It is our third stay. Ocean view rooms are still fine. But the lack of availability of regular taxis is still a problem, although there are already a number of establishments in Punta Engano. They have a special arrangement with a taxi driver who gets an additional amount on top of the regular meter charge. And it seems that the hotel gets a share of that amount, as the driver gave them some cash. And this taxi driver is moody. Sometimes he is friendly, but when he brought us to the airport, he was just in the taxi the whole time despite it being full of mosquitos. No attempt at helping out with luggage. Is the additional effort of passing by Arterra really worth the extra amount paid? I hope competition would rise up in the future.
As for the breakfast, I opted to take a la carte instead of the buffet, which did not serve much for the price paid.

Since its pandemic hotels services were very limited and as a guest I understand.
The pool was child friendly and I like it because my son can swim anywhere in the pool with no worries at all.
What I admire the most about this place is not its amenities or its facilities but the character of all the staff. They are very courteous, attentive, caring and facilitating. The good traits of their staff offset all negative thoughts that I have for Arterra Hotel during my stay.

The staff were very kind and patient to me, Treasha, who added a delightful and warm welcome as I entered the establishment. And the food was exquisite 👌 thanks to Dave, his suggestions were excellent as it was fit to my likings.

I am looking forward to having more joyous experience in this hotel.

Check in was not smooth as so many customers complaining why rooms are not ready when check in time is already over (we arrived around 2:30pm). Room was not bad but heater was broken and nothing in the room and stuffy. Pool was not clean and we felt itchy. Food is extremely over price and need to wait for ages to arrive. Call phone from room for any assistance no one will pick up and ignore no matter how many times you call. Staffs are very unprofessional and extremely lack of training and keep watching guests and commenting and laughing rather then assist the guest in polite manner. Seem no manager or supervisor is watching and all staffs have their own freedom (cleaner watching phone while cleaning, guard at entrance busy trying to top up extra money on korean guest (taxi charge 350 and they tell guest 500 and get 150 for theirself), pool area has so many left over food and plates and fly and smell awful and no one clean or keep. We intended to stay 2 nights but we check out early.
Breakfast is limited choices and food are awful taste with running by unprofessional staffs.
Check out I have paid already and asked me to pay again because of their online poor system but managed to show the records so it was fine eventually.
Very unpleasent and no relaxing at all and never go back again.

Pros: The room was spacious, comfortable, quiet and spotless, good facilities, scenic view of sunrise, very friendly and accommodating staff esp. May at the front desk.

Cons: Quiet far from the City area. Difficult to get a grab/taxi, need to book from the front desk but with addt'l fee. If you want to relax, this is the place (since we're newly wed and this is the kind of place we want)
But if you want to do more activities or plan to roam the city, this might not be the place for you.

Breakfast is plated (missing the buffet), food choices still limited.

Internet's not good though May was able to informed us prior to check in. Good thing I brought my Laptop with me, I connected it to the main Wi-Fi and enable the mobile hotspot app which provides us faster internet

One of the best hotels we've gone so far. Everything was perfect. My family really enjoyed our stay here.
The ocean view was WOW!
The pool is really nice and it has a mini bar on the center of it.
The foods were a bit pricey but we managed to eat our own packed goodies.
The memories that we've spent will surely be missed.
Hoping to be back soon!😊

I loved everything about that one day staycation. Staff were friendly, food was great and we felt safe because they observed proper health protocols and there weren't a lot of guests at the time of our visit. Excellent customer experience!0

Being in Cebu after Christmas we planned to stay in a nice place near the beach for the dawn of the new year and booked two nights in arterra. Good that we took the option to have a free canceling. Right after the booking we received confirmation. In the confirmation it stated suddenly that all guest staying at 31 would attend a mandatory gala dinner for 1500php per head. Mandatory? Wtf. Can I not decide for myself if I want to participate in a gala dinner? Three more unsolicited mails followed through Agoda. About an incidental deposit to be paid of 1500 cash. Hey this is 2024 is there not a checkout procedure, ID registration and credit card in case of issues? Then another mail. About not being allowed to make photos unless we bought the photoshoot option??? Wtf-2 so we are not even entitled to make our own photos for free on the premises??? Mail 3: that we are not allowed to bring any consumable foods or drinks in the hotel. Wtf 3. My goodness. We already got so stressed and annoyed before we even arrived. Decided to cancel and stay in another place. Only when we threatened to cancel the mandatory gala was waived but we had our portion already with the management policies and attitude here. No thank you. This review to warn others interested.

A great place to spend with family, your loved ones and also have an event here.
Nice ambiance, relaxing, and far from the busy city. You’ll have a great time, and perfect view. The staffs here are so attentive, professional and nice. They are so accommodating and really treats each guest nicely. Even their sales team are so great, they helped us with all our requests to have a successful event. Customer service in this place is 100% great!

Me and my family had a great time here, even decided to extend another night as we really loved our stay. We also had fun on the pool and inflatable pool, so clean and well maintained.

More Blessings Arterra Family. Kudos! Keep it up!

Actually we were checking in here last October 2019. The hotel property is a mixed hotel and condo. The we're somewhat new. The staff were disorganized. Its like they don't know what to do. The pool were so dirty. The water is stagnat and the pump was not working. There was a lot of broken tiles under the poolI. And also I saw outsiders just coming in and use the pool. Lack of security. Verry poor services. All in all its. Ot well manage properly.
