This hotel is absolutely great except for no wifi in room the main reason I moved to another hotel. Other then that staff were really nice and welcoming. Breakfast was tasty. They would give me a pincher of water when I needed. Location right in the heart of city down a street with laundry nearby. I would reccomend if you don't need in room wifi.

Arrived about 7pm. It has a very spacious reception area. Employees are very welcoming and helpful. A male help brought my things to my room in the 2nd floor as I requested as well as during check out.Hotel has 3 floors no lift. Room very spacious with 2 small twin comfortable beds , clean sheets, and clean towels. It has a large closet, huge dresser, TV and AC works well. It has a huge window facing an empty lot on the east side. West side of hotel are apartments. Toilet is spacious but shower needs more attention. Housekeeping is very good and reliable. Wifi is free but works only in the lobby and 2nd floor lobby. Breakfast typical Filipino breakfast is good at the café is either included or not with 3 choices daily. Free fountain water a huge plus. Employees there are friendly and very helpful. All employees are willing to help. Hotel is quiet and clean. It is located about 100 meters from Lacson street. Taxis are always available passing along 13th Street. Hotel is away from malls but centrally located. They offer airport transfer to the airport but not from the airport. They will call a taxi or grab anytime you need it. I will stay in Royal Am Rei when I go back to Bacolod again. Room price is very reasonable and can book direct cheaper. I did not regret staying in this hotel.

We arrived midday and was able to check-in. Had no chance to check the room as we had to hurry for our event. When we went back in the evening, noticed that the bathroom emits a very foul smell. Asked Front Desk to check it and was told the housekeeping will come. No one came. The smell was so bad, you cannot even use the bathroom. Around 11pm, we asked again if there is another room we can transfer to but was told that they are sold out. As it was unbearable, we called again for a number of another hotel, but we were given an option to transfer room. We moved room in the middle of the night. The next room was as old but thankfully, there was no smell, but I could not find the right combination just to get the hot shower!! The tocino and longganisa during breakfast were excellent! We were advised that restaurant closes at 6pm, we went back around 4.30pm and the server has gone, only the cook is left. Could not fault staff for the shortcomings. The hotel is short-staffed and everyone seemed multi-tasking.

We stay here only for one night and after we start trip to Sipalay. Hotel is clean and simple free water in the hall, room are with aircon, bathroom is little bit old. Breakfast Ok nothing special... Place is near seven eleven few meters from bussy road, so sleep is OK. Good Value for the price for the starting point to rest of the island.

Well, we arrived last Janjary 28th in the morning since that is the only time available. With a plan to just leave our stuff since it was still 8am, when we arrived, we asked if we can just leave our stuff and come back when it is already 2pm, they just checked if the room is clean and vacant, and then they allowed us to check in as early as 8am. Room: the room was clean and it did not smell funny. Everything else is just about average. Yeah, it is nothing really awesome, but what made me rate it as high as it is, is their service and price. For overnight it was less than a thousand pesos. I expected less since it was cheap, but I got more from what we paid for.

Stayed here with 2 kids who were participants in the Karate Tournament last Panaad Festival at Bacolod City.. Royal Am Rei Hotel was quiet far from the Panaad Stadium, but we enjoyed our 3 nights stay. Our room was clean, with new bed sheets and towels everyday. Daily supply of shampoo and soap throughout our stay. The breakfast was affordable. Although internet connection was on the groundfloor only. Also, no elevator, if we have heavy luggages, we have to carry them through the stars which was quiet exhausting. But all in all, it was a very good stay. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, too..

I booked this place becaue it was cheap at Travelbook.ph. But the actual place was also cheap, although the room was spacious. I requested to be checked in early because I was planning to leave early the next day but they refused and wanted extra money for the early check in. The WiFi is available at the lobby but it won't connect to the internet.

I love the rooms. It's clean. It has hot&cold shower. The bed is big. Though the tv is not that clear, but you get more than what you paid for. We paid 3,370 for 3 nights stay. That's a deluxe room already. It's in the heart of Bacolod City, walking distance from all the establishments especially their well-known CALEA resto. Breakfast is okay, hope there's more to their serving and more choices of breakfast please. 😊 Overall stay is great! Definitely coming back soon. :)

We stayed one night at Royal Am Rei en-route to Manila arriving during a very heavy down pour. The road outside, in parts, was a few inches under water. On arrival we noted the guard just lying back on his chair and did not even acknowledge us. Bad start. We checked-in and were pleasantly surprised by the 'grand' central hallway and comfortable furnishing in the lobby. After taking our room we wanted a refreshment but was told the restaurant was closed, even though the room contained a room service menu! On questioning we were told it would be open for breakfast and that we could call in outside fast food such as a pizza. This meant walking along the part flooded road to get a coffee. We were very disappointed. The next morning at breakfast we were told that the restaurant was only closed the previous day due to staff shortages. It would have been nice to have been told the whole situation the previous evening as, if it wasn't for the rain we'd have checked-out and moved on! Then came the biggest surprise at breakfast. We had probably the best coffee so far in the Philippines. The breakfast waiter was excellent. They only provide Filipino breakfast. The longganisa (sausage) was delicious; the best. It's a pity we did not have time to have lunch or dinner there. The room was nice, clean and had a window with a view. It came with a TV and a quiet aircon. The bathroom was quite clean and had hot water. A few hundred metres back to the main road, Lacson St, was a number a good restaurants, coffee shops and shops. The hotel is a fair distance from the city centre including the Cathedral and SM Mall, if that is your liking, but only a short ride in a jeepney. Note that you can get transport to the airport from SM which maybe a factor in choosing a hotel location in Bacolod. All in all we had a mixed experience at Riyal Am Rei hotel. All of the guards seem to have had a personality by-pass. The hotel should tell the guards they are the 1st thing customers see on arrival!!!! And smiling is a thing Filipinos are good at. The receptionists were very pleasant but some need to know and communicate issues affecting the hotel. The restaurant was quite simply excellent. We would consider staying there again if we had business that far north of the city. Please note that one of us comes from Bacolod and speaks the language so poor communication was not due to us being so foreign. JandS
