Review [Crimson] We stayed at this resort for a period of six nights in October 2024. Overall we had an excellent experience at this resort, which is about a 30 minute drive from the airport. We stayed in a deluxe garden room, which is quite a small room by comparison to other resorts, however, the bathroom was quite spacious and well equipped. The sound proofing in the room was not great and you relied on having quiet neighbors, which thankfully we did. There are a number of restaurants at the resort, a buffet style restaurant where we would take breakfast, Spanish and Japanese style restaurants. In the evening these restaurants all seemed desperate for business, and we ate most of our evening meals at the beach bar, which despite the constant house music had a nice relaxed atmosphere, a menu of various styles, and an outlook over the ocean. We considered the pricing of the food to be quite reasonable, set against our reference point of Hong Kong. The resort has two main pool areas which have loungers and umbrellas well supplied. One pool area is set aside as a children friendly zone. We enjoyed our days by the pool, but there also quite a nice private beach with loungers, umbrellas and an area suitable for swimming and snorkeling. We also used the spa on the property on two occasions for a couples massage. The facilities were excellent with pools and steam rooms in addition to the treatment rooms. The massage itself was very professional and reasonably priced. There is also a small gym on the resort property which has a reasonable selection of treadmills, free weights and resistance machines, certainly enough for a decent workout. One outstanding feature of the resort was the staff, almost without exception everyone, regardless of their role, greeted us with a friendly smile (especially Jinky in the beach bar Azure - wonderful service). Everyone was so willing to help and provide a good experience. We did have a misunderstanding on our initial check-in, but again the staff were very patient and tried their best to quickly resolve the situation. The issue was quickly addressed and the reception manager upgraded our room as a way to apologize for the problem, something we appreciated. Overall this is a quality five star resort with facilities and staff to rival others in the price range. It hosts mainly couples and families with children and is suitable for both. We would certainly recommend to friends planning a holiday in Cebu, and looking for a relaxing beachside destination.

The Crimson Resort and Spa is located near the airport on the Mactan Island of Cebu. The location is quite secluded so public transport is not readily available. You will reply on Grab or the regular taxi. There is a regular charge of Php 100 plus the flag down rate. The property is very nice and well maintained. It has two huge, beautiful swimming pools, one located near the beach and the other one in Crimzone. We had a deluxe room with a king-size bed and it has its own shower and bath tub. Our only issue is the toilet bowl as you will hear a funny sound once you sit down. The staff is all courteous and the service in the restaurant is excellent. Once you checked in, they will ask you what is your preferred time for the cleaning of your room and I specifically requested 9-10 am. The schedule however was not followed by their housekeeping for some reason. On the first day, the lady showed up at around 10 am and apologized for being late. On the second day, she did now show up and I am not sure what time our room got cleared. However, the cleaner did not leave any fresh towels :( so I had to call the housekeeping.
In terms of following COVID-19 health protocols, I can say that we felt very safe as the property is not overcrowded, the staff wears their maks all the time and the room was properly sanitized before we were allowed to check in. Their buffet is managed by staff so the likelihood of contamination is less.
The food is great, we enjoyed the buffet breakfast which came with the room. We also availed of their happy hour on our second day, which is a good this as the following day we had to leave due to Typhoon Odette. As we realized that being stranded given the typhoon, we decided to leave a day early and for the rebooking of our flights, I tried coordinating with their concierge as I wanted some intel on the flight cancellations. They were helpful and sincere, however, I was informed that they had no staff at the airport around that time and if I wanted to, I need to hire one of their vans to send staff. Realizing that it is more complicated to ask for their help, I rebooked our tickets online for an afternoon flight.
Overall, we had a good experience staying in this property, if not for Typhoon Odette, we would have enjoyed our 3 nights 4 days accommodation which is already fully paid with no offer of being reimbursed or partly discounted. I highly recommend the hotel for couples and families.

We loved our stay at Crimson. Our room was extremely spacious and comfortable. The food at every restaurant here is AMAZING. We ate at Azure every night and never tired of the food. The breakfast buffet has an incredible spread of western and Asian cuisine. We were able to get sun beds by the pool or beach every day. And the staff, especially Han, Nam, James, and Jas, were very attentive. They were so kind to us and were especially thoughtful toward our friend who was here for her birthday. But truly, everyone we encountered was genuinely kind and ready to say hello or offer their service. Additionally, a few of us got spa treatments and were so impressed by the quality and grounds of the spa. Finally, when I needed to go to town to make a purchase, the hotel was able to offer a free shuttle or relatively inexpensive car service to take me. We really loved our four nights here.
Our only concern was their implementation of the adults only pool. Since they have two pools that allow children, it would have been nice to have one pool that was only for adults. The infinity pool has a sign that says adults only, but it was not enforced by the lifeguards on duty.

I think it really depends on what you are looking for. This resort appears best for families. There are 250 guest rooms so it felt busy all the time and it was crowded and noisy some of the time.This can also meaningfully delay the check in/check out time. I also felt that the main pool was a bit gross because of the sheer number of people in the pool. The hotel counteracts this with high power cleaning at night where the smell of the solution is overpowering if you are just trying to sit near the pool and relax under the stars. The beach is really small, it felt like fake sand had been used and the seating optoins weren't ideal so that was a lit bit disappointing. The room was spacious but nothing special.
Having said this, we were a late booking and the hotel was able to accomodate us and sort out a pick up at the airport very quickly. We were able to check in early and check out late. The spanish restaurant was excellent. The spa and the outdoor spa area was fantastic. We actually booked in more than once at the spa and spent a long time relaxing in the outdoor area because the first experience was so great. It was nice to have a gym.

Everything was perfect. Even pre-check in, they were very responsive and they took notes of my request, which they delivered.
Our pick-up — the driver asked if we wanted to drop by somewhere which we appreciated because we wanted to buy lechon on the way. Our check in was smooth. Our bags were disinfected while we were checking in. The concierge was friendly and informative and was upgraded maybe because I indicated that we were on our honeymoon. We didn’t have to carry anything and we were dropped off to our room via a golf cart. We were very comfortable.
The deluxe room — it was sanitized and everything was labeled that they were. Complete even with a separate bag for our disposable masks. The room was complete with a drying rack outside for our swimsuits, Nespresso machine with pods, blower, TV with movies which we took advantage of, tub (with TV).
The private villa — my only regret was not checking in initially in a villa. I loved our villa so much. It was so spacious with a dining area, living room area, kitchenette with Nespresso machine and pods, 2 aircon, 3 TV, automatic toilet with built-in bidet, a lounge chair outside and our very own pool. It was so relaxing!
Restaurants:
Saffron Café — the only time we ate here was for breakfasts. The spread was great and it was safe.
Azure Beach Club — a lot of choices, super yummy and super affordable!
Enye — this is now my favorite restaurant! The vibe was great, the service was great and the food was super!!! I suggest you order the Jamon Iberico (best cold cut I know), paella — the best I’ve had and a whole lot lore!
Request — celebration surprise package. I’m happy because they didn’t include this in the check in charge so my husband didn’t have an idea. The cake was yummy and they included cookies plus balloons. It was very convenient since I didn’t have time or the capacity to go out and plan a surprise.
Overall: One of the best hotels I’ve ever been in. Service was the best. I will definitely be back and will try their other locations.

For a deluxe accomodation, the room has a very comfortable, cozy bed, huge bathroom with tub and cable tv!, and a really good air conditioning system. The room was sanitized really well, and they even provide sanitizing kit with hand sanitizer, sanitizing tissue, and mask. The kids enjoyed Crimzone very much, and it is not very crowded because you have to have prior appointment to control the number of kids using the place. The pools are are really refreshing and just the right deepness for kids and adults alike. The kids loved the infinity pool! The beach area is scenic and very relaxing. We had our dinner at Azure and enjoyed Nasi Goreng and Bollywood pizza a lot! Kudos to the chef. Breakfast was a bit crowded, but the tables are distanced really well from each other. Food was sumptuous, and I appreciate the fact that they offer BACON! :D But, what makes Crimson excel compared to other resorts we've been, are the staff. Very approachable, helpful and courteous. Everywhere we meet, from gardener to waiters, to bellboy, etc., they always have a smile on their faces and greet you, Good morning/afternoon/evening. That simple act/gesture can really make your day. :)

Me & my husband just wanted to celebrate our 3rd Wedding Anniversary and decided to try out Crimson Resort. We knew their food was great, but wanted to try staying for a night. We ended up booking for another night’s stay because overnight ain’t enough. Their room was well sanitized, even left a message for their guests assuring what steps they did to sanitize the place; plus they sent us a cake greeting us a Happy Anniversary. All these small things count a lot. To cap our day, we tried their massage at Aum Spa, perfectly relaxing! I don’t know where to begin with my review since everything is excellent at this resort. Upon arrival, the check-in is hassle-free despite not paperless. No queue, and it was completed under 10 minutes. The room is spacious, sanitized, and clean. Not many people are crowding or converging, peaceful and quiet, ideal for relaxation. Azure Beach Club serves fantastic food (I ordered the ribeye steak and grilled ribs) and a good selection of drinks. Except for the kitchen staff not wearing the face mask the proper way, I wouldn't have any complaints. The beach is not as refined as what you expect, but it is an excellent beach to dip and enjoy the salty water. The people don't need a review because it also offers relaxation on a lazy afternoon. The staff is as excellent as the place that is always willing to help. Kudos to Darryl of Azure for bringing food and drinks, whether you are at the beach or by the pool!

We had a lot of fun with our stay. There are however a lot of things that can be improved on. We were checked-in from Feb 14-16, 2021 on the days before, I had inquired about the on site restaurants Valentines offers, as we have a 5 yr old kid with us and also what the menu will be as I don’t eat beef, and would it be better at Saffron, the reply I got was ok we will reserve for you at Saffron with no time of reservation. We decided to dine at Ibiza Beach Club where our daughter can order ala carte or buffet but she was treated to a free 10 course Balearic buffet. In the weekdays you can’t dine at Enye or have drinks at the Rock Bar since its only open on weekends that was ver disappointing. The room itself is ok but the luggage rack needs to be sturdier and the blue light on the USB port is very bright when all the lights are out. The shower cubicles’ flooring is is either not low enough but the door won’t close that allowed the water to splash outside until it pools its very dangerous, also means some parts of the flooring is not even so that the water pools on two areas. The Azure Beach club server trainee Raine was very nice and accommodating as she always patiently waits for us to order.

I didn't look forward to my stay at Crimson Mactan as much as in my other resort trips in Mactan. After checking out reviews from various sources online, I was left underwhelmed. I was certain it was going to be another ordinary weekend. This experience surprisingly took a big 180.
Check-in was such a pleasant experience with Elmar (Director of Rooms). He took note of our requests and gladly accommodated them and gave that reassurance they their team are there should we need any other assistance. Throughout our stay, the warm courtesy extended to us was very much consistent with all the staff around the resort. Everyone was very helpful.
The room that we had was quite spacious and I really appreciated the big bathroom. It's not the most impressive in terms of maintaining the interiors but the space makes up for it.
Throughout the resort the landscapes were better maintained and looked immaculate despite the reduced staffing in most resorts because of the pandemic.While the property was expansive, most of the commom areas were not as big compared to the rest which tend to create crowds during peak hours. The beach and pool area tend to get crowded from 7 am to 11 am and from 3 pm to late in the afternoon.Given the current situation crowds were managed well where staff were constantly ensuring proper distancing was observed and that guests were reminded to wear masks particularly in enclosed areas.
F&B staff were very attentive. They guys over at Azure made awesome drinks and were awesomely helpful, accommodating and attentive (Happy hour starts from 5:30 to 7:30 PM with tables on a first come first serve basis) . Food was equally great with good portions. I suggest spending sunset until dinner here with some nibbles as the restaurant area tend to get crowded. Breakfast is served early at 6:30 AM. Best to go as soon as they open so you can dine al fresco as Saffron gets full around 7:30 AM on a weekend.
Overall, this was a very restful and enjoyable experience. Crimson proved me wrong and showed how great hospitality and service can make a great lasting impression.
