So we arrived at 4am from a transfer by boat form Surigao, First thing the guard is sleeping and doesnt help with many luggages we had... Then we are charged 200php l/hr for 9hours checkin is 2pm we we are here at 4am...i understand there should be a fee for that but 200/hour x 9 hours its basically over the price i paid on booking.com for a night... To get the room i agree... To finally find a condom...yes a used condom on the bed tables...upon entering the room. Wow that was a first time! Terrible place to avoid staff was accommodating and gave us a 1500php refund on our stay. Over all very disappointing.

I love how friendly their receptionists are and how smiley they were. The location is also good. The room is good too. I love the quiet air conditioner. However, there are some things they need to improve on: 1. There were mosquitoes in the room when I got in the room. 2. There was no bidet spray in the bathroom like it said online and how they confirmed it via email. 3. The noise from the outside can be clearly heard from the inside. 4. Cable box was not working. They took care of concern #1 immediately after I reported it to them. Which I appreciate so much. I didn't bother talking to them about the rest of the concerns because, I knew these were things they couldn't take care of at that time. But, good job to the staff. They were quick in responding to my queries and my needs.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor are probably quieter than the poolside rooms on the ground floor.

The room is big with a 5-star quality bed. They have a mini fridge with drinks & food inside but not for free of course. The pool is not that huge and has 4ft deep. The chair arrangement at the reception area is a bit jumbled as well as the at the pool area. We didn’try their food breakfast ‘coz it’s a bit pricey yet it’s very limited and there’s a lot of restaus outside. Overall, it was a great stay! Thank you Oyo for the affordable hotel price!

PROS - Mercury Drug within hotel property - Large rooms - Friendly staff CONS - Toilet smells like a sewer - Ill maintained. Lots of rust wherever there's metal: drains, shower heads, pipes - my room didn't have any toiletries. Fortunately there's a Mercury Drug store next door - itchy bed and blanket - a bit far off from the city center - drinking cup in the toilet had a lot of stains. Disgusting.

Great location, hotel needs a bit of maintaince work, however depending how you look at it this does add to the charm. Management is really friendly, and professional. If you have any issues ask for Jay Jay, he is the owner and a good guy. Would recommend the premier deluxe room over the standard.

This hotel was obviously first class when it was first built. Our room was a good size with touches of past elegance. Today it is in need of a good refit but remains comfortable with a touch of charm. It had a lovely view both towards Tops Lookout and down the valley. Meals are delivered to the room and we enjoyed the food as we chatted and took in the view. WIFI worked readily while we were there. Its a great spot to explore the hills above Cebu City. A little more care could be taken with the cleanliness of the bathroom. I would happily stay here again.

We have been staying at hilltop every weekend for about three years now. We love the place because it is like our second home. Petty things we can understand like staff ineffectiveness, of course because 80% are OJTs. What disappointed us the most is an incident that happened this week. I booked the same room we always stay at last Sunday, June 25, for July 1-2. The front office staff named April, confirmed the room and said okay. June 26, I received a text from the hotel saying that the room I booked is not available because the owner will book someone in that room. They will transfer us to another room which is more expensive. I told them okay but we will pay the same amount as the room that was confirmed to us if we will be transferred. The hotel texted back to inform us that we will not be transferred and we will stay at the room they committed to us. Saturday came and we checked it around 11pm. The same front office staff told me we are transferred to another room because there was an early check-in and another staff named Juliet gave our room To another guest. No one advised me even through text that we were being transferred. You definitely have to look into how you communicate and train your employees. Considering how often we have been staying in your hotel, this is how you treat us. To make the matter worst, i asked for a transfer last night in the room that was originally committed to us for 10am this morning. There was no endorsement done by April. Staff for the next shift was not aware. No one updated us. Even the owner who lives in the hotel is not aware of the incident. Please do something about this. This is unacceptable.

Well the pictures of the standard room in the website where it has view is quite deceiving since the view that we got is the pool. But room is quite clean and spacious though old. Bathroom is clean as well. With in room safe, and quite few channels on the tv. The food is okay, you can have it delivered to you room. Free on site parking. You really get what you pay for in this hotel. (Polite reception)

This is the second time I've stayed here. The first time I was on the second floor in the suite and it was great but I couldn't connect to the wifi from there. The second time I was on the ground floor in a regular room and had great wifi. I will stay here again and the regular room is a good deal. The breakfast is not included, but it's a good price and it's not bad. The location is quiet, but still close to the city.
