Very nice stay on this hotel. Although bit aged, I like the place and the design of the small hotel. Food are good. Location is good, and nearby bus station and some good place to dine. It’s a nice hotel for business traveler and family.

I will recommend this place.

We stayed in this hotel Feb.13 to 20th 2011. Upon check-in, desk asked for payment verification. Gave debit card which I intended to use. Couldn't verify using a debit card
because it would bill immediately. Their solution was for us to settle account EVERY MORNING. Eventually appeased them with a credit card which we did not care to use.
THEN, after three days, the desk began to harrass us to settle the bill to that point.
They look you right in the face and suggest that you might skip out without paying, like
a common thief. Chinese owned and run. What did we expect? This may be common practice among the Chinese, but honest people are offended by such policies. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to be humiliated by local employees that couldn't afford one single night in the place!!! Seen the last of us!!

We stayed at 'Casa Leticia Boutique Hotel' after staying for one night in another, very disappointing hotel in Davao. Please see my other review for this.
I booked online through b....com just the night before. Upon check-in, the receptionist had everything printed out only asked me to provide my signature. I have booked and reserved with my credit card but wasn't required to produce any documents which resluted in probably the fastest check-in ever.

The room we stayed in (Superior Double) was clean, had a good minibar, small TV and a noisy mini Aircon which seems to be the standard model in Davao. The hotel is located right in the city center which is really convenient. There was barely any noise from outside, only the occasional door slamming from within the building. The mattresses are a bit soft but nothing to really complain about.

We would definitely stay here again. Good value for money and something you can bring your wife/girlfriend to if you are in Davao for any kind of activity. We were pleasantly surprised.

I definitely would not stay in this hotel again. I'm impressed with my first few experiences with Casa Leticia, but my recent dealings with the reception staff just put me off the hotel. This time, I made a personal choice not to make any reservation prior to my stay, but when I arrived to inquire about the room rates and availability, the front staff was just totally uninterested, unwelcoming and outright rude. Sorry but I got zero tolerance for this behavior especially after a long-haul flight. Staff training issues need to be addressed.

The ONLY way this hotel could be 3 stars is if the scale was 100, not 5! NO WAY is this a 3 star hotel!
I have traveled in over 15 countries and have spent the past 25 years traveling in the US on a weekly basis. This is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in, PERIOD!
First of all the hotel promotes free WiFi. It never worked. Not once. Every time I wanted to access the internet, I had to go to the lobby and have them “reset” the Wifi connection. Sometimes it worked, usually, I had to stay in the lobby. If you are a business traveler as I was, STAY AWAY! You will NEVER have a good connection. My phone on 3g was better than the internet connection in this hotel. They claim a “slow connection”. Not true, they just have terrible access and shut off modems to save money.
One thing you should expect from ANY hotel, even a 1 star hotel is hot water. Not here. EVERY DAY, I had to go complain about hot water. 30-45 minutes after complaining, it arrived. I am certain in the interest of saving power, they shut off the water heater at “off hours”. If you want hot water after 8am forget it unless you complain.
Let’s get even more basic, toilet paper. You would think a hotel would at least provide a day’s worth of toilet paper. On a daily basis we ran out because they brought in half used rolls from other rooms. DISGUSTING!!! I actually started taking rolls off the housekeeping cart and stashing in the room to assure we had enough UNUSED rolls!
Room location. I was there for 12 days. You would think a person staying that long would get a decent room. NOT!!! Outside our “view room” was of all the air conditioner condensers for the hotel (see photo). One of the units screeched so loud it would wake me in the middle of the night every time it turned on. In addition, the kitchen was located below our room under the air conditioner condensers with no roof. We heard the kitchen noise and kitchen workers every morning around 6am. It was not possible to get a nosier room. Sleeping directly under an airport runway would have been quieter.
Smell….. OMG! The kitchen was below with no ventilation. It poured directly into our room through the air conditioner unit in the wall. We knew what was for breakfast the night before and fish was always on the menu. If you appreciate the smell of a sewer, then no problem!
General Room Conditions. TERRIBLE! Not sure what room was used in the website photos, but my room did not resemble that photo in any way, shape or form. The light in the bathroom went out. After waiting 3 days, I had to remove the bulb and bring it to the front desk to replace. Then, instead of giving me a new one, they went into the room WHILE I WAITED IN THE LOBBY and entered my room with a DO NOT DISTURB door hanger, and scared the daylights out of my fiancé who was asleep in bed to replace. Are you SERIOUS!!! If that’s not enough, how about finding my car keys on the desk every day when they were secured in my suitcase when I left the room. We also noticed clothes being rearranged from where they were before we left. It was like being ransacked daily. The safe never worked so we lugged our valuables with us every day in fear of “disappearance”.
Breakfast. Another “amenity” of the hotel is free breakfast. ONLY if you eat before 9am. Even though it’s served until 10, if you show up after 9 everything is gone and you need to beg for food.
I could go on and on but no need. JUST AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. It would not be a good deal if the room was free!

Very unaccommodating, very snob receptionist....davao is such an over rate city to spread rumours that the locals are friendly and warm?i really don’t think so,especially with this hotel that are always saying NO we cant,NO we cannot do that etc etc. Such a customer service, they were not trained to do extra miles for their customers.

We thought we would give the Leticia Boutique pamper us based on their higher priced suite, but we found that this hotel was lacking any real reinvestment of the money they over charge guests not being reinvested in maintaining a quality and standard that the rate should provide. When we arrived they said we could not get a key card for our room and that we would receive a key card later in the day. Until then we had to always go to the front desk, wait for them to finish serving other customer registrations and such before they could make a call to the cleaning staff to open our door for us, and this was the way we had to enter our room every time. They could not capable of offering us our own room key card.

At night we heard load noises until near 11 pm coming from either outside the window sounding like maintenance, taping, and sweeping we thought. Then at 6 am one of the cleaning staff unlocked our door and attempted to swing it open while we were sleeping. Luckily we had the latch locked on the door, because it made a loud bang when it hit the latch stop startling us awake. We had the lower dead bolt locked as well.

They quickly disappeared as I woke and ran to the door to see who the hell was trying to get into our room: gone! Then we started hearing wake up alarms going off next door, then loud noises and laughing as well next door. So our morning was also off to a great start… Not what I expect from a higher priced suite hotel.

So we decided that we might as well get up and shower since we were wide awake now, only to find that there was no hot water in the shower taps. We called the front desk to find out why we had no warm water in the shower and they said they were working on it still. What kind of management does not tell their guests that they do not have hot water before they check in and pay for their room!

Plain and simple this place was over priced for what they offer. You can get twice the room at half the cost in better places like Cebu, easily. The hotel itself does seem aged in so many ways, from the elevator floor and door being worn and in need of update, to the ceilings and paint being rough looking in many areas. The room lighting was all secondary with no real bright lights. No matter how many lights you turned on it was dimly lit. Although, they had a light in the door closet!

The internet wifi was so slow throughout the evening it was literally a waste of time to even try to go online. They offered way less TV movie channels selections than the majority of places we have stayed, especially compared to lower priced places. This is not acceptable in a hotel that charges these kinds of rates. There was also no exhaust fan in the bathroom for showers, if they had warm water, or to remove odors.

We arrived for breakfast to find almost no fruit remaining, just scrapes and a couple of bananas. The bread I was selecting was dried out from sitting out so long. The rest of the buffet was average at best. The attendant did bring us glasses of water and remembered I liked coffee from our expensive lunch we had the day before. The lunch meal was tasty, but pricey.

They should be offering a product to customers that matches the prices, and they simply do not. I would not recommend staying here, certainly not at the prices they charge and the quality of the product offered to the guests. Time to reinvest some of those high customer prices they charge, investing back into your hotel.

Casa Leticia is a nice boutique hotel. Good location, a few steps from Apo View Hotel. Everybody, from the guard to the bellboy to the reception staff to the waiters,,, they are all very friendly, courteous and attentive to the guests. Rooms are a bit small. We are 6 in the family and we have to get two superior rooms with extra beds which make the rooms a bit cramped. Rooms are clean, linens are clean, beds and pillows are comfortable. Breakfast is not wow, but is not bad either. We had a very pleasant experience here.

The single room that i occupied was very homey. Though price was a bit high but it served me well. The bed was comfortable and the pillows as well. Room was also well maintained and clean. The only thing that needs improvement are the lightings. I traveled alone due to work so I have to bring working papers at the hotel but with the limited light inside the room, I was not able to do a thing. Internet is also low and sometimes not working.

The elevator was not working when i checked in but after a few hours, it was okay.

I booked the Presidential Suite months ago before our dated trip. It was my gift for my parent's anniversary. When we got there, the front desk offices said that the aircon of the room is not working and downgraded us to the regular room and offered us fruit basket (which we did not receive) and early check in. When I went to the room, I found out that the presidential suite is occupied and knew that they overlooked the booking. Oooh, the aircon is perfectly fine by the way because it is centralized! I hate that they lied to me and we have to transfer to a cheaper room. I felt discriminated because I booked through AGODA and I couldn't get a refund or anything. Also, the room that they gave us doe not have a nice view!!!
