Got a discounted rate on a seaview room, stayed there for 3days 2nights with friends Hotel location is beach front. Don’t expect a fine sand and clear water. There’s a free kayaking in the afternoon and other activities. Hope they can setup beach umbrella. Service is superb, exceeded my expectation! From Reservation (special thanks to Camille) down to Restaurant staff! All our request were granted including special arrangement with breakfast.

However toiletries are not fully set-up no slippers, no laundry bag etc. Overall experience is good!

The resort is accessible from Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue and Cebu Cities either by public transport or by private car. Parking is free.

The resort has a gym, a swimming pool, a bar & restaurants. There are also function rooms. The staff at the Salt restaurant are all courteous and efficient. Same with the ladies at the reception. They are not only excellent in check-in and check-out but also in assisting guests through phone like how to operate the cable TV box.

There are inflatable slides at the foreshore. It seems that the original beach is not as beautiful as it is today. There's this procedure I've seen in resorts in Bohol and Palawan called beach nourishment. The white beach in Monterrey, California also undergone this process. I think this was also done in Be Resort Mactan.

Our stay in this resort could have been perfect if not for one thing. We requested for rooms with connecting door and got it but the rooms were located at the 2nd floor. When I open the window, all I can see is the the top of the entrance canopy. But that did not ruin our stay...not a big deal...

Stayed in Punta Engano, Mactan every year and I find all hotels in the area to be costly compared to other hotels in Mactan and Cebu. Compared to other nearby hotels, Be Resort is reasonably priced. This place has a nicely-designed lobby and room fixtures. The beachfront is clean. It is quite nice to just lounge around at the beachfront especially at night. During weekends though, this place gets crowded and since this hotel is a small boutique hotel, you don't get the relaxing vibe of the bigger resorts in the area. Breakfast, however, is never a good option. There are not much restaurants near the area, so dining has limited options.

Dear attyjing, Thank you for sharing your review with us! We are really glad that you have chosen BE as your stay itinerary in the quiet Punta Engaño strip. At BE, we always make sure that our guests get the most out of their stay with us at an affordable deal. It's also nice to hear from our guests like you that our hotel has a good design appeal to it and that you enjoyed lounging by the cabanas. With regards to your mention about the crowd in our resort especially during weekends, we sincerely apologize if this has compromised your quiet stay with us. Please be reassured that we will try our best to remind other guests to keep their voices down to a minimum. For your comment about the food served at Salt Restaurant, we are in the process of improving our menu so that we will be able to provide you with the best dining experience. We hope to see you again and serve you better during your next stay with us! Sincerely yours, Malou Saraum Hotel Manager

We stayed over the weekend for my better half's birthday treat. This is our first out-of-the-home time together during the COVID Pandemic. We were a little bit anxious but we trust in the quality of service BE Resort Mactan offers during these times.

We felt safe as there are proper health protocols observed by the staff and the guest are also reminded to follow the same. The room was spacious for two persons and we are impressed by how fast the internet connection is within every hotel premises so we can still update with the work we have to deal with while staying.

The food was also good and served abundantly. Though there were delays with our orders due to their limited hotel staff (in which we truly understand). We were also glad that our ordered dessert was given free of charge as a complimentary from the Chef who also sang the birthday song together with the other staff. We thought that was very generous and thoughtful of them.

We are truly glad we chose BE.

My friends invited me over for dinner at Salt Restaurant. Food was amazing especially the Crispy Sinigang. Beautiful ambiance and beautiful resort and great service.

Infinity pool was on point as well over looking the beach with its own inflatables. Perfect for family and friends.

Had our wedding after party at the roofdeck. Very cozy and very polite staff!

I’ll def consider this place next time I’m back in Cebu.

Beachfront is by far one of the best amongst the hotels along the shore. Serene ambiance and fine white sand.
Facilities are exceptionally clean, hotel housekeeping is superb with new towels everyday and refill of toiletries as soon as you have used up the one you have. Water bottles are always refilled so buying your own water is not needed.
Rooms are big and clean, complete with TV, big closet, bathroom with hot shower waters, bathrobes, hotel bedroom slippers and even two pairs of slippers that you can wear to the beachfront.
Breakfast is amazing! Sweet fresh fruits every day, freshly cooked eggs just the way you like it, bacon that is cooked just the right way! Restaurant menu for the rest of the day also has a variety of choices with a twist of chef’s speciality cooking. You can also request the chef to modify your food for you just in case you prefer.
On top, all staff are accommodating, pleasant, friendly, and polite. Staffs will pause and happily greet you a BEautiful day.
Kudos to all staffs especially the very accommodating restaurant staffs Jess and Allan for being very friendly and won’t let out coffee cups run out ☺️
Well spent stay, indeed!

Five star rating! The food was great especially the Adobong Bangus. The staff were very accomodating and when we request our room to be cleaned up since one of our babies accidentally vomited, within 5 minutes after our call they hurriedly came to our room. Will definitely come back.

Good front desk staff, quite friendly and helpful, however they do not answer phones that much. Out of 8 calls, only one was answered.

They call their beach a marine sanctuary but its filled with trash that never gets picked up. Yes its the guests fault, but if they want to preserve the integrity of their “marine sanctuary”, perhaps hire staff to rake the trash once a day. That is if they are really environmentalists as they purport to be.

During this week, several constructions continued to bother the guests, while simultaneously disrespecting the sanctity of Holy Week. There was so much dust flying around that even I got sick. Is it so difficult to schedule construction after the peak season? Or is that too much to ask?

Their worst flaw is their restaurant - SALT. Awful service. Observe their egg station, its a complete mess. There are pre-cooked eggs that are waiting at the back, but never get served up front to the guests. The pans are ridiculously messy and prone to cross contamination. Chafing dishes are always empty and are slow to be refilled. Heck even the empty milk dispenser for kids was empty for a long time. Too much negligence running around here.

I write this on Easter Sunday, and I have been here for a week. I understand that Holy Week is indeed busy, however as a restaurant owner myself, foresight would dictate that during peak season, additional staff would be procured so as not to compromise service. They had 3 days to fix their problems, but they refuse to rectify these shortcomings.

Mediocre and lazy service.

Our stay at this resort was not a good experience. We were booked into this resort for 11 days but we left after 8 days knowing we would not get a refund. They are doing some renovations on the third and forth floors in the resort and there is also a high rise building being built right next door so there was a lot of construction activity. The main reason for us leaving earlier then scheduled was because of the amount of noise throughout the resort. The doors on the rooms are self closing and when they close, they slam and are extremely loud. We were woken up several times every night from the slamming doors and undisciplined kids running down the hallways at all hours of the day screaming. There was two wedding ceremonies on the plot beside the resort and the music was so loud it was vibrating the windows on the resort. I had to leave the resort for several hours because the noise was unbearable. The service in the Salt restaurant and the Deck bar was very poor and slow. The majority of the time we had to find a server if we wanted service. I found this to be very uncharacteristic because generally Cebu has always provided world class service since I have been going there. There is nothing flashy about this resort yet the prices they charge would be comparable to a 4 star resort. We ate dinner outside the resort every night except for the first night because of the prices and also because it was a limited menu. The private beach is clean and well maintained but the beach is not sand. It is made up of small rocks and sea shells. You will need to have on footwear if you walk on it. I would like to thank the front end Manager Ritche for her efforts. I had brought the noise concern to her attention and she acted on my complaint immediately. When I informed her that we were not sleeping at night and would be leaving the resort early, she did what a good Manager would do and tried everything in her power to keep us there. I told her we already booked another hotel so our minds were set to leave. She then apologized repeatedly and arranged courtesy transportation for us to the other hotel. Thank you Ritche. Because of our experience here, we will never stay at this resort again.

Dear R6647SNkerryd, BEautiful Day! Thank you for taking time to share your review. I'm sorry to hear that your recent experience wasn't up to your expectations. We take all feedback seriously and we appreciate your honest review. We always strive to provide exceptional services to our guests and we're disappointed that we fell short in your case. We understand how frustrating that would be and we apologize for the inconvenience. We have addressed the case with our F&B staff on slow service and are taking steps to ensure that it doesn't happen again. As our room renovation is already in its final phase, we hope that we can still show to you the true BE resort experience, we're still hoping to welcome you back in the future. It was one of the best birthday experience. The staff prepared 2 cakes on a separate plate with dedication each and we entered into a clean and tidy room with a cake towel on top of the bed. Check in procedure was smooth. The staffs were very accommodating and courteous. Ms. Divine of Salt restaurant always wear a beaming smile every time she’s interacting with us. The pools were well maintained and clean plus there’s a lifeguard on standby all the time.

best to get in touch with the hotel first to find out how far there advanced with this renovation,my trip was in nov 2017,and a disaster,to be honest i wouldnt go back even if it was finished.Bottom line is that the hotel management should advise people when booking that they have MAJOR renovations going on,and they didnt!
