- Booked around 8 rooms for a wedding. -Missed their check in time, made us wait 2 hours. - Ran out of eggs for breakfast (basic thing to have in any hotel inventory, couldn't even be bothered to restock despite wide availability around the area), did not even have the courtesy to give a heads up and just served the breakfast with vegetables, which nobody wanted. - Unresponsive on several instances when calling for service from the room. - Failed to inform guests that items were left for them at the front desk, despite being given instructions and having access to guest's contact details. - Poor noise isolation, parties outside and inside the venue can be heard from the rooms. Could not sleep well. Overall impression: they do not run a tight ship. Need a proper hotel manager, proprietors have minimal hospitality experience.…
Cons: - Constant partying in the rooftop with band and guests not wearing masks - If you're looking for a safe place to stay, this is not it! - Rooms are somewhat unmaintained. Unusual stains on doors and bedside table. - My room felt suffocating. No windows looking towards the outside. Pros: - Good location - Nice lobby - Nice rooftop (if it were only safe) -Servers were nice
My wife and I were happy with our room, their bar, their restaurant and their staff, We were caught by the Manila Lack down in March. Interrupting our 5 day stay at their wonderful Hotel. The staff were nice enough to allow us to let our relatives use our room and amenities for the remainer of our stay Looking forward to the end of Covid so we can return to their Hotel again and again.
this is my new goto place in bacolod. rooms are big, clean and nice. the hotel ambiance is great. they have a great roofdeck bar...walking distance to lacson street where other restuarants are. walking distance to the catholic church
New, clean rooms, but: (1) function rooms are on same floor as rooms, means it is very noisy when there is an ongoing function and rooms have poor sound insulation. This happened in both nights I stayed and front desk just acknowledged the problem but couldn’t do anything about it. (2) very few rooms with King or Queen bed. Moat rooms are single/twin beds.
We had a corporate event for valued clients last November 2019. Special mention to Ms. Janice Jaro for properly organising and executing all our requirements. Accommodations were stylish being modernly chic and homey at the same time. Rooms are spacious and clean. Customer service was superb! Everyone was very courteous, helpful and prompt. Looking forward to our next visit in Bacolod. Thank you Stonehill Suites!
Highly recommended from their beautiful interiors and room amenities to hotel services! Felt like our one night stay is not enough to appreciate the beauty of this hotel. Will definitely come back! :)
This new hotel is a hidden gem of bacolod city The Stonehill suites is unexpectedly beautiful classy hotel. It is very clean . It has high ceiling and the furnitures are superbly made made by well known designer. The bathroom are even made in marble. The bed and bedding are soft, comfortable and clean. The plus is free buffet breakfast The staff from front desk, bell boy, restaurant staff up to the cleaning persons are all respectful and helpful. You fell like a VIP
We really enjoyed our 5 day stay in this hotel! The interiors are sparkling clean and brand new! We booked very spacious suite rooms with verandas which were reasonably priced compared to the same sized rooms in Manila. We held the 29th Annual Convention of the Philippine Association of Academic Biochemists at the 3rd Floor Function Room. Thanks to the good lighting, sound system and resourceful technical support and hotel staff, the 100+ member delegates of our nationwide academic organisation enjoyed learning from the lectures and had a blast during the fellowship night! The hotel has 2 comfy and inviting lounge areas on the 3rd floor and the Skydeck Bar /Lounge on the top floor, all Instagram-worthy for selfies and group photos! WiFi signal is strong & consistent, we were even able to hold an instant live videoconference! This place is family-friendly and enforces a non-smoking policy. There are smaller bistros to explore , and it is just a stone's throw away from Lacson Street and Pala-pala Restaurant. Kudos to Mr. Jerby Suating , who patiently answered all our questions and helped us with various concerns - thanks, Jerby and the rest of the very professional staff of Stonehill Suites!…
As others have said, the hotel interiors are absolutely superb and instagram worthy wherever you look. Service staff are attentive and work with you on requests. The bathrooms are in white carrara marble style with German fixtures and even a touch controlled mirror lamp. Very nice and plush overall. Some parts, it's form over function like the interior lighted closet doors that don't stay closed so the lamp is always on at night, floor wax on the marble floor so you can't walk barefoot in the room (slippers were provided tho) and the ironing board that just rolls with the iron because of the floor wax, etc. Little niggles here and there. Where the hotel falls flat has to be in the food -- it is just not tasty enough or the quality control is lacking, and in a city full of restaurants and in a hotel this good looking, it's almost a crime. The club sandwich had thick meat but there were only two small portions and not filling enough for the price. And the kamote chips on the side were cold and rock hard -- inedible really -- and makes you wonder why they would even serve that to customers. The more expensive Osso Buco was cooked well but tasted bland -- a shame as it could have been great. The soups were so so. The buffet breakfast was simple but it was ok for me as the rice was actually a standout. Great coffee and breads but skip the orange juice (from concentrate). Breakfast was free with a stay but if I had to pay the 450 pesos for it, like if I came for a breakfast meeting, I would not have been pleased. Again, the food seems to be the hurdle for this hotel to be great. About the noise, we stayed a day after Valentines and it was peaceful at night -- no issues there. A third floor room would be better than higher floors because of the noise from the sky bar, just in case there is an event. I don't recommend this hotel in December if you are after peace and quiet because there is literally a famous Christmas circus outside. But if you have kids, that would be a treat for them. Overall, yes, we would stay here again in the off season but with managed expectations and maybe a change in dining plans. I do hope they get better so I can wholeheartedly recommend them to visiting family and friends!…
