Noisy, cheap, no fridge. BUT, for about 700PHP for a double bed, hot shower, Free WiFi, Cable TV, Telephone, friendliness, security, location, in-house food, etc etc., it beats just about everything else in Old Cebu, even for about double the price range. Sure, it's a Pensionne style accommodation, but most locals and foreigners simply love the place. Me too.

Cockroaches everywhere! Awfully scary to be typing an email on your computer and a cockroach scampers across your hands! Damned irritating to wake up with a cockroach on your face! Ugh! Why can't they fumigate that place? Oh yes, let's talk about service. I like to have a coffee in the morning while i read the newspaper. So I ask the desk clerk to (there's a restaurant on the same floor as the lobby) to tell the kitchen to give me coffee first and then my breakfast 30 minutes later. But it never works out that way. The kitchen staff ALWAYS deliver both the coffee and the meal at the same time, and always with a very long delay. GRRR! (Is not hot water for coffee always available?). Jeez!

Originally intended to stay at the Sogo Hotel since I just wanted a place to sleep in coming from Manila near midnight. Sogo was booked and was being offered 2hr or a 3hr stay. I was told to try Cebu view which was a few steps away. I was also hesitant but they gave a 20% discount so why not?

The room was really clean and so was the bathroom. It was also a big room. If you would want a place in the downtown area and just needed a place to sleep, this is a good low-budget hotel.

Service is okay.

I stayed there on the bi-monthly rate in late January / early February. I was told the lobby, and 2nd floor only rooms have wi-fi, so I booked on the 2nd floor. Wi-fi in room was spotty, I had to position the computer a certain way only to pick up internet. The room was full of roaches and ants. I observed 4 species of roaches, and 2 species of ants. I went to nearby store and bought roach spray; this helped to some degree. Also the room had a mildew smell. They at first had put me in room 208, but it had an obvious water leak and the mildew stench was over powering. I moved over 1 room into 207 and it was less of a stench.
The matress was good, the a/c and plumbing in the room worked well; although you may need wait 3-4 minutes for the hot water to arrive. There was a nice menstrual stain on my matress.
Elsie at the front desk was very nice. Pablo the cook was nice too. If you stay there, go to the upper floors; 3,4, or 5. Check out the room first! You don't want to get to your next destination and find a small roach inside your laptop's keyboard, do you?

I was doubtful at first when I first saw the hotel entrance as it looked like a congested nook inside, but bell this is a spacious hotel being alone in the room. I also noticed that this hotel is being flocked by loads of Foreigners from every corner as well. Nice service but will not go back due to unpleasant experience.

I stayed at CebuViewTouristInn 2 nights as stayed in Cebu January 2008 during the Sinulog
The pension is located fine and has simple but confortable rooms. Our room with 2 beds we did paid about 700p and had a hot shower and Tv. Beds were quite confortable
for our purposes and had a great time there as having our last days at the Cebu City!
Our friends and relatives very often take a family room for their stay about a month there.
Would recommend that too. The price really isn`t bad at all. First we couldn`t have the aircon but it seemed to put on from the lobby. When get off and gave the key to the desk, also they swift off the aircon. That was it!

Hotel is very accessible using public transportation. We get to roam around the city just by walking and riding multicabs. We only paid around 600 per head for 2 nights stay, we are group of 4 and avail the Deluxe Family room at 2nd floor room 205. Vicinity is surrounded by lots of market and you can just walk around the tourist spots like Sto. Nino Church, Magellan's Cross and Fort San Pedro. If you want to visit the Taoist Temple you can ride a multicab going to Lahug and get off at Kinasudlon, you can hire a habal for 10php each to reach the Beverly Hills Subdivision where the Taoist temple is located. For us, we prefer to just walk it, around 10 minutes maybe. You may also visit the La Vie Parissienne
Anyway, one of the best deal on this hotel is they have a fast wifi without password, so you can surf 24/7. We'll recommend this hotel to our friends! Thanks!

I have been staying at the CEBUVIEW for the last 14 years or so. Sometime for a few days and sometime for several months. Each and every time I feel like part of the family and am so welcomed. It feels good.... the rooms are being upgraded floor by floor. I personally have always liked my room. But what the makes the Cebu view so special is the staff, the girls at the front desk always ready to help with everything, the room cleaning staff. Digoe the super fix it all man. and the kitchen staff that will prepare whats on the menu and if you want something special they will do it. I will be going back there in a few weeks i just left there on the 2 of March 2016
