Not impressed. Paid more than any other hotel as I wanted to end my time in PP stress free to the ending of my trip. Logistics were difficult during my visit in this country. Way overpriced for the quality. Service with a smile but really lip-service. Cable was not working, jacuzzi was broken, phone did not work. That made room service out of the question. The pool doesn’t seem like it has been cleaned and weeks with the grime on the tiling. Every time I brought up an issue, the staff was apologetic, but nothing was done to improve the situation. You have to carry cash everywhere because you can’t bill things to your room. This is supposed to be a luxury hotel. I spent way too much money here as you are trapped with nothing close by. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere and save a good chunk of money. This hotel should be a third of the price, considering how many amenities were not functioning. The rooms are a nice size, but I don’t really like we care for wicker used as indoor furniture. All the furnishings in the hotel feel worn and dated.…
You literally see the hotel the moment you get out of the airport terminal. Cross the not so busy road with your luggage in tow. No hassle reaching the reception in a 3 min zipp walk. This is a old style Grandish hotel of the 70’s and need some updating here and there. I love the swimming pool area but hates the service there, normally takes at least half an hour for anything you order. As the resto is few floors up and there is no pool bar. I guess the hotel management focuses all their energies to the real money making part of this business??… the casino attached to the hotel. All can be better and has the potential to be a real TOP HOTEL of Cebu with a bit of TLC. One thing I happy about is they have also accorded the right price for the services they now offer without overcharging like some “old grannies”hotels in Cebu and Manila . The rooms are huge btw.…
Our visit was totally overshadowed by our leaving experience. As we left the male receptionist ran after us and accused us of stealing a hand towel. We are two retired teachers backpacking in the Philippines and could not believe our ears. After a while another receptionist said it’s not stolen it is dirty! The flannel had make up on it and we had left it in the sink. We were totally humiliated in front of other guests in the hotel. Very disappointing as up to that point the review would have been very different.
On first sight I was saying wow. The reception area looked amazing. A lovely reception area with a stunning Christmas tree. However things turned south straight afterwards. First of all the lift does not work. Therefore the hall porters and ourselves had to bring our bags and cases up to the fifth floor. If this was in Europe, the hotel would be closed down! The beds were fine but small things let down this hotel. Firstly, the shower did not work and we had to get engineers at 10pm. Secondly, the TV did not work. Thirdly I had to keep my finger on the button when getting a cup of coffee. Crazy. On the first evening, we had to eat in the casino as the restaurant could not accommodate us though it was no way full. The food in the casino can only be described as overprised rubbish. €26 for nothing much including over €5 for a can of 330ml beer!!!! Breakfast was nothing to write about. There was not much of a selection for people from the West. There was an area between the reception and the casino which looked lovely but on closer inspection had a number of empty spaces with only 2 businesses open. It sort of summed up the hotel. One of the positive aspects of this hotel was the swimming pool but again the circumstances were weird. I was the only one swimming and there were plenty of staff looking at me as they had nothing to do. It seemed there were more staff then customers! There was a drinks bar but no customers!!! The staff did their best in the circumstances but it is impossible. We needed to stay 3 nights but I certainly would not stay there again…
I am writing this review while I am still staying here. This use to be a good hotel before but it is a great disappointment now. I have book the hotel knowing that the elevator is not working (claim to renovate to serve us better, however to my knowledge, its has been more that 6 months). They have put me to a room in 3th floor in which I am ok to that. When I check into my room, I realized that the phone is not working, so I have to walk down to front desk to inform them, but nothing was done after several hours. So I went down again to remind the front desk, after 30min, 2 maintenance guys came and checked. After checking, they told us they will check the system and come back. I waited till late but no one came back. I have walked down to front desk again as I need to ask for iron n iron board. I reminded them about the phone and was told they will get it fixed the next day. Next morning, I reminded them again about the phone before I go to work. When I came back, nothing was done. I still keep my cool and went to the front desk to remind them again, the staff is speechless and couldn’t give me any good reason why nothing has been done. Remind them again to get it fix. After my gym n dinner back nothing has been done!!!! Another thing, when I went to the Gym, 1 treadmill machine is not working, so I use the other treadmill machine, 5 min into my run the machine stop, so I restart and run, and again 4-5 min stop again, and this has been happening 2-3 times more, I give up! I have never written such a long review on a hotel of bad facilities n bad services. I am quite sure I will never come back again and will share my experience with my company.…
We were extended stay guests who ended our stay early. Among other problems, it is the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed at anywhere in the world, and you can find more comfort at a better rate elsewhere.
My wife and I have stayed at Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino 5 times and can think of no better Hotel to stay at when we travel to Cebu. The entire staff is awesome, and they go out of their way to make you feel at home, When were last their in March, they were not able to do Buffets, which they have restarted. From our previous stays with the Buffets, we can assure you they are a great value for the cost of each of them. Furthermore, the food is fantastic. We look forward to staying there again in the future. Keep up the good work. I North Carolina, USA
A very nice place. Walking distance from airport but they still have a shuttle. Food is very expensive. Elevators don't work but I was only on the 2nd floor. Amazingly quiet for being so close to airport.
From the moment we walked in the entrance if Waterfront Airport Hotel& Casino. we were thoroughly impressed. The interior decor was outdated yet warm and inviting and the personnel we encountered were all very pleasant and accommodating. The room was crisp and comfortable and wow, what a pleasant view at their poolside! We were surprised by it! The food was ok, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the staff and How accommodating their are in our needs Overall, what a wonderful stay and a Great Price.Special thanks to you for making all the arrangements for us. We thoroughly enjoyed it and appreciate all the work the hotel put into our visit. We would definitely recommend the Waterfront Airport Hotel as a great place to come to relax before your Flight. We are here right now doing our mandatory quarantine due to Covid-19 Protocol Thank goodness we are fully vaccinated and only gonna be here for 5 nights and maybe the most is 6 days. Positive note: Staff friendly Spacious Room NOT GOOD : Room smells so old! Dusty! furniture are breaking apart and to the point my husband fell down and my husband is only 5'8 tall and 140 lbs skinny man. The next day I fell down again on the old chair and I am only 4'7 tiny typical pinay size. We are paying Almost 5k per night! Waterfront is not a budget friendly hotel and known to be a nice hotel way back. But I am disappointment to be here. FOOD taste like a hospital food! requested breakfast and waited for 3 hours and to our dismay, it was a cold tasteless breakfast! it was bacon, eggs and hash brown doesn't taste good when it is cold at all! staff apologized after I complained later that day. NOT RECOMMEND YOU TO STAY HERE! YOU BETER just go to SOGO HOTEL Pays 600 pesos a night than paying thousands of pesos with a smelly, dusty, old waterfront hotel! wake up Waterfront MANAGEMENT!…
