I stayed in this hotel for about a week and loved every minute of it. The staff is really great. They're always so kind, always greeting you , and always so ready to help you with whatever they can. My room was great, clean, and room service always came by to fix everything up. And then there's the morning buffet. It was really one of my favorite parts of my morning. They have a complimentary breakfast buffet every morning with marvelous food and great selections. If you choose to stay in this hotel, you definitely will not regret it.

Stayed in Bacolod September this year as springboard for my solo backpacking trip to Mambucal in Murcia Negros.
Found O hotel... actually they found me at the airport searching for a decent place to stay. Never regret I have picked O Hotel. The rooms were immaculately clean.. T&B were newly tiled and clean... Got a non smoking room at third floor equipped with good air conditioning unit and a big safe which could fit my lap top.
The room is even supplied have an electric kettle with coffee mixes and bottled water...Never expected this great room for less than 900PhP per night...
Bed is so comfy I slept like a baby...

Well, what can I say. This hotel was booked by our sponsors when we went to Bacolod for a workshop. I was a bit worried when I saw the cost of the room. It was really really cheap and at that price, which included breakfast, I was expecting the worst.

I was pleasantly surprised with what the room turned out to be. It was clean, relatively roomy, had an aircon and tv. The bathroom was alright and had a shower with hot water flowing 24 hours. The beds were good to sleep in.

Now when you pay how much was paid for this room, you CANNOT complain about anything. But to be fair to the hotel, this is a very decent place to stay. In fact it made me wonder how this hotel makes profits. :)

Breakfast in the morning was a modest buffet spread. It was good. Though only one morning's breakfast was paid for by our sponsors, my colleague and I decided to have a bite on the 2nd morning to get us started. We didnt eat much, just some juice n pancakes. Though both of us ate, the hotel charged us only for one breakfast. They didn't need to as we didnt mind paying, but I thought this was very thoughtful of them.

The staff were very nice and friendly (as most of Philippines is). No trouble at check in and check out.

In summary, this was a nice hotel. The value for money is outstanding.

We stayed here for one night on our way to Sipalay. Wow! It was one of the best hotel experiences we had on our two-week trip. Here’s why:
1.) The staff are awesome, and very accommodating.
2.) The rooms are beautiful, comfortable.
3.) The food (desserts especially) is really tasty.

We tried to stay here on our way back in but it was completely booked so we’ll definitely have to book ahead next time. We definitely recommend staying here, and if you do, remember to tip everyone generously. In the hotel business all of the money goes to the people at the top while the average workers (front desk, bellmen, etc.) get paid incredibly low wages compared to the owners. If you can afford to travel to beautiful Negros Island for vacation, then you can afford to keep an extra $10-$20 a day to tip hotel staff…

It's always a risk booking in a hotel you have never been and simply relying on reviews because at the end of the day, what was bad from the last disgruntled client is tolerable on the next. I stayed here with my family for more than 2 weeks and for the price we paid each night, everything exceeded my expectations. Front desk staff are always smiling and ready to help, housekeeping is quick when you need something, I also had my laundry done in the hotel and this was one of my pleasant surprise, I just asked for a wash and fold and when it came back it was laundered, folded and the detergent used doesn't give you that sneezy feeling, you don't even have to iron it! Rooms are small but its clean, especially the bathroom. Some hotels give me a "I need to wear my flip flops when I take a shower" feeling but O hotel seem to give importance on the cleanliness of each of their rooms. Last May, when we were here, another surprise was the food and room service. Although the menu was limited back then, the food was fantastic! Delicious and reasonably priced. I could have given this hotel an over all rating of 5 but when I came back in June, I noticed they changed menu's and probably changed chef's. The food is different, I ordered my usual favorites and discovered that it doesn't taste nor plated the same way as last time but nevertheless, I am loyal to this place.
A shabby chic hotel, when you pay less than 2,000 pesos a night for a room, don't expect a 4 seasons amenities and when you have to wait for a room because you checked in early, don't get mad, it happened to me too. Checking in and out of their guests are beyond the staff's control, so if there is no ready room for you when you get there, hang out in their coffee shop and enjoy a cup of coffee.
To O hotel staff, please bring your chef back if you replaced him :)

The hotel was clean and central. Plenty of free parking at the back of the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Struggled with our Australian humour or perhaps our jokes were bad but they still manage to raise a polite smile. Breakfast was good to very good. Excellent value for money. Perhaps a bit noisy at night as it is on a main street if you wanted to be picky however we had nothing to complain about, especially for the value.

I am from Sydney, Australia and went back to Bacolod to visit family and friends for a holiday. As my brother decided to get hitched during my short visit, I decided to shoulder the hotel and booked his wedding reception at O Hotel! Staff were very attentive and was able to attend to my requests considering I booked both the function 3 days before the event.
They were able to deliver great results! Food was beyond amazing! it was delicious and the crepe station was to die for!
I also booked 2 rooms for my family with the promo rate. The room was nice, decor was modern, it has everything we needed, comfy beds, clean linens and clean rooms.

All in all I had an amazing experience in this place and would not think twice about coming back! Kudos to the management and the staff!

We stayed at O Hotel from Jan 30, 2015 to February 8, 2015. It was so homely and my team composed of 55 of us had all the same feeling and appreciation of the management and staff who were flexible, adaptable, very attentive and with so caring and loving behaviour and attitude towards everyone else, like we are family. They helped us tremendously in making our mission trip so smooth and successful. Their food was awesome, the housekeeping has initiative and the reception staff were all so friendly, patient, efficient and effective, too. They are well informed and so helpful with my other team members and always has a ready directory list for each one where to go, what to do, etc. The unexpected small stuff and ever ready assistance is there, even before you ask. Of course there is also room for improvement but that was already been discussed to them face to face, which they gladly accepted. Just pity things which others may not be contented or not on their standard. But no matter how small or big it was, they significantly contributed to the success of our Surgical Mission Operation Taghoy 2015 an overwhelming success! Keep it up and keep better each time guys. Cheers and super THUMBS UP to you all!

How this place ever got a good review is beyond me. It was seriously in need of a renovation and in a loud part of town. Would not recommend it to anyone. Toilet was plugged but they were quick to fix it so can not complain about that.

Hotel is 5 blocks away from SM. You can take a taxi which is never a problem to get. You can just ask anyone who works there and they are happy to help you. It is exactly 57 pesos which is less than a dollar and 50 cents.
Answer from Jenelyn R
Cebu City, Philippines106 contributions13 helpful votes
It's about 30 minutes away from the airport. Metered taxi fare should be about Php 300-400. Most of the taxi cabs outside the airport though are not metered. They would usually ask for a fixed price of Php 500.
