Worst Reception Ever. Even the security guard is a liar. And the manager will side with the guard no matter what, even if we have physical evidence to support the claim. They will offer you airconditioned rooms and then it turns out the aircon is already busted and will give electric fan as compensation. Very big no-no based on consumer rights since they promised fully functioming airconditioned rooms. We tried changing our rooms but the guard will will tell the manager that the aircon was never broken and will want to call the police. In the end, they were the ones the cops found guilty and had to give us a full refund. Never, EVER, book from this hotel. -5 out of 10 stars. NEGATIVE.

We stayed at La Gloria Residence Hotel for one LONG week, unfortunately i can't say anything positive about the hotel except the Hotel Needs Restorations, There is no Elevator no house cleaning the rooms all stink. Breakfast time is between 6.00 to 9.00am. the girl at the desk Irene used to call me at 8.00am for breakfast cause she wanted to go home. If one ordered an egg for breakfast they only serve you one small sausage there is no bread. we booked a deluxe Room that was suppose to have a Coffee/Tea Maker no such thing the girls reply was if i want a Kettle there is a charge We were the only guests in the hotel, Do yourself a favor STAY AWAY Vincent Spiteri

Accomodation is ok to me because I have slept on the the steets before but this I don't know. I booked into Stella hotel within a hour. Been there before and still is good

Location - 10/10 • Downtown • Walking distance to Cebu Sports Center - where Sinulog held every year. • Approx. 2kms away from Taboan Market - where you can buy Dried fish, squid, famous danggit etc. • Behind E-mall or Elizabeth Mall • Perfect place for street foods, cheap stuff and public market and stalls • Walking distance to University of Cebu, ACT College, University of San Carlos, Church and South Bus Terminal Price - Average 8/10 La Gloria Inn Exterior and Interior - Fairly New 8/10 La Gloria Amenities - 5/10 • Onsite restaurant is open for free breakfast only from 6AM to 9AM. Better if they will offer it until 11AM. • Bar is closed all the time. • My room is at 5F and there is no elevator. Stairs is okay, skid free since all stairs are carpeted. Not recommended for elderly and for those who always comes home drunk from party. • My room doesn't have hot shower. • Sky cable tv is decent. • Aircon is cold and perfect. • Door is key card lock. • Bed and Pillows are soft & comfy

The place was cozy and nice, there are just some areas that needed refurbishing. Specifically the rest room, water pressure on sink is stronger compared to the shower. Shower pipes is full of chrome and a little rust, door is difficult to close and a struggle to open and rod where you can hang your clothes are not available. Other than that the place is nice for a budget stay.

At first I was quite worried in booking this hotel because of accessibility, but when we have arrived there, I was surprised that we can even walk going to Colon Street and Sto. Nino Basilica. Accessibility to tourist spot and public transportation as well as nearby stores is the most appealing in this hotel. Room is spacious and decent. The only issue is the shower. The heater is not functioning well, but the overall experience was great!

My stay at La Gloria was the abolute worst ever. There is nothing to recommend this place. I had upgraded from a standard room to a deluxe room because the deluxe was offered with refrigerator, coffee and water. It had none of these and the staff basically told me it was a ruse to get people to stay there. So I had to again upgrade to a superior room as I required a refrigerator. Still no coffee but they did provide two 600ml bottles of water. I had to ask for cups and glasses as none were provided. The duvet cover had a tear in it and the sheets had holes in them. I asked for them to be replaced but the new sheets still had holes in them. Then I checked the bathroom. The grouting was filthy and the toilet had obviously not been cleaned as there was a yellow ring around the water line. I demanded that it be cleaned and asked that the room be cleaned every two days. It was cleaned twice in the two weeks I was there!! In that time the towels - one per person - were replaced once. The room had a window which did not open and the view from it was of the building next door less than two metres away. The free breakfast consisted on one cup of rice, one fried egg and one hotdog, two longaniza or one scoop of canned corned beef. I asked if I could have toast rather than rice which they were happy to provide but would not provide butter, condiments, jam - nothing. What a dump. Anyone who says otherwise could not possibly have stayed more that a day or two. Would I stay there again...Never.

I'm satisfied with the looks of the hotel itself too bad it's located in old and dark 1950's building area. The room is nice and looks new; it had new air conditioning, good wi-fi connection, flat screen TV, except the bathroom floor drainage is clogged and the floor will get flooded when the drainage filled-up with water. This hotel is near Colon shopping area, Gaisano Mall South, McDonald's, Jollibee, and near all transportations (I recommend GRAB taxi). It's about 45 minutes drive from Mactan Airport; taxi driver is not too familiar with this hotel use google map if you have one. This hotel doesn't have an elevator but it's not really a bad walk that's if you don't have a walking problem. I would have give 4 star rating if it wasn't for the clogged bathroom drainage; it's that bad because I stayed in their 2 different rooms with clogged bathroom drainage.

After flying for over twelve hours, and a taxi ride for half an hour where the driver berated us for choosing this hotel in the downtown, our arrival was greeted with vague interest! We had a tiny but compact room (plus a cheap fold out bed for our 8 year old), no food but a McDonald's within fifteen minutes walking distance but at least a cold beer. The next morning interest in us improved, breakfast was plenty and the Cebu downtown activities were great to watch. Sometimes being downtown is ok! But we only stayed one night!

The area of the hotel is a little scary but without a doubt a representation of the real Philippines which I really enjoyed. When I first arrived I was placed in a room with a strong chemical odor to it, when I went down to the front desk to ask the receptionist about it she immediately placed me in another room. Which I greatly appreciated. I would rate this hotel average. It is cost friendly, close to the port and has a decent decor but I don't think I would stay here again. Probably would want something with a better vibe :)
