Jacuzzi is freezing cold. Bathroom is made of plastic and very gross and old. Buffet breakfast at 500 pesos is completely inedible garbage. I had one mouthful of waffle, everything else ranges from poor to extremely poor. Front desk staff are extremely slow and uninterested. Juice at buffet is fake and warm. Water at the buffet is undrinkable and warm. They have a toaster but no breads. Location next to Gmall is great. Don't stay here and do not ever pay for breakfast to be included it's a rort. Update to this review same day: Staff are horrible. They confiscated my beers I bought in 7/11 demanding I pay the hotel money to keep them. Six small cans of beer. What a joke and a scam
I am in a wheelchair,I was very nervous b4 I came to Phillipnes but the staff in the hotel was so helpful, we arrived at 1030 pm and unable to enter in the bathroom, the staff took the door out and I was so happy to have access to the bathroom. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. The Manager Catherine is fab on the ball, if u request any job to be done, she ensures it is done
The place was undoubtedly clean from the moment you enter the hotel and the room was also spacious. The food was great; breakfast had a wide variety of options. But the overall experience was frustrating. I initially visited the hotel nearly a month prior booking just to check out the rooms, and I was told by the staff that it was possible to choose and reserve a room of my choice on my preferred date/s and so I did. On the day we arrived, to my dismay, the receptionist just told us that the room we chose was under maintenance due to the fact that they had to do some repainting, so we had to wait till they finally gave us a different room. A few employees were friendly and accommodating, but you’d barely see a welcoming staff with a smile on their face hence it generally wasn’t an amiable atmosphere. My husband was also sick and was having fever, but we were kinda relieved knowing that they have this little clinic near the hallway. To our disappointment again, we were informed that the clinic was closed because nobody was on duty. …
Love this hotel. Discovered it purely by chance but the location is perfect for us and close to the shopping mall and local restaurants. The staff are all just lovely, so friendly and helpful. The room is nice, clean and tidy with good size fridge for storing cold drinks etc. Good selection of food for breakfast and service excellent. Wifi can be a bit frustrating but if you ask at reception they can help log you in and we had no problems during our stay. This hotel is not 5 star but it is friendly, central and great value. We have nothing negative to say about the Pinnacle and will definitely be staying here on future visits.
Billed as is the best hotel in Davao, it is very nice by Davao standards but those who have stayed at five-star hotels in Manila (Shangri-La, Peninsula, etc.) would likely be surprised by the description. It is an average hotel. The lighting is poor, esp. in the bathroom (which is rather small and only had a shower, not a tub). The reception desk employees had a bit of an attitude, but the bellboys were wonderful, as were the restaurant employees. The breakfast buffet was excellent -- a great spread of local delicacies. I loved the fresh taho (silken tofu), and Filipino pastries. Overall, a decent hotel and good location near a mall.
Attention to the General Manager! We have an event this coming 20th & 21st of November hence we did the booking through our attendees recommendation thinking that this hotel would be flexible to our slight request to our event requirements. We do not have any problem with the payment but at least consider our requests and suggestions to what is our preferred set up as we are not asking to any additional things except just set it up according to our preferred choice. I am also a hotelier with 25 years of experience in a luxurious hotels (5 & 7 Star) in Philippines and abroad, so I was very surprised of your inflexibility with your client's request who do not even ask for a discounted rate except flexibility of our requests. This will be our first and last stay and event with your hotel and believe or not, I will spread this bad experience of mine to everyone!!!! I will ask my colleague who will be staying with you in 2 weeks time how's their experience with you.…
I decided to stay at The Pinnacle Hotel and Suites primarily because it was only a few minutes away from our Davao office. Armed with zero expectations, I was simply blown away by the staff’s warm hospitality and the hotel's killer food selection. Hotels are notorious for serving mediocre food at unjustifiable prices which was why I was surprised to have tasted the best Calamares I’ve had in my life via their room service! Priced at P320, their Crispy Calamares Fritto were beautiful golden brown squid rings that were simply perfect. I honestly just expected them to deep-fry frozen boxed calamari from the supermarket; but theirs featured thick crunchy squid rings delicately clothed in a light crisp batter. Mom ordered their Leche Flan (P185) and was blown away with how smooth and rich theirs were. If the quality of their room service fare was this good, imagine how much better these would be dined in their restaurant! Unfortunately, we were too hungry to snap proper photos of our room service fare, so allow me to compensate for this with photos from their equally impressive breakfast buffet. Despite being a boutique hotel, the hotel’s breakfast can easily compete with those found in fancier hotels when it comes to variety in selection and food quality. Dishes such as Sliced Beef in Oyster Sauce and Lechon Kawali are served alongside your typical waffles and eggs. The Chicken Inasal and its omelette from their egg station were definite standouts. The buffet also offered unlimited rounds of refreshing fruit juices, and swapped the ubiquitous Arroz Caldo for some hearty Chicken Mami and Seafood Soup. It also serveed up freshly made kakanin next to their pastry selection. I adore taho, so I was ecstatic when I saw that it was being served in the buffet. Apart from making the beancurd incredibly silky, the restaurant took it up a notch by topping it with some fresh langka!…
The location is very ideal. It’s just near Gaisano Mall. There are cafes, restaurants and massage parlors nearby. Taxis often pass by this place, so it was never difficult for us to get a cab. The lobby is spacious and welcoming. The staff are accommodating. The superior room is very suitable for my needs. There’s a writing desk, electric water heater, hair dryer, hot and cold shower, functional air-conditioner, and refrigerator. The room is very well-lighted which is perfect for reading. I haven’t noticed any water dispensers in the hall. But they have provided us with clean purified water in a pitcher. The bed and the pillows are clean and comfortable. My colleagues and I even commented that the lighting, the cool air conditioner, and the comfy bed is suitable for a good night’s sleep. I’d like to note that well-lighted rooms are a plus points for me. …
Stayed for 3 days /2 nights with the family. Nice enough rooms but done up on a budget. The was a hole on the ceiling and there was live wire behind our headboard. The pool was not open when we stayed but there was no mention of that when we came up to see the place prior to booking. Great Filipino breakfast. There was an event in the hotel mezzanine on our first night and I was meeting up with a few friends at the hotel lobby, the music was blaring we can’t have a conversation. We eventually asked one of the door men if the doors to the mezzanine can be shut ( which they thankfully did) .
The hotel is located in the central of Davao. My experience of the hotel is excellent because the room is clean and the hotel staff are very helpful. They are also good at recommending tourist places to visit. I would like to thank our private hotel driver/ guide, Ronnie, for making our Davao-tour enjoyable. I would love to come back again next time.
