The cottages are located down a lane about 150m from the main road so should be quiet but is surrounded by numerous houses and all appear to have a cockerel who love to talk to each other at about 5 a.m. each day. The cottages are quite dated and the one next to ours was being renovated when we were there and the owner said he intended to go through them all in time. There is a good on site restaurant with good food at a reasonable price which is just as well because the small town is difficult to walk around with little or no pavement and very few eateries nearby. The German owner was very friendly and offered good advise on a number of subjects and we wish him well in his business.

Delightful quiet very green locale. It's a delight to wake up to birdsong in the Phillipines where usually mornings belong to crowing roosters.
Lapu lapu cottages are situated at the end of a cult de sac and is well treed and charmingly green, an oasis in the concrete jungle. Rooms are cosy and spacious, everything is spotless and the restaurant serves excellent food at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend the place to any discerning traveller.

This place is a little paradise in busy Cebu. A lovely place to relax after a long flight or when you have a stop over in Cebu, before an early flight. We found the facilities excellent. The pool and tropical gardens were a welcome retreat from the busy city. It’s close to the Airport and you can walk to local mall for ATM or any shopping you need. The staff were wonderful and the food in the restaurant was good. They have everything you need and can even arrange moped hire if you wish to go exploring. Nice comfortable cottages with good WiFi. It’s a great find and we will definitely be back there anytime we are passing through Cebu. Great Value for money and very reasonable prices for food and drinks.

Love the excellent service from staff and they were helplful and friendly. They had a beautiful Zen like garden, clean swimming pool and Wi-Fi was very good. It felt safe inside the resort grounds.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean but it certainly could use an upgrade. The beds were hard, had thin sheets and had an old TV with 1 channel. It did not feel safe outside the resort. You drive through a sketchy area and into a narrow street and very sketchy area. This place was not for our family and could not recommend this place.

This is a great place, friendly helpful staff, always willing to help. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The quiet location is a bonus as is the secure design. The pool is exquisite and wonderful after a day exploring. Highly recommended.

Very nice and cheap accommodation in Lapu Lapu. Nice bungalows, but it is the pool that makes me come back every time I'm in Lapu Lapu.
Sometime I rest all day by the pool. There is good wifi. Very beautiful and clean pool. Nice place to relax with a friend.

We've been travelling now for 4 and a half months now and Lapu Lapu makes it into our top 3 places we've stayed so far, no question about it!
Walter (owner), family and staff couldn't have made you feel any more welcome. They were all friendly, always smiling and willing to help.
Couple of hundred meters away from the main road meant there was no noise what so ever and calling it an oasis is what it is, so green, peaceful and relaxing. The pool is cleaned every day and is a great size and a huge plus when you need to cool down from the hot climate.
Rooms = great. Double bed with fridge, A/C and cable TV. Bathroom large with good strength shower and good temp.
Food at the restaurant was well priced and tasted great, we had breakfast, lunch & dinner, no complaints quality was spot on. Wifi is strong, making things easy to book for our onwards journey.
Little bonus as you stay their are his little gardeners, who hop around eating all the fallen leaves and chill out next to your cottage.
Massive thank you to everyone @ Lapu Lapu for making it a fantastic stay.

Went to this place to inquire about renting a cottage for my Daughter and i while my husband is in Canada. The matured filipina at the front desk was condescending unfriendly bordering on rudeness. She keeps saying "Our place is expensive. The price is quite high". And could not be bothered to show me around the place. Seems she does not want filipino clientelle and assumes their poverty. The place is quite a ways off the main road. No transportation was available down that street. It does not look like a safe area but i did see european men walking there. While the pool and the grounds looked nice in the pictures online, when i was there the place looked cluttered, messy, unkept. Patches of grass and soil. It is not visually appealing. Looks like not well cared for. Keiner Hills condotel is cleaner, friendlier with nice pool and european restaurant. close to the airport and have a kithchen.
