Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort is frequently commended for its cleanliness, with guests highlighting the well-kept rooms and pristine pool and beach areas. The vibrant atmosphere, complete with music and special touches for events, is a hit, though it can sometimes lead to noise. While the array of amenities, including multiple pools and diverse dining options, receives positive mentions, there's a call for enhancements.
The service, described as friendly and professional, has seen occasional lapses. Room comfort is acknowledged, yet noise and construction can be a drawback. Despite some deeming it overpriced, others find the resort's offerings satisfactory.

Detailed Reviews
The service is on utmost level In which the staffs are very accommodating. Hoping for our next book on maribago blue water again. The rooms are tidy and presentable when opening it the first time. Social distancing and other proper guidelines for covid 19 such as social distancing, wearing face mask, and disinfecting the rooms and facilities are well executed. Buffets, and ala carte' menus are beyond expectations which they really patronize the Philippine cuisines and introducing it to their guests. All in all I can say that Maribago Blue Water is a place to be if you are looking for great place to stay in here in Cebu City.

Booked this hotel as the last leg of our Philippine trip for a few days of relaxation. We arrived late morning before check in time and were told the room wasn't ready, which was fine apart from the resort being nowhere near full and would happily of paid an early check in fee. Were told we could check in immediately if we paid to upgrade to a beach front room which we didn't want. We booked an Amuma Suite which we thought would be peaceful being in the spa area, but the first night there were still young children running around outside at 11.00pm. Buffet breakfast was very good but found the other food very expensive compared to were we had stayed previous and if you did not want the themed buffet in the evenings choice was very limited. Something we couldn't understand was how a can of San Miguel light was 232 peso in the restaurants and bar but only 60 peso in the mini bar in the room, which was the average price we were paying elsewhere. For our last day we decided on a day of relaxation on the beach to recharge our batteries before heading back to the UK. This however was not to be the case there was a team building event happening in the resort with a lot of shouting, screaming and loud thumping music being tested all afternoon. No thought for the holiday makers, a note under the door to inform people would have been a nice gesture. Maybe a good hotel for corporate events but not a for a few days of relaxation

Stayed only one night but loved it here.
The room was huge and the attached partially outdoor bathroom is the most beautiful stylish bathroom I've ever used. Huge bath tub and outdoor rainfall shower with a pebble floor.
Food and entertainment at restaurant was excellent. The staff were really friendly. It even has its own beach and island.
They made excellent gluten free lunch and dinner for me and took my allergies seriously. At breakfast, they even sourced me some home made gluten free bread. The best bread I've had in years!

I had so much high expectation since the price was so high. We booked the bungalow cos we were a family of four. First is the good part which is the room and the breakfast. Room was very unique, quite big and seeing the sea and walking directly to the sand when you go out of the room was a luxury. Breakfast was varied and also highlight Pinoy food which is good since they have a lot of international guests. But the space is small, so when fully booked you need to wait for a table during breakfast.
Now the not so nice part. The area itself is outdated and gives a rundown impression. The main pool is always filled with day guests which makes the experience not nice (this resort is just near the main road). Would be nice to give a heads up to your guests, that there are day guests and for a much better pool privacy we can choose the other pools. The beach area is not suitable for swimming; the size is equivalent to a swimming pool. And there was a show during the evening, unfortunately we were not informed maybe cos we didn’t avail of the dinner buffet? But it was in the open area so I think all guests should have the decision to watch it but alas we only saw the last part since we needed to go out.
Since I heard so much nice things about the hotel and with the exorbitant price, I expected a lot more. Definitely only a one time experience here.

Customer service was great but beware of hidden and extra cost. My 14 yr old son is considered an adult so I had to pay extra for 2 nights even though we had 2 rooms with 2 full size beds and had 4 adults and 2 children in our party.
The beach did not look like the one the the pictures so we used the pool for the majority of our stay

Celebrate??? Most unwelcoming resort I've been to on Mactan Island.
Went to have lunch but it was like entering a place where you're not wanted.
After first being told we could park on the grounds we were then told we had to park across the street off the resort.
After parking, we asked where to find the restaurant. We were directed to a "registration" area with a line/crowd of people. Remember, all we wanted was to have lunch at a restaurant that was new to us.
I asked to speak with a manager because at this point I felt the resort really wasn't interested in having locals, or anyone else for that matter, simply come to eat at their restaurant.
We were escorted to the restaurant where we were promptly met by Dennis. He apologized for the hassle we experienced, the unwelcoming atmosphere, and explained the 'day use' registration area and process. None of which mattered to me as I explained all we wanted was to have lunch. He added that the DEPOSIT is also collected at registration. Deposit? What deposit I asked. A deposit for what? To eat in the restaurant.
I told Sir Dennis that I've lived a considerable number of years, and have never ever been asked for a 'deposit' before dining at a restaurant. Never!
We live on Mactan Island and have eaten at restaurants on other resorts and we're always made to feel welcome without any such nonsense as making a deposit for the 'privilege' of eating in the resort's restaurant.
Sir Dennis did clarify that the deposit would of course be deducted from the check. That's to be expected I replied, but paying it in the first place is not.
We thanked Sir Dennis for listening and asked him to inform management of our displeasure with their policy and would not be eating there, and would share the experience on social media.
We have dined in restaurants at Plantation Bay and Tambuli, two resort's on par if not much nicer than Maribago Blue Water, and were made to feel welcomed guests WITHOUT DEPOSIT! We've also eaten at the restaurants in Solea, Costabella, and White Sands to name a few more. ALL very pleasant experiences.
We'll never know whether the restaurant at Maribago Blue Water resort is any good or not because it's rather insulting to be asked for a deposit and we'll not pay it.
Too many nice, friendly, welcoming resort's with restaurants to ever bother with the place.
This experience will be shared on Trip Advisor to spare others this experience.

Pretty good place. We stayed a night. Reception was friendly, stored our luggage when arrived early and told us when the room was available after finished cleaning. They drove to our room which is at the far end of the resort place. The swimming pools were great, one was shaded which was a blessing under the scorching sun of the Phillipines. The beach was nicely salted and fenced off from the sea wilderness, at shallow depth which allows kids playing. The room was nicely air conditioned and bathroom was huge for a luxurious bath and shower. There's no tv which was a let down but the main disappointment was the restaurant which was way overpriced even in hotels standards. Prepare to sell a kidney or 2 for lunch and dinner. Breakfast buffet was free for our bookings and half price of 400 peso for kids which are pretty delicious.

Positives:
Staff were very friendly throughout our stay in the resort.
The amenities were very clean, the gym and pool were well looked after.
The oyster bar was a lovely place to sit in the evenings and the happy hour was good value.
Laundry was done quickly
Negatives
After a eating at the buffet on the second evening I had a very upset stomach. The seafood was cold and god knows how long it had been left out. Also only provided with one toilet roll which became an issue.
On our 3rd day we came across 3 cockroaches in our bathroom
There was a power cut for about 10 mins on the final morning
The beach wasn't very attractive, very dark water and not the nicest sand/seating area
Couldn't walk to the bar without getting harrasdd by men wanting to sell us day trips
After 2 nights we were more than ready to move on to our next resort. Its a shame because it has potential but the finishing touches need to be better.

As a MICE agency, we can highly recommend the Bluewater Panglao. Support from Domiku Ugarte and the rest of the amiable staff, as well as the meeting rooms and the catering on-site, convinced us very much. The delegates very well received an extensive and delicious buffet. The very private beach is an absolute delight for clients. We had booked the bungalows, and some very luxurious suites, and all of them experienced a very superior standard. The resort met all of our needs. We will always use these locations for our incentive and meeting customers.

I have not seen such facility in the swimming pool itself.
There are several restaurants, fast-food and other culinary (Asian) delights nearby. We hired a van to take us around the island and had one of our meals at Lantaw Floating restaurant in Cordova.
Yes, located in the armoire in the bathroom if I remember it correctly.
SUP rental is P 1000 per 1 hour or P 500 for 30 minutes
