ā Access You can access the hotel by taxi from Cebu Airport. There is no free shuttle bus from the hotel. I used a white taxi at the airport taxi pool. I asked the driver how much it would cost and he said about 350 pesos, so I gave him 400 pesos including a tip when I got in and went to the hotel. The white taxi on the way back was 550 pesos (100 pesos for the car rental). The roads on the peninsula are two-lane roads, and the roads near the airport are four-lane roads, but although they are paved with asphalt, they are bumpy. ā Location It is located deep inside the peninsula, so it takes about 30 minutes by taxi from the airport. The coastal road near the airport is not that bad, but from there onwards, shacks continue on both sides. There were many cows and goats grazing, chickens running loose on the roadside, and dogs not on leashes. I thought it would be absolutely scary to get off the train along the way. Resort hotels have been developed in the area, so the shacks suddenly turn into hotels, and then quickly turn into shacks. Some hotels are open to the public, so if you are concerned, we recommend that you check in advance. ā Security There is a checkpoint to enter the hotel grounds, and the guest directly asked me the purpose of my visit. It seemed that there were no guards with rifles. A sturdy gate opens, and after about 30 seconds of running, I arrived at the hotel entrance. There were no guards inside the hotel, at the pool, or on the beach. Security is ensured, and it seems that even children can stay there safely. ā Accommodation plans and onedaySPA In addition to regular accommodation, there is a onedaySPA set plan. The cost is 6,000 pesos including tax (2,500 pesos for beach and pool use including towels, 1,500 pesos for meal tickets, 2,000 pesos for 1 hour of SPA, etc.), and you pay in advance by card or cash at the SPA check-in counter. ā Hygiene management Since it was built recently, the facilities are new and very clean. The pool is arranged in a three-tiered field shape. The water is so clear that you wonder if it has been changed recently, and there are no fallen leaves floating in it. The beach is made of white sand, and there is no plastic bags, plastic bottles, or other trash, so you can play barefoot. There are some areas along the Seto Inland Sea where revetment blocks have been installed to prevent the white sand from escaping, but most of the beach is an extension of the sand and you can swim there. It is separated from the open ocean by a double net, so you can swim safely. There was no seaweed, driftwood, or other marine debris, so it was hygienic.
ā Hospitality The staff at the hotel entrance, the staff who accompanied us to the SPA check-in counter, the SPA staff, and the staff at Restaurant 5Cien were all very hospitable and very pleasant. In addition, the employees and pool lifeguards who passed by greeted us as we passed by, and I felt that they were well-trained. They made active suggestions without making us feel uncomfortable, so it was a comfortable stay.

I had amazing experience since arriving at the hotel, the hotel is well maintained and up to date even though they opened since 21 or 2022 , the rooms are very clean and large with modern styling.
the hotelās food has a combination between american - asian and philippines food.
The hotel is very family friendly. we visited the spa as well and had amazing massage. also , if you are from the Gcc countries , they have a bidet within the room bathrooms which you canāt find everywhere around the philippines. however i wished they added it as well to the restrooms around the swimming pools.
they provide snorkeling gears and kayak at the hotel beach, which is a private beach. where you can explore some of the amazing corals and fish.
the breakfast buffet has a very large variety of food which you canāt miss.
however if you are planning to visit the whale shark or swim with the turtle , it takes a full day trip by car - staring early morning which is recommend to plan from the concierge. 3-5 hours by car to reach your location based on your needed activity
all the staff are vey friendly and if you plan to visit the hotel i recommend to have a sea view room , to watch the amazing sunrise š¤

What stands out about this place? The people. You are greeted and acknowledged with genuine kindness and grace. The room - fabulous view, beautifully presented on a daily basis. The amenities - solid. You can do a little or a lot. Activities on offer; a good clean gym, games room, daily scheduled activities, a spectacular spa with individuals who know exactly what they are doing. One of the best massages Iāve ever had. The food - PHENOMENAL! ! The chef and his team in each restaurant, all of which are spectacular take pride in what they do to produce dishes that are simply outstanding. I would have to say that breakfast buffet is the best of ever had. The service - that is what makes this place stand out in a big way. Itās the people who make this hotel exceptional. Everywhere you turn there is a genuine greeting and smile. They pay attention to the little things; leaving small treats when turning over your room in the evenings; giving you a shawl if you are seen to be chilly, remembering the coffee you have in the morning. This level of service is rare. They have left a lasting impression on me that the Phillipines as a whole is a wonderful country with beautiful people.

Sheraton Cebu Mactan is worth the long journey for some serious R & R. The team at Sheraton Spa are exceptional; the therapists ( Angelique and Rachel) all have healing touch to ease muscle aches and pain, packages are 50% less than what you would pay in America. Staff at Cien Restaurant serve the best breakfast buffet in Mactan, Cebu; Housekeeping services are world class ( thanks to Bryll Mahusay) and Concierge team was quick to respond for any travel tours, airport transfer needs. The Cebuanos are truly the jewels of the Southern Philippines, always a heartwarming smile as if welcoming you home. A place you will look forward to come back to again and again.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay this hotel. The service upon check in was very good and the concierge helped us arrange tours. Albeit more expensive than the other Philippines Island, the concierge was able to schedule a trip for us to visit Oslob to swim with the whales and canyoneering.
One thing I didn't know before booking this hotel was that most of the popular attractions are about 4 hours away. The trip to see the whale sharks departed at 4am. The concierge advised they can prepare a boxed breakfast which we can eat in the car. He took our order and we were excited of our tour.
Lo and behold, we showed up at the lobby and guess what? Our breakfast wasn't ready. The concierge called and they said they were running 15-20 minutes behind. Meanwhile, this was causing a delay in our tour. the breakfast finally came at 4:20am so we immediately ran to the tour van. They said they cannot provide coffee since it can spill in the car.
In any event, we ended up opening the breakfast in the car and guess what? It wasn't we ordered. They only gave us two boxes of bread and a box of mangos. On top of that, the coffee maker in our room didn't work which caused me have a headache all day. Here we were, sitting in the car for four hours, about to begin an all-day excursion with NO FOOD. The tour company says the hotel always forgets the breakfast which really upset us. Luckily, they were able to stop at McDonalds for us to get breakfast, but that further delayed our trip.
Otherwise, the hotel is nice. The buffet breakfast and dinner are superb and the staff is very friendly. The pool is wonderful. The beach is a little beat up and I think an artificial beach with tons of rocks so be sure to wear water shoes.
We had a good experience overall, but not having our breakfast ready really put a damper on things and our experience. They didn't comp us anything, or give us a discount. That would have been a nice gesture.

This spanking new beach hotel (January 2024 visit) provides an oasis on Macan Island with American convenience, spacious rooms, on-site restos and activities, and Philippine warmth at a upper tier (but not crazy) price level. Most of the rooms appear to be sea view, and the pebble beach shack supplied a copious amount of water equipment (including surf boots) for rental. Concierge staff was extremely professional and efficient in arranging cars, boats and golf outside the property. Restaurant quality slightly uneven and cocktails took forever, but this could be growing pains, and did not apply at all to the breakfast included with our āsuite rateā (for what was huge room, but not a suite), which was the most sumptuous, tasty, and diverse cuisine I have ever enjoyed. And the staff was so friendly and loving, that I felt like I was with family.

I enjoyed the buffet on 28/1/2025. The buffet was delicious, and the waiter, Mr. Kirk, was the most impressive staff member. He was very active; when my hands were dirty after eating seafood, he provided me with lime water for cleaning. When I picked up food to take to my table, he helped me by delivering the food to my table.
Furthermore, he is a very humble, talkative, and friendly staff member. I felt like I was having fine dining here.
This was the most luxurious service I have ever experienced at a buffet restaurant. Thank you so much, Mr. Kirk.

If you are choosing this hotel in order to have a relaxing, worry free stay, and you have no desire to leave the resort for any reason, this is the place for you. Staff is excellent from check-in to restaurants to lounging at the pool, you will always find someone who is more than happy to assist or answer any questions you may have. The resort is beautifulā¦from the front. But if you look out the back you will see some construction areas, which can be an eye sore but not a deal breaker but if this is something that would affect your stay please keep it in mind.
The beach is gorgeous, but please use water shoes as it very rocky and a bit painful to walk barefoot. Even walking into the ocean can be a bit dangerous as there are rocks as you enter. The pools are great, probably my favorite. Plenty of seating/places to lay out. Photo worthy and great for playing and wearing out energy. The fitness center was sufficient for vacation workouts, free weights, dual cable machine, chest and back machines and some adjustable benches. Also had a side room used for yoga and maybe classes. Pretty good setup as far as hotel gyms go. I think enough has been written about the food in other reviews, like most others, I have no complaints. Just wish I couldāve gone to other establishments outside the resort. My one complaint is the location. Itās very isolated. A lot of the tours do not pick up from the location, so you will need to coordinate another location, possibly costing you more time. Going anywhere outside of the resort is not walkable, and getting taxis doesnāt seem to be very fast. We wanted to leave the area and walk to the convenience store and it was not possible without a taxi, even though the store was 1.3 km away. Which is a shame because you will need to purchase everything on site or take a taxi anytime, both are not cheap options.

The beach and pool were watched over by lifeguards, so I was able to play there with peace of mind.
They lent life jackets to my 4-year-old child for free, so it was reassuring. Marine shoes were also available for rent for adults.
Kayaks and snorkeling equipment can be rented for a fee.
Yellow flags are displayed when the sea is safe, purple flags when jellyfish are present and dangerous, and red flags are displayed when swimming is prohibited, so it's reassuring.
The pool had an area deep enough for babies to swim happily.
If you're by the poolside, they'll give you watermelon and watermelon ice cream, so you can relax.
The lifeguards watching over you are really kind and gentle.
I had a lot of fun just inside this hotel, so it was a very satisfying stay.
The staff were all really kind and talked to my child a lot.

First visit to the Sheraton Mactan, very easy transfer from the airport about 30 mins (with a complimentary transfer as we had booked a suite). Friendly reception on check in we had to wait for about 5 min but where offered a seat and a welcome drink We had a suite on the 8th floor D section - this is the part of the hotel to be in as its right over the ocean and had a balcony giving an all round view from sunrise to sunset Its a new hotel open about 15 months so a very well appointed suite with great facilities The hotel is built on multiple levels so slightly confusing until you work it out Tried all the dining options, first night went to Dip and took the waitresses recommendations - classic ceviche and the prawns and rice both were superb 5 Cien is the place for breakfast which was buffet which was excellent lots of Western, Filipino and Asian choices and do watch out for the dancing seahorse! 5 Cien offers a buffet in the evening and A La carte, to be honest the buffet was so good we didn't chose from the menu We had lunch at Buni bar which is more casual and we tried the sharing Filipino platter which was great! There are three swimming pools and a kids pool together with a beach front for swimming and snorkelling. The pools are arranged so they are separate and don't feel crowded. We spend most time on the beachfront. Do try the snorkelling the beach is slightly rocky so bring shoes or they will lend to you as well as floats the masks/snorkels are available for hire. But plenty to see with lots of fish What this hotel stands out for are the friendliness and efficiency of the staff everyone we met was friendly, helpful and interested in chatting Overall a great experience and we shall certainly return

I had a 90 min massage for 4600peso which is approx 81$ and the prices varies from that. Itās rather expensive compared to what u can get for those money elsewhere in Philippines, and tbh the SPA itself isnāt really that fancy, itās more like u are paying for entering a āSheraton Spaā but itās mostly the staff that makes it somewhat worthy.

Yes, you can always ask the concierge to get you a cab but the they do have additional chatge of 100 on top of the rate since itās far from mactan newtown.
"Tours are expensive because they are private. They don't offer group tours.
To visit Bohol, do it yourself (ferry + private taxi) as it's very cheap that way."
