod, we had already a very good impression starting from accommodation to all others like transportation, to malls and public buildings. We toured around for our first time adventure in this very nice city. We were impressed.

After a long adventure to Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia, we decided to stay in Tamera for a night before going back to Iloilo City. The place is located near almost everywhere! It is accessible to fast food restaurants, the plaza, churches, market, hospital and etc. The hotel is comfortable and clean. Although the rooms are somewhat small, it is still nice and all accommodations come with breakfast :) will definitely stay here again when I'm in Bacolod City!
