Abaca private beach is only good for short cayac, you cannot snorkel. As other reviewer says, I recommend to ask the hotel to reserve a boat or you can reserve island hopping day tour by yourself, there are few you can reserve online.
I went three island hopping with BBQ tour, reserved via online. Ocean was deep blue and as for fish, I saw many but I did not see much of colorful...blue, yellow, or reddish fishes out there. Some tour has a wild "whale shark" watching snorkel tour. You may want to check that out too.
One other thing. You may be alright but ocean I went for snorkel had many floating leaf which left little scars and itchiness for a week. My friend also had it.
Snorkel tour starts from early morning. If you cannot eat breakfast @ hotel, ask batler. They will make you sandwich in a to go box instead. Enjoy!
