Sometimes I wonder if the people who own hotels ever stay in them.

There's three or four basic non-luxury things any hotel needs in order to make the guest's stay pleasant. They don't really cost money, but they take some thinking about the guest's needs.

1) Outlet near the bed. This is essential by 2013. I need to charge my phone at night. My phone is also my clock, and I need to set the alarm to wake up. But the only outlet is all the way on the other side of the room. What am I supposed to do? So easy for the hotel to just install an extension cord or new outlet if they had thought about the guest, but just hasn't been done. I asked for an extension cord, and they were happy to lend me one, but it was short and still didn't reach across the room.

2) Shelf in the bathroom. Another super easy one. Where am I supposed to put all my shower/toiletry stuff? My contacts, my hairbrush, my toothbrush. Can't stand this. Have to cram it all into the tiny ledge of the sink, but then constantly knocking it off. Just a no-brainer.

3) Lightswitch, or lamp near the bed. Most hotels have this nowadays. But here you have to turn off the light near the door, then stumble across the pitch-black room to the bed. Make sure you don't leave anything on the floor, or have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

4) A desk would have been nice. If you want to get work done here, as I did, you either have to lie on your bed with the computer cord stretched across the room (can't sit, because again, the outlet issue), or go to the lobby (but no outlets there either).

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, so there's no issues there. Location is very good. Laundry service would be nice - they recommended a place down the street, but that place didn't have express service. Not critical. Just a few simple, cheap improvements would have made this a perfect, affordable place to stay.

A nice, clean and small budget hotel with no frills. Very eco-friendly place which suits me fine. Staff are courteous and friendly. The beds are comfy although it would be nice if they could put a light switch near the bed so one didn't have to get up to turn off the lights. Location is good. I would stay in this inn again next time.

I arrived at the hotel before the check in time of 2pm and when I asked if I can already check in since my room was already available they told me that I have to pay for an early check in other hotel will allow you to have an early check in at no cost at all as long as the room were ready considering that I came all the way from manila with an early flight and they are inconsiderate! The staffs are terrible too! Will definitely not recommend this place.

The place is really good.Still in the category of budget accommodation but with a modern appeal.Well,it's new.I think they've been around for a year or less.I like these new budget accommodations sprouting all over the country, they are chick and cheap. We had our room for 1,420 pesos.

Their rooms are a little small but the bed is really nice.Queen size, clean and soft sheets plus.Parang 5-star bed.I had a very good sleep. I noticed that the sockets are mismatch with location of the bed.
You don't have any table to place your gadgets should you have to charge em.

Midori Inn is a member of Green Hotels Association.Meaning, they have a commitment of serving and saving the planet.Water conservations, energy efficiency and stuff.

There is one weird notice that I saw at the reception area though. It says "we value the sanctity of marriage.umarried couples will not be accommodated by the establishment".Good thing they didn't ask for our marriage certificate coz we didn't bring ours.haha

I highly recommend Midori Inn,it's walking distance from the People's Park, actually around three blocks away so it's a good setoff point to any destination in the city.

We stayed here after our stay at Pearl Farm resort and we were extremely happy that this is the place we chose.
There are 2 Midori inn and we stayed in the one located at Gov. Duterte St. (Former Bagobo house hotel) the place feels new or newly renovated. It is beside Golden Brown restaurant and Barrio Bistro and few steps away from Gaisano supermarket, fast-food like Jollibee and several restaurants like Dencia' s. People's park and Apo view hotel are walking distance and Bankerohan is one ride away.
We stayed in their spacious triple room where The bed is firm (the way I like my bed to be)and pillows are clean and fluffy. There is a strong Wi-Fi, The aircon in our room didn't feel too cold as we checked in in the afternoon so we requested an electric fan just to make the room colder and they were okay with that. There was no lift but don't worry because the staff will help you with the luggages and it's only a short flight of stairs. At the lobby there is a hot and cold water dispenser and comfort room perfect after check out or before check-in.
One of the best things about the hotel are the staff . The woman I forgot her name, she brought us the fan and water in the room and also Oliver who volunteered to pack the fruits we bought. Stay in this hotel in downtown and you won't go wrong. We booked directly by calling their number. I attached a screenshot of their flier and a picture of Oliver

Rooms are spotless and clean and budget friendly. There is no elevator though and i think it had 4 floors. It comes with breakfast which you should order the night before. Conveniently located, near the park, church, mall public transpo/ taxi.
