good value for the price. Large room with a fridge. The aircon worked well and was more than large enough for the room. The check in and check out was handled professionally and very quick. I found the service to be excellent. It is just a couple of blocks away from a large mall as well. Staying on the 2nd floor the water pressure in the shower was not the best but more than adequate. This would be the only thing I could criticize in this hotel. Overall a very pleasant stay with really good value. I will look forward to staying in this hotel again on my next visit.

After my negative experience in the Palmas del Mar where I packed up and left early, we checked into the MO2 Westown Hotel with little expectations to be honest. Upon arrival I must admit that I was even less hopeful when they told me the price - 1,400 Pesos (£20.50) a night. This was a tenner each and I didn't expect much for this. Oh how I was mistaken.

Now Bacolod, for anyone considering going, doesn't have a lot going for it. In fact, unless you have a reason to visit, don't. Hope my fiance doesn't read this as this is where she calls home ................ well, actually in the mountains a couple of hours away, but this is where she spends most of her time and where her friends are. So I had reason to be here................

The location of the hotel is about as good as it gets in Bacolod - 50m from SM Mall

The hotel itself is bright and spacious with a resonable cafe/restaurant and a decent bar that opens next door in the evenings with live music while we were there.

The staff were very helpful and attentive. The food which we had sent to our room a couple of nights was good. And the room - it was spacious, clean and well-presented. It had a double and a single bed so could be even better value, if that is possible, if you had a family or were traveling in a group of 3.

This is not luxury living, but I'd say easily the equivalent of a 3 star hotel back in Ireland / UK.

I suppose the best measure of a hotel is whether you would go back - we would certainly go back here if we were needing a room in Bacolod.

The MO2 Chain are all very well thought out, clean and friendly, my wife and I and a couple of friends all had rooms that were all serviced well! I always opp for minimal cleaning for privacy and this was adheared to well but we still got the coffee and water and supplies left at the door waiting for us!

Well done great service, will recommend a stay! Oh we had three stays at the same MO2 over 3 weeks Broken with two trips to Island resorts, and they kept out large baggage safe and well for us.

When we arrived they convinced us to pay extra for a suite. When we went into the suite, nothing worked! The fountain at the entrance was broken. The cable TV was out. The wifi was out. The toilet wouldn't flush and the mini-fridge was hot and wouldn't stay running. The Jacuzzi tub smelled awful and was dirty. I doubt it would have worked if we had tried it. We went to the mall to give the repairman time to fix things. When we came back, only the toilet was fixed and the wifi had been turned back on. The cable TV and mini-fridge was out for the two days we were there. The second day we asked again about the cable and the person at the front desk lied to our face and told us that the cable was out in the whole neighborhood. We called the cable company and confirmed that this was not true. I couldn't wait to get out of there. We will never stay at a MO2 ever again!

I'm from bacolod and I know bacolod. Location is great except there is this club named 'mo2 Ice' right beside it which i know so far, that they have common owner as the hotel. Which didn't bother me, but on friday and saturday night your way back to hotel could be crowded. Surprisingly, quite. (the fact that it's right beside a club) The staff were courteous and helpful with my needs. The room was clean as well as the linens. Bathroom had much space and the water pressure was great. Wifi worked fine. Walking distance to Robinson's place which is one of the big malls in the city. and it's 2 minute walk to the main road Lacson street so you can get a cab or jeepney anytime you want. I loved this place I would go back when i go back to bacolod.

I love almost everything in this hotel except Customer Service. CS sucks BIG TIME. I'm a traveller as part of my job and most hotels give something extra for regular guest but this one ZERO...NADAH...You are treated like you are just among their walk-in guests.

So disappointed..after staying here in and out almost every week for the past month they will give you NOTHING.No discounts, No room upgrade, No Breakfast, NOTHING.

THIS HOTEL IS NOT SUITABLE FOR REGULARS ONLY WALK-IN.

P.S. Additional note..staff becomes more RUDE if you push them for a better treatment for regular guests.

Outstanding value and amenities. However the laziest staff i have encountered anywhere in the world. the desk don't know or care what's happening in the hotel so they give incorrect information. the bar is totally run to entertain the staff that work there they don't encourage business the coffee lounge staff don't clean up and don't want to serve you if you stay longer than 15 minutes. No personnel value their job despite the local poverty The owner must be losing a lot of money yet people like me booked out early due to the lack of management and rude attitude of the staff 80% of the time they are on their cell phone AVOID THIS ONE

I booked my room well ahead of time so i would've figured they could've placed me away from any noise caused internally from their remodeling. My room above me was noisy ,with tables and chairs scooting around....AT 2:00AM !!! Now ,i understand remodeling and inconsiderate guests ,but with such noise in the middle of the night one would think the staff would hear it and take care of it. Upon arrival ,i was not given a receipt since i booked with an online dot com travel company ,so there was no paper trail of me ever being there according to them. The room smelled as if it had been de-fogged for insects ,which must've worked because we saw none while there. But we had to go to SM City to get some air freshener plug-in's to counter the smell. The bed was firm ,but i prefer a matress to a park bench when wanting to catch some z's. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else ,or you'll be saying.."I shoulda listened to the American's review".
