If you're looking for a cheap yet a comfortable place to stay in Davao City, then this is the place to stay. They give special discounts for longterm-staying guests. They have very accommodating and friendly staffs.

The place to stay if you are on a tight budget...

My first impression of the Big Apple was slightly negative, my room was down a corridor and seemed quite basic with no working in room wifi,, but it was only meant to be for a few days. After 3 days my visit to Davao was extended and so I extended my stay in the hotel, Staff then moved me upstairs to a room next to the coffee shop which had in room wifi, but suffered from noise from the bar directly below.
Breakfast was ok, and they call your room at 9 am to remind you about breakfast.
The hotel bar is quiet often empty, but this is often hired out for private functions, so you can return to hotel in evening and want a cool drink only to find bar closed as function taking place.
When these functions are on room directly above suffer from noise.
During my 2 weeks there, the hotel regularly suffered brownouts, leaving rooms stuffy and hot with no AC , on one occasion they came round with flashlights for the night. Pity no back up generator providing just lights or fan to rooms.
Staff are good and attentive and very helpful.
The hotel is 5 -10 minutes walk from 24 hour McDonalds and 15 minutes walk from SM Lanang,
If heading to Mcdonalds there are bike taxi which carry around 10 people and charge 7 peso, to SM a taxi would cost around 60 peso.
Hotel is a good place if you stay in Davao or stopping off on way to Samal island.

The room is quite comfortable the staff friendly and quite helpful, the only thing I was not happy about was the bathroom. It is close to airport but not to close to get the aircraft disrupting you at night or early in morning. Restaurants a plenty at the end of the street and shopping close not far by taxi, check with locals regarding some restaurants especially the seafood restaurants.

We stayed here last December 21. Well, not bad for the price supposed to be but I was not impressed. Checked in time is I guess 12 pm but we arrived early like 6:30 AM and we needed a place to rest so we decided to check in. I asked if we can check in early and ill pay extra like charge for half the price. The front desk said its ok but I was charge for almost a day for that time 6:30 am to check in time 12 pm I think. Hmmm... not planning to come back here :(

Stayed 10 days back in March. Very quiet very nice hotel, Breakfast was excellent and was on the top floor overlooking part of the city. The staff was very nice and the rooms were clean, I did find it odd that they asked for the key every time we left and you are not allowed to take Durian inside, which was understandable. I would and will stay here again and will recommend this place to anyone traveling to Davao.

The rooms' lighting is too dim. The carpet is so dirty it will mark your feet when you step on barefoot so don't let your kids walk on barefoot and play on the floor. Perhaps the awful smell came from the carpet. Breakfast is good, served with platter of fruits. The elevator was broken so we took the stairs. The hotel is conveniently close to some shops and stores. Nice experience though and if you're in a budget it's good to consider.
