About us: Stayed from Aug 2-Aug 4. Family of 6 (Me, wife, 3 kids, and mom). Some of our experiences include: - Broken sink and toilet stinks - SPA facilities are closed - Pool, gym and game room are only open between 9am to 5 or 6pm. - Food is subpar and expensive - A lot of construction going on during our stay. Not conducive if you have kids or if you want to have peace and quiet on your vacation. Overall, choose another hotel. If you are looking for a cheap hotel w/ great amenities, this is not the place.
Rooms are very small with very ordinary amenities. not worth the price and inconvenience. Was not informed that its condotel. Even ask to pay extra for my minor kids for the breakfast and extra beds. just terrible!
We have spent just over two weeks as Studio condo owners and are very pleased with everything. The buildings are architecturally stunning and built around the trees and blend into the garden and amazing pools The restaurants produce great food at reasonable prices All the staff are really friendly from the lifeguard to the security to the waiters cleaners and maintenance. The Gym is well equipped with new machines The pools are safe for all The beach is a good size with chance to use kayaks. There is a short trip to the local shops or the larger shops of Cebu are a taxi ride away. We are very comfortable here and looking forward to spending a longer stay next year.
Pros: The rooms are nice, staff is friendly, and the grounds are beautiful with lush trees and landscaping. breakfast depends on how many guests are staying at the resort. Cons: I stayed here for 7 nights and they require 2000 Pesos a night deposit for incidentals (total 14,000 Pesos). You must wear a wrist band during your entire stay, as they have different tier guests. The beach and pool close at 5pm. The slide/activity pool is only open on weekends. The gym closes at 6pm. The pool and beach can be rented out by non-guests for a daily fee, so plan sharing the pool and beach with people that bring their children and family for a day of fun. Some days they have a breakfast buffet (which is nice), but other days they have a plated breakfast (not all you can eat) depending on how many guests stay at the resort. So your breakfast depends on how many guests are staying at the resort.…
The staff here was the friendliest I’ve ever seen in all my years of travel. The resort is impeccable, pools were fantastic and the food was terrific. I was struggling with travel restrictions and the concierge went well out of his way on several occasions to accommodate me. His name is Dan I believe.
We were looking for a place where my senior parents could enjoy. Definetly they did. If you want to simply relax , chill and spend family time this is the place for you.The view of the beach is breathtaking. You can just lounge and watch the sunset or listen to the waves. They have variety of huge pools to choose from. Only downside was rooms are situated away from pool , resto and beach area. Though they have carts to bring you there if you don’t like to walk.
I have a unique perspective of Tambuli Seaside Resort as I have been both guest and home owner here. As a guest when they first opened, I can say it was definitely a beautiful escape from home. The Trees draped the pools, there were pockets of privacy all around the resort, perfect for honey-mooners and definitely perfect for families with young kids in terms of social distancing. Two beach fronts and 4 pools gave us more than enough room to keep a safe distance from other groups. The food was delicious, breakfast was my favorite. The waiters were so polite and the life guards were so friendly. The service was really 5-star. It was no surprise why we decided to become homeowners after our stay, 1 two-night stay was good enough to sell us. As a home-owner we were very happy with the amenities. Our kids love the place, the Life-Guards, The Bellman, The waiters, The Front Office Staff, the ground keepers, and the building guards ; our kids took a liking to all of them because I can sincerely say that Tambuli has some of the friendliest, most helpful staff we've ever seen at a resort. The location and the general feeling of safety is great at this place, it is an Oasis away from the real world. Our unique experience came when we witnessed Typhoon Odette First hand, while living in Tambuli. Needless to say it was the scariest thing our family has ever been through. To keep a long story short, That night our unit was destroyed but Tambuli's Building guards came to our assistance right away. With no fear or hesitation, they helped assist my family & I to a safe room on a lower floor with no windows, and later that evening even allowed us to sleep in their offices in the basement, since our unit was clearly destroyed. Not only did Tambuli assist us with a place for the night, but they even let my us stay in a different room while our Unit & Building was being repaired! As a mother during that horrible time, knowing my children has a place to shower, a roof over there head, a fridge for our the kids milk, and electricity for cooking ( even if it was on and off) ... Those things became priceless during post-odette and Tambuli provided all of that for us out of the generosity of their hearts. Everyone during Post-Odette times was struggling, and resources were scarce... but Tambuli really made an effort to keep ALL their guests, and a number of families Safe & Comfortable regardless of the situation. The Kindness and Generosity Tambuli showed all the Guests & homeowners during this trying times, spoke volumes and we will be forever Grateful! We're so happy we chose to live here, and we would 100% recommend this place to Guests, Future Homeowners, or anyone wanting to come for a day stay... because It truly is a Beautiful Resort run by Good people with a heart. Thank you Tambuli!…
The upgraded suite didn't have a view, it smelled like sewage, the food and drinks were just ok. Needless to say spend an extra $50 and get a better resort. We went to Ibiza for dinner at another resort and we're definitely going back there!
After enjoying Cebu City sights/food scene and the upland tourist spots, we spent our last 3 nights in Tambuli Resort and Spa. We chose Tambuli because it is newly renovated and being a condotel, gave us flexibility to prepare meals. PROS: 1. Large footprint with lush landscaping and abundant mature trees ensuring more than enough space for social distancing. 2. We enjoyed very much their 4 big pools with different themes. 3. Architecture and finish are top notch giving an overall relaxed resort feel. 4. There are several restaurants and dining outlets with delicious food. Pizza most specifically. 5. Room had a seal of hygiene during check-in so very reassuring. COULD BE IMPROVED: 1. We arrived late around 6:30pm and was very tired. Upon check-in to the room, there was no cable so we had to wait for one hour for their technician to fix it. Ideally no other persons should enter our room for covid hygiene purpose. I could nitpick about the muddy beach with seagrass but I will not since all beach resorts in Maribago have the same so being a beach front resort is still a big plus. Overall, we had a good time during our 3 days stay. A memorable swan song to our Cebu vacation. …
We stayed in the resort from July 9-12. What a pleasant stay ended disappointing. When we were checking out, Mary, the reception lady, told me that a reading light was broken in the master’s bedroom. Without asking for too much details, I asked how much do we need to pay since we are trying to catch our 1:20PM flight. After several calls to housekeeping and maintenance, she still can’t give us the exact amount (She checked their list and it was at P1,000+). I was there for almost 20 minutes waiting. When the yaya of our daughter approached me, she told me that the reading light was already broken when we arrived. That’s the time I already cited some broken fixtures in our room (A3FG) when we arrived. We didn’t make these an issue because these really didn’t bother us. But for you to charge us for something we didn’t break, this is simply wrong. After more minutes and Mary cannot still let us go because of confirmation calls she has to make, I just decided to give her P2,000.00 and leave. I hope that will “fix” whatever we “broke”. I thought we were already done. On our way to the airport, I got a call that I wasn’t charged the whole amount. I didn’t notice this because we were rushing to catch our flight. I got a call and said I will just settle everything via bank transfer. Since I am already making this as my review, allow me to highlight items for improvement: 1. Breakfast starts at 8AM and pools open at 9AM. I hope you can reconsider opening earlier for people who wake up early. Pools close at 6PM. Too early for something that opens late. 2. Water refills in the room should be free. This is the first time I’ve encountered that we are being charged Php105/ bottle for any hotel/resort we’ve stayed at. We just stayed a few weeks ago in Shangri-La, Crimson and JPark. 3. Some rooms need renovation/fixing. Our room’s cabinets need refurbishing and the some walls, repainting. Overall, our stay was good albeit the hassle we encountered during the checkout. Food is great and the staffs are friendly and accommodating. But honestly, I will think twice if we will stay here again.…
