Stayed here with a family of seven including 3 children. We could not fault the staff they were all so polite and nothing was a bother. They all made us felt welcome and making us wanting to return if were are back in the Philippines. The grounds were immaculate and beautiful to look at. Very invited sitting on the well manicured lawn to be one with nature. The water fall was well loved by the 3 years old in the group. Some of the rooms need updating we had the Premium Room with pool view which we were happy with.. Breakfast was great lots to choose from. I would definitely recommend this hotel .

Place is runs down and ill kept. Hot Water poor, smelly hallway. Dark hallway and rooms. Rooms are not welcoming with air condition that lacks cooling. Toilets are stained. And leaking. Forget about a Wash cloth. Restaurant staff at breakfast time was rude. We were there at the appointed time but she said they were not open. I said at least Let us sit inside so we are not out in the heat but she ignored us.

Positives - good location, good food with a lot of variety and outside of hotel is impressive. Negatives - room was dilapidated and unkept. Walls, sink, bathroom had black mold? all over. Bidet leaks.

Stayed for 2 nights for work. Most of the hotels were fully booked so we had to settle for this one. The property may have once been gorgeous but no renovation on the buildings and amenities. Pro: gardens and the property is beautiful. Cons: no lift, ramps or escalator - moldy smell and dilapidated

First, I would like to thank the Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao, we had a great stay. We really enjoyed our stay. Food was great. Buffet breakfast was great. There were plenty of choices. They also had this restaurant La Parilla and Cafe Uno where you may eat your lunch or dinner. Room was clean and huge, bed was comfy, AC was great, bidet and shower were also great. The staffs were all very nice and accommodating. We'll definitely come back!

Cons; the room amenities are outdated; AC is not working properly as well as the hot shower; bed bugs . Pros; accommodating staff; great spa services and the food is excellent. Overall, we were disappointed with our stay and did not met our expected vacation.

The hotel is old and you would experience its age. The room is dusty — from thr A/C, to the bed frame, to the chair, the CR; almost everywhere. The A/C isnt working well. You need to set it in max to make your room cool. The shower heater isnt working. Out of the five nights I stayed, showered twice in the morning with cold water. The exhaust in the CR is also not working. Expect that your towels and wet clothes won’t dry up. Sockets are not closely located to the bed. Wifi in the room is close to none — you would have connection just near your door. Wifi in public places are also intermittent. Don’t be surprised if you couldnt send an email for a few mins. Staff isnt helpful and friendly. You would only encounter VERY few staff who are friendly and polite. Do not expect anyone to help you with your luggage when you need to lift it up or down the few steps to enter or exit the hotel — unless you are a foreigner. Witnessed this. They just don’t care and would continue chatting there. Breakfast menu is just the same every day. Imagine if you would be eating the same set of food for five days. Better be strategic. Overall, look for better options to get your money’s worth.…

the hotel is very spacious and the plants are beautiful to look at and the sea is beautiful to look at and it's very windy. I'm happy Cheryl Lejarso was very kind to me and provided what I needed in the room. wish I could live in the waterfront hotel again and see the beautiful plants and see the sea again.🙂

For a very reasonable price, we stayed in a large clean room, with a huge shaded balcony looking over the palms and pool. Strong security and friendly, very helpful staff. For example, GM from the pool restaurant took time to help us find the change room and made us feel comfortable with the pool and area. That pool is a classic. It is 10 feet deep, a rarity today, and huge. There is a large beach, if you like sunbathing. Our room included breakfast with many classic Philippine dishes that my partner appreciated and enough variety to meet my needs. It is not perfect, but for price, the service, and security, we will be coming back for our next stay in Davao.
