I was staying here and I thought it was all well, after a week at O'Hotel on January 25 2017 we where told that we had to leave that they had rented our room. We had planned to stay till January 31 2017. We have our wedding day booked for January 30 and we would leave on the 31. But our stay was cut sort after we where informed that our room had been rented out and they had no more room for us. I would not recommend this hotel to any one.

I am living in Bacolod for a few months for business and I tried several hotels in town. I wonder how this 3-star hotel (and 3 is generous!) can be considered as the best in town. Bacolod has many other places that are much better than this. The hotel is very sad, no open space like a pool or a garden and rooms reflect this tendency: if you suffer from claustrophobia this is not the place to go. Old and creepy rooms like an average American motel in the middle of nowhere. The staff is always smiling but this is not a good point since they smile because they don't understand you or they are just joking you. Flexibility is an unknown word for them since they cannot add a bed or make a change of room during your stay and of course they cannot make any changes to the standard price (even if you ask them to rent a room for 5 months!). They try to take advantage of you only for being a foreigner (in US or Europe we could call it racism!!!). The price can vary a lot for this reason and as a foreigner you are tagged as rich and available to spend more than locals (this is evident when they start laughting of you in their language). Breakfast is not good at all although they try to sell it as one of their strenghts. If you ask to talk to a manager you will get yourself into a infinite spyral: no one is responsible! I met many "managers" who told me they would refer to THE manager, but I never understood if and who was the real boss there. Finally, the area is not the best, since downtown is the most trafficated, noisy and crowdy area in the city and there are many better places in uptown and santa clara. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody, expecially if you are a foreigner coming to Bacolod!!!

Arrived at Bacolod Airport, spotted your ad, phoned, was told yes you had a room for 10 nights. Got a taxi to your hotel, wonderful new reception area, i thought this will be nice. Only to be told there were NO rooms, and yes we could help you with finding a room in town, please wait. Then came over to say there is 1 room, but its a smoking room, to which i said ok lets look. Well it did smell but i was prepared to live with this for 5 days and move 5 days later to another room.
But the shocker came when we went to bed, only to find the mattress was NOT A MATTRESS BUT FOAM. Angrily we went to sleep to be woken by renovations.
Went downstairs to a cold breakfast, and told reception we are moving out and would like our refund, to which this was done, but there were also no apologies either.
SO OLD
Would never stay there again.

I booked the O hotel based on Trip advisor reviews. This is a budget hotel. stayed in the executive suite. Very disappointed with the room. The room and Bathroom are small for an Executive suite. Shower had mould growing around the edges of the shower tray, and the shower curtain smelled really bad.
the free wi fi has poor signal strength when inside the room . I would have to go to the room door or out into the hall way to get full signal strength which was really annoying.
I had a room to the back of the hotel, and every night without fail from about 12.30 am to 10 am there was a rooster Cock-A-Doodle-Doo all night!!!!!

Now the positive: Restaurant is large and spacious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. the hotel provided parking for guests and has good security.

I stayed at this Hotel for 29 Days, this hotel has good service and friendly staff, but there is a few problems staying this hotel, very noisy and the bathroom is not real clean, you would assume that each day they cleaned your room, that they would replaced the floor and hand towels, but they did not, you have to tell them to do this each day.

On the last two nights, they said I cannot stay in this room, because they have special guesses coming, and they need the whole floor vacant, they transfered me to another room on the second Floor, it was not up to standard, crack tile floor, Fridge not working, not floor towel, smelly room, same room charge,

It seem that if you stay for a long period in this Hotel, they really do not respect you.

I do not think I will be staying at this Hotel again.

Stayed at O hotel July 17-20, 2013. rooms are clean, wifi is really good, staff are very welcoming and friendly. I have all high praises to the staff esp Lyndon, who assured me that I will have a room upon my arrival and yes, my room was ready. Only thing the front desk clerk needs to improve is their billing system. prior to my check out the following day, I asked the clerk if everything is ok in my bill and he said yes and there is a reinbursment of 180p and when i checked out the nxt day i asked again and the clerk said the same. my nephew was left in the room to get all my stuff and i paid extra for the bed and for him. but when my nephew was abt to go, he was asked to pay 280p. this is so embarrasing, what if my nephew had no money at that time? he was only 16 yrs old. good thing i gave him all my remaining peso left in my purse. so disappointed in your billing system. it happened to my friend before and it happened to me again. I emailed them of my concern but no reply .not worth of my second visit, will go to circle inn next time

I think the previous review ( Ada) might have the hotel confused with another. The O hotel does not have an elevator but a lift to the top 3 floors. As far as I know the hotel has never had a pool.
I have stayed at the O hotel on numerous occasions. On my last visit I stayed for three months I could not fault the overall service and cleanliness of the hotel including the restaurant. The rooms were serviced daily, all of the staff were courteous and friendly. This is a well run hotel with very well trained staff. They offer very reasonable rates, including a very good restaurant with a very diverse menu.
Just a five to ten minute stroll to the center of town and SM mall. Robinsons mall is a short taxi ride away. I would without doubt stay at the O hotel Bacolod again.

I can't believe that I'm writing this review at 3:30am. No... it's not due to jet lag but the booming base sound system from a function on the 1st floor (we're on the 4th) is shaking the walls and denying us sleep.

I was actually told by the front desk (after my second complaint) that they were unable to get the DJ to turn down the music and the manager would give us a refund in the morning. Obviously, the event functions here "trump" the needs of hotel guests.

We had upgraded to a suite room as we were told that it was on the "quite side" of the building. For over p4,000/nite I expected a much better experience than this. The food downstairs was pretty good and the staff seem nice however the management is AWOL and not interested in shutting down the party. Without the unacceptable noise, I would have rated this hotel about a 3.5 which is VERY hard to find in the Philippines.

Although I tend to like the Filipino people, I've learned over the years that, for the most part, customer service takes a back seat here whether or not you're in a hotel or restaurant. It's unlikely to have a good experience unless you are in an establishment operated by foreigners.

Hotel is 5 blocks away from SM. You can take a taxi which is never a problem to get. You can just ask anyone who works there and they are happy to help you. It is exactly 57 pesos which is less than a dollar and 50 cents.
Answer from Jenelyn R
Cebu City, Philippines106 contributions13 helpful votes
It's about 30 minutes away from the airport. Metered taxi fare should be about Php 300-400. Most of the taxi cabs outside the airport though are not metered. They would usually ask for a fixed price of Php 500.
