It was an awesome experience in Pacific Cebu Resort. The view is stunning. Stuffs are too cordial. It’s a complete homely treatment I have got from Van, she is a front office supervisor. I had a midnight flight and she arranged my breakfast meal before I depart. I am so thankful, and really appreciate.

After checking in when we were about to go to the beach, we could not leave the room because the main door could not be locked. We told them we were happy to leave the door unlocked as long as they gave us a key to lock the bedrooms but they did not have the keys to the bedroom either. Horrible.

Stayed here overnight, upon checking in there’s only 1 frontdesk officer with 2 OJTS only. Customers were frustrated already it was 3PM already but their rooms were not yet ready. A OJT facilitated my check in and gave me a different room which was not to my specification as he was unfamiliar with the room set up. Dealt with cockroaches inside the room and bathroom. Resort was clearly understaff, breakfast was ala carte serving at least 130+ guests where we had to line up and order. There was not enough tables and chairs in the dining area. Took 30 mins for food to be served. Bad experience overall.

It was much better than expected. After booking I read a couple of reviews left here in trip advisor. I had wanted to cancel, but that was not an option. We decided to make the best of it since it was Mother's Day and my birthday. I lived through Odette. Had no MECO service for 3 months. I didn't see any signs of Odette damage. If it was there it wasn't glaring. The pools are well maintained. The beach was fine. The food isn't as bad as others have written though it is a little pricy if you're used to food prices in Cebu. The tourists mostly from Japan won't think the prices are high. I asked a Japanese couple why they had chosen this resort. They told me it was part of a tour package. Japanese love tour packages where everything is selected for them. I know. I lived there for 27 years. There is a cycle for their breakfasts. Ours was on a Monday so it was: Continental Filipino American. Funny thing.. corned beef is in the American breakfast. Oh sorry. No Canadian breakfasts. Haha. The rooms were fine. The "air con" was strong and so was the hot water in the shower. No problem. OMG! There were a few ants. Hahaha. So what. It's the Philippines. They're everywhere. The staff was courteous and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. The door latch in room 505 needs to be reversed. It comes right off when you open the door.

Currently checked-in while writing this review. Place was once nice, I think. However, it was poorly-maintained. Door locks are not functioning, no bidet, you'll see rust on bathroom fixtures too. But these could have been acceptable had they tried to improve on other aspects. Now let's talk about their food, there was so little to choose from. Taste and quality was really bad. And the price? A very small portion of fries covered with some cheap cheese powder for 200php, juice which is obviously the instant powder at 400 per pitcher, and 9in dry pizza (the worst pizza I've had in my life) at 420php. And what makes this stay really awful for me, is the fact that they dont allow outside foods and drinks, even water, in that case. You are forced to buy from them at a very high price. They provide in-room bottled water though, 2 of 250ml bottles. No water dispensers in the area or even in the resto. So can you imagine how pissed off I am right now? Don't let those photos deceive you. Check for actual reviews and photos posted by those who stayed recently. Pacific Cebu Resort screams false advertising and upfront robbery.

(My complaint email to the travel agency who booked this place) I don't think I will go through this price guarantee process. Needless to say I found advertising for this resort locally for less than $1000 Taiwan dollars, I paid more than $4000.  But of more concern, I must say that this was the WORST deception I have ever experienced in terms of the quality of the resort.  This resort does not meet any of standards expected.  It look VERY old, ill MAINTAINED and abandoned to the elements.  Room...  Sliding glass door would not lock.. Fix after three complaints and 2 days. Cockroachs coming from the drain, old worn, dirty bathroom, no shampoo etc..  Rock hard old bed mattresses. Small, Very uncomfortable!  Must buy drinking water! At 10X the market price. Few electric outlets. Need to unplug TV to charge phones? Little to no International TV channels  Furniture old, worn, chipped paint.  Resort facilities...  Most of the resort is dilapidated. Many buildings and rooms closed because of falling apart. Closed spa, Closed childrens pool, areas overgrown with weeds and vegetation debris. Broken glass. Ants on pool lounges. Paint coming off of most everything.  Breakfast was single plate service, that had been prepared hour's in advance, you could see by the discoloration of the food. 🤮  Dinning room water dispenser was dirty. Had sand and ?? in my glass.  The staff was nice and after talking with them, they seemed to know the problems, but were powerless to do anything. There 20 to 30 well dress students doing meanial tasks ie sweeping, saying hello to everyone, as on the job training, but it seems more like free labor.  Place is set up to rip-off unsuspecting tourists. What few of them that were there. Maybe 15 guests for more than a hundred rooms... Ghost resort...not many stayed there during the day.  Should have left but the hassle of changing places and plans would only regret losing my time and money to do so. Went touring instead.  Ok.. sorry to complain so adamantly  but you are a accomplice in this deception, so you should be made aware.  Not sure I believe (travel agency) anymore 😔

This “resort” needs a lot of repairs and new management. The accommodations are very average and poorly maintained. The first night the shower scalded my hand and could not be cooled. Travel for 48 hours and no shower - that sucks! The trees were damaged in a typhoon over a year ago and have not been replaced. The beach is eroded and not inviting. The breakfast is a scoop of rice and scrambled eggs and I would rate it as poor. If you pay more than $75 (US) or 4000 PHP you are getting ripped off. Look for much nicer places that are maintained and managed properly.

Each and every step from the moment of our arrival were accompanied by a bigger and bigger shock and disappointment. First impressions from the hotel were ruined by the very purely maintained territory. Everywhere around we could see fallen uncleanned leaves and tree's branches. The whole picture made an impression that the hotel is abandoned for many years and we are the only people here. Instead of welcoming receptionist we were met by the only security (as no one were presented by the reception) who could barely explain anything due to lack of English. Getting to the condition of the room... First of all, security couldn't open the door from the first time. We were promised the room with the ocean view, however it is very difficult to call "ocean" the swamp we saw. The room itself is very old and in a very bad condition. The AC is old and noisy, on the ceiling there is huge yellow leakage stane, the shower is rusty and leaking, no hot water, the water pressure barely allows you to clean yourself. Because of the "ocean" outside, the room smells like rotten eggs. I shall mention that instead of having proper rest after more than 24 hours being on the way and having so deserved vacation, we are forced to struggle in such conditions.

The selling point of this hotel is their three pools. Don't expect nice beaches in Lapulapu City because seagrasses are abundant but you can spend your entire day transferring from one pool to another. Their rooms are just fine. It's spacious enough for the family. Accessibility is just a challenge. For a public commuter, it would be difficult getting to and leaving this place. One has to take a tricycle to and from Gaisano in order to take a taxi.
