I was very pleased with my week's stay at Robe's Pension house.

Keep in mind this is a pension house, which is a Filipino term for an informal budget hotel similar to what Americans would call a hostel or what many Asian countries would consider a guesthouse. So don't expect your room to look like the luxury suite at Radisson Blu. Sure, the pension house can use touch-up paint here and there. But it's overall a new and clean place to stay. It's identical or cleaner to what you'd find at budget hotels in town where you pay almost double.

I didn't mind that the pension house had no elevator. Some guy can help move your luggage up the stairs. It’s only a concern if you cannot walk the stairs.

In my room, the AC got very cold to the point where I had to adjust the thermostat. It was also quiet inside. Yes, you'll hear an occasional dog barking or taxi honking on the street. But the pension house cannot control that.

Staying on the fourth floor, the wifi worked just fine on my laptop. But my phone and tablet couldn't maintain a signal.

Within 150 meters of the pension house, you will find 3 laundry shops, 2 internet cafes and a bakery.

While there are questionable characters walking around near Colon, the pension house is far enough away so that the immediate area feels safe. There are southbound jeepneys almost at the doorsteps of the pension house. For northbound ones, you’ll have to walk 10 minutes to Osmena Blvd. If you prefer a taxi, finding one at any hour is a non-concern.

I am a frequent visitor to Cebu and will definitely return.

We stayed there for two nights. We got our room for 800php a night for 2 pax. Its a very good room for its price. there is tv, hot shower and FREE wifi😋. It is also very accessible to the city center. if you want to save money, i recommend to just take a jeepney(you can ask at the reception area or the guard on how to get to the place you wanted). Or just like what we did, we asked directions from poeple along the sterets specially barkers coz they know the city very well. Its is also cheaper if you book the room directly to them instead of agoda.

You wouldnt believe staying at such a spacious, clean and accessible stay in Cebu. Yes, until now I still can't help but amazed how they made our 4 night-stay great without any issues with the room nor the staff. Aside from that, the rate was unbelievably affordable. T'was twice cheaper than any other regular hotel room, without compromising the comfort and quality service. Check this out . :)

On My last few visit to Cebu , this is the place I stayed. On my First Few visit to Cebu , I stayed in Diplomat Hotel. Compare to the price you pay at Diplomat , I found this place to be best option. No Elevator , so request for lower Floor. Rooms and Toilets are very clean. Around 15 min walk from Robinson Mall and Mango Avenue. They don;t have online Booking system , they confirm booking by emails and always found they respect their confirmation. Few times I found "No Rooms" board on Entrance Door , since I had the email confirmation , immediately provided me with Room. They don't accept Credit Card only payment by Cash , thats one of the disadvantage . For Good Money Exchange in Cebu , I found a place - Diagonally opposite to Robinson , next to Mac Donalds there is a hotel which also has a Casino , there is a Money Exchange Counter at Lobby, that sometime provides better rate than Manila.
You can take Jeepney ride to Robinson ,Mango Ave or Ayala Mall for 7 Peso. Cebu City South Terminal is just 5 min Taxi ride from the Hotel. I generally Hop to Cebu on my way to Maolboal , Oslab , Tagbilaran.

My friends and i stayed here for one week and we were so glad we found a place that is clean and very nice. The staffs are trustworthy. We had an overnight stay in Bohol and we didnt bring all our luggages. We only brought the carry-ons and the luggage stayed at the pension house. We were praying that no items would be lost. As we came back from Bohol all our things even our trash were exactly on the same place just as we left them. Kudos to the staffs!
Robes is near to plenty of cafeterias or "carenderias" where you can have your meal if your in a tight budget. There are some laundry shops if you want your clothes to be cleaned after beach swimming.hehe. And bake shops as well. If im not mistaken the bake shops are open 24hrs if you want a very early breakfast for those who wants to go to oslob just like i did. It is also near to the bus terminal. You can walk from robes to the terminal. It is also near to different banks, crown regency and all sorts of places to eat. Oh and there are jeepneys that go straight to sm and ayala mall too. Just walk a couple of blocks to the main road. There you go.. All the possibilities if you stay at Robes.
P.S:they dont clean your room everyday so you have to request it.

Stayed there for 3 nights. There was a little stain on the bed sheet for the room that I stayed in. Aside from that, it’s really clean though. The staffs are polite enough. I don’t have any real complaints with my room. What I got was what has been endorsed to me. Well, everything except for the wifi. Yes, it’s there and I was able to use it for my whole stay. However, it’s not completely reliable. That means the connection gets lost sometimes. Don’t expect too that you’ll be able to stream movies with it. I actually tried it and the result is not promising. :D Light browsing is fine. They have different source of connection for every floor. I got a deluxe room on the third one and in that area, they have two sources. One near the stairs and the other one for rooms near the fire exit. So what I did whenever the connection gets slow, is to toggle it with other the other sources. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I think the ground floor rooms have the faster connection. They have hot shower, a cable TV, affordable breakfast which you can order from morning til’ 2pm. Their location is good for cabs but it’s not accessible for jeepneys. You’ll have to do a 8-10 minute walk to get them. I’ve also noticed that it’s not the only pension house on that area. Lots of them are even nearer to the streets where you can get public transportation. But overall, it’s good. It’s generally situated between Metro Supermarket and Robinson’s Place. Very near to Mango Avenue which is the nightlife capital of Cebu.

Their location is very near tourist spots in Cebu City. Accessible through all means of transportation. All of the staff are courteous, efficient and professional. The room provided to us was spacious, clean and well-maintained. Aircon and cable tv worked good. The beds was comfy and tidy. Though we were brought at the uppermost floor, the water supply was strong and the water heater worked good. Definitely choosing this place is value for money!

not the prettiest hotel i've ever staid in, but hey ! 900php a night in the 2nd city of the Phillies with operating shower/wifi/tv and a double bed. As often , very friendly staff. No complaints whatsoever. dunno Cebu enough to venture an opinion about the location . if u happen to want to visit the jumalon butterfly sanctuary , it's actually not far and can be reached in just ONE jeepney haul of 20-30' , it can also lead u 1 hour outta town in the opposite direction (done both obviously) . get WELL documented b4 u embark on this perilous journey !

Stayed here with a couple of friends last March (but only reviewing now).

Because I got to the hotel much earlier than the check-in time, there were still guests in the room that was reserved for me and my friends (they were arriving much later that day). The staff and the guard were kind enough to let me put my luggage in their storage area so I could go around the city until it was time I could go into the room. They even gave me a free bottle of mineral water.

PROS:
> The room was quite spacious for its price (there were 5 of us and the room cost P1,500 so individually, we paid P300/night).
> Good wifi. Then again, we stayed at the ground floor so it was close to the front desk's modem.
> The pillows, towels, and linens were clean and new. The bathroom had hot and cold shower.
> The air-conditioning was surprisingly good. It was a bit humid outside that day but we were shivering inside our room early in the morning!
> Accessible to a lot of tourist areas and malls.

CONS:
> Had a bit of trouble getting there at first because a lot of people I asked didn't know where it was located. (TIP: When asking around or riding a taxi, just tell them to go to Landon Street)

Overall, had a good stay here. Would definitely come back.
