After traveling amongst the Philippines we stayed at The Big House and we where exited to be here. We found some good rest within the beautiful garden and loved the clean room and helpful staff. We also loved the comfortable bed. Also have a look inside where you can find the pictures of the family who runs this great place. We can recommend this place to everybody.

Overall, excellent!

The people, room and especially the food was very good.
The owner, Ms. Abet was very accommodating and friendly. The staff, in kitchen and in the reception are all nice and kind. When it comes to the food, all the their food was great and delicious.

We will definitely come back at The Big House for future activities or meetings.

Warm hospitality, stress-free & homey ambiance, literally the Big House operationalizes the concept of "home away from home"...because, indeed, it is! I was referred to the Big House by a friend and since then I have referred it to others, as well. And I am glad I did as they have experienced themselves the same sincere welcome and really delicious home-cooked food. Cheers!

As paying guests, the owners did not treat us nice. They were extremely rude when we ordered for food and at one point insisted we stay inside our rooms. The staff on the other hand were really polite and the place is well kept. There are plenty of other places that can provide a better experience. Would not recommend.

I have rented their Isaac Room for 9 nights and Luzviminda room for only a night. If you'd ask which room is nicer for me, I would say Luzviminda because it is located on the second floor and there is a veranda connected to it with table and chairs where you can have lunch or dinner while enjoying the garden and street views. I've also rented their Lourdes room for my brother and his small family who visited us for just a night.

They cater parties for special occasions. During our stay, there were quite a few parties held. They also have a restaurant. We got free breakfast everyday. They serve American and Filipino foods. Their beef tapa was my favorite. Their Halo-halo is to die for! Hubby loved their Halo-halo so much that he even ordered it for his breakfast.

Their staff are very polite and attentive. If you are looking for an inn or a home away from from home near Ecoland and Sandawa in Davao City, check this place out. It is very close to NCCC Mall, SM Ecoland, Jollibee, McDonalds and Matina Town Square (MTS).

Wifi is really good.

We spent 4 days in Davao this winter and stayed at the Big House. A really charming home with beautiful rooms. Great food at the restaurant and definitely recommend to try the different favorite meals on the menu throughout the stay, nice staff and always ready to help in a typical philippines fashion. Restaurant with a nice view on a large garden.

great place from which to explore the city and come back.

Is their restaurant open for non guest? If so do they serve breakfast?
Answer from Cecilia J

Their restaurant is open breakfast, lunch and dinner for non-guests and I've often just dropped by solo or with friends! For breakfast, they usually serve meal sets and they're good, served usually with coffee done in a French press.
