Located near the busy hub of Fuente Osmena, this boutique hotel is a gem in the area.

The staff welcomes you warmly with their generous smiles & a welcome treat - a freshly-baked soft pastry w/custard filling that melts in your mouth w/ just enough sweetness to erase all your tiredness & makes you want to eat more. You may order these from the frontdesk as these come in fresh daily from the owner's bakeshop near the market. Try the cheeseroll too.

The rooms are aptly-sized. We got:
1 Single room (1 twin bed for 2pax, extra charge for 2nd pax)
1 Family room (1 single bed w/1 queen-sized bed for 3pax)
1 Double room (2 single beds for 2pax)

Rooms are very clean. Each room has a 19" flatscreen LCD TV w/cable channels, 1 long table for vanity's sake & enough to place your handbags & cosmetics, it also holds a tray w/a pitcher & glasses for your water needs (hot&cold water dispensers in the hallway has plenty of refillable water for the guests). Rooms also has bedside tables, warm lighting, a/c, small closet w/hangers. Toilet has basic toilettries, hot&cold shower. You have to make sure you request beforehand for a floormat to soak up the splashes from the shower but they will provide you with it once you request to make up room and they see that the floor's all wet. Nice attention there.

The staff is very attentive & helpful in their service: from email/ texting/ calling about our reservation & queries about their services; from check-in to check-out & all the details in-between.

They serve breakfast at at least Php150 per order. But you may opt to take a nice morning walk 2 blocks up to the known coffee shop by the corner or tge fastfoods across the coffee place.

Cabs are easily found in the area, we walked from Fuente circle back to the hotel & it was safe & quiet what with a reputable hospital nearby.

Massage service (no hanky panky) is also available for guests although we didn't get to try it. Deliveries from outside establoshments are encouraged, the frontdesk has flyers of different restaurants that offer quick delivery.

The rooms at Gran Tierra may not be as big as suites but our stay was sweet indeed.

I didn't want to be rude in making this review. But the receptionist (the one who wears eyeglasses all the time) in this suites was just getting into my nerves. Since from the moment I asked her thru text if it would it b ok if I would check in later than the regular check in time, I could already feel that she was impolite, but still I tried to be proper and mannered. Upon the moment I've checked in, she never greeted and even smile. During my 2 nights stay in this suites, I never felt any warm accommodation from the staff, esp. from the receptionist whom I always had to faced to in getting and leaving my room key. On the day of my check - out, she never gave a wake up call. She rang the phone 30 mins. after I supposed to check out, so I assumed that it would be ok that I could extend my stay up to for 2 hours or so, just to fix and prepare my things, but instead of giving me a kind explanation, it seemed that she was threatening me not checking out on time. She was rude, impolite, un-mannered, and feeling superior!!

Nevertheless, I like the facilities and the location.

I strongly suggest that the management should have their staff / employees trained very well, esp. in accommodating their guests.

I believe that people would really love to go back to the hotels they have stayed if they feel pleased and welcomed by the quality service from the staff.

So please, do something about it!

Clean, affordable and very accessible to most areas in Cebu! The staff is so welcoming and friendly.

While youre there, visit Pit Stop Restaurant too! It's just at the back of the hotel. Good food with fair price!

The location is good, walking distance to fuente. Their are nice restaurants nearby a block from the hotel are nice restaurants like bucket of shrimps, stk, etc
But if you want to commute by bus or jeep,it's quite far from the highway esp if its very hot. But if by taxi the hotel staff will help you get one.
The room is ok not so nice. Their cr is too small as well as their tv. My only problem is their cr is not so clean, theirs an insect in the cr living. Lol
Their receptionist is very unfriendly, doesnt greet or even smile. We booked here for 3 nights but we dont get any complimentary or an ungrade. On our 2nd day the staff transferred us to a family room because our room is already reserved to somebody yet we paid a much bigger price for the family roo
Doesn't even help us tranafer our things. Very unprofessional. Don't visit this place. There are lots of hotels nearby, new and clean hotels!!!!

We booked for 3 nights and paid one night in advance almost 2 weeks before our arrival to insure that we had our room reserved since we were arriving at 5am. I specifically informed them of our time of arrival.

When my husband and I arrived after a long flight, we discovered that our booking was cancelled. A BIG WHAT? The management did not even informed or confirmed it with us. The hotel was full and the girl at the reception left us hanging and was at a lost. Don't even have the decency to call or recommend another hotel. We have to surf the net ourselves to looked for another place to stay.

I booked for Grand Tierra because of the good reviews but instead received the worst treatment of all. I suggest to travellers to think twice before booking for this hotel.

This hotel sits right smack uptown Cebu. A safe, quiet and less crowded area. Only a few meters away from Cebu Doctors Hospital, The Provincial Capitol, the famous Cebu Larshian (Rows of BBQ stalls), Fuente Circle etc. You can easily go around the city since transportation is plenty (Jeepneys and Taxis).
Rooms are basic (a/c,cable tv,phone, hot and cold shower).
The only things that bothered me were the rather hard mattresses and curtains that didn't quite extend to cover the entire window. We checked in on a ground floor interior room and our only view was the firewall and the hotel's laundry area with rugs hanged on a clothesline.
They don't serve meals but they have a menu of several restaurants nearby you can call for delivery.
No laundry service, but there's a laundry shop about 50 meters away.
Generally, this is a nice place to stay. and contrary to the others who gave bad reviews about the staff. I found them to be actually courteous, polite and attentive. Will come back the next time I'm in Cebu.

First the positives. This hotel is near many places like Fuente Circle, NBI, Capital Site, Robinson's Cybergate. It's centrally located if you are planning to go south and north of Cebu. There are plenty of places to go as formentioned, most will cost you about 60 pesos to 130 pesos for places in Cebu City. In addition there are many fast food restraunts that deliver to the hotel for a fair price.

Grant Tierra Suites has very nice staff, from the reception desk to the hotel security; the entire staff was very friendly and delivered great services.

That bad.....while the staff is great the rooms and the location of the hotel itself has to be improved. I dont think managment can do much about the surrounding neighborhood, but it's in very poor condition with a number of people always standing by just looking at visitors come and go. I'm not sure if these people are working around the street or homeless, but the area is very dumpy....not an area I would want to walk around at night. There is also lots of trash on the streets, I even saw rats the size of a chihuahua running the streets there.

The outside view of our hotel room was an eye sore. Hanging clothes and a dirty building about 10 feet away; it would be better to enclose the windows or paint them or make them where you can see out, because its scary... Also, every morning some vagrant would wake us singing loud right outside our window...

The room. Well, not so clean for my standards. We were there for a while, and although the room was "cleaned daily" the furniture collected significant amounts of dust. We also had to request a few times that our dirty dishes be changed...the two worst things about the room was the hard bed and dirty bathroom. First the bed was so hard I am still having pain in my back. Don't be fooled, these beds are not firm, they are nearly rock hard....the bathroom was disgusting, mostly the shower. Any time you are more worried about what is getting on you than what you are washing off of you there is a major problem... there was mold and mildew all over the shower. I feared going in there everday as i tried not to touch the walls of the shower.

These a small fixes, but huge problems for Gran Tierra Suites. When I visit there again, I would not stay at this location, unless they change there ways of cleaning... at the same time keep up the great customer service.

I am writing this review just right after we ate the breakfast they (masama ang loob).
Ok I'll start with what they really are, a hotel. Goodpoints Accomodation is great for a room less than Php1000. The room has king size bed which you do not normally see in most hotels. It has modern design. The location is great because its in the heart of the city and near to almost everywhere. You can actually just walk to places tourists usually go to like Zubuchon and Larsian. They have a complimentary pastries that are super good, especially the cheese rolls.
Now, let's go to the disappointing part. The hotel does not have their own resto, they get their food delivered from a third party concessioneire. Breakfast meal cost Php110. This includes an instant coffee and an egg. I have attached the photo of the food that they served to us. Its up for you to judge if its worth what you pay for.
To the management of Gran Tierra, where ever you get your food service I think its time to change. What happened here will ruin your good reputation. What happened is like a scam. In the first place dont you check or inspect what this caterer serve to your customers? Dapat sa inyo palang nasasala na mga ganitong bagay kasi mali. You have to make sure you meet customer standards and in cases you did not then you should be willing to do something about it and not leave your guest no choice. Nakakadisappoint for people like us na first time sa Cebu.

Hello Sarah, They don't offer pick-up to guests but you can book a grabtaxi or take an airport taxi outside the arrival area (the hotel is near the Osmena Circle and 3 - min walk away from Bo's coffeeshop). They didn't charge us for early check - in, so I guess it's fine. 😉😃

Hi, they do accept walk-in guests as long as there is an available room. It would be better if you contact them for reservation.
