I have heard lots of good things about Bondi and Bourke restaurant but living in Davao do not know anyone who has stayed at the Bourke Hotel, same owner as the restaurant. To break up the monotony of COVID we booked a room for one night at The Bourke Hotel so as to get away within in our city. Greeted by a very contemporary reception was efficient front desk. A James Bond style elevator took us to our floor and we were pleasantly surprised with the room as well as amenities. Clean, modern, fresh feeling and felt
The rooms are tasteful, well-appointed, and well maintained. You'll find the space well organized with a large desk for work, large flat screen tv (with cable and Netflix), generous storage spaces, a very comfortable bed, excellent air-con, a small fridge. The perks - an expresso machine - nice to have a perfect cup of coffee first up in the morning. Patrick, the owner, and his staff are so generous with their time and efforts. This hotel is committed to making your stay comfortable and providing you with all you need. The hotel sits behind Davao's best restaurant, Bourke & Bondi (Patrick is also the owner/chef) - and you can get the food delivered to your room. Breakfast is usually served in a satellite restaurant located in the compound called the Bramble. Just a word on this place - amazing food - great bakery - great for breakfast - they also make food for delivery.…
I have been visiting my father in Davao for the past 3 years. This has been at the start, a harrowing experience; changing hotels 2-3 times a day until I came across The Bourke. I have been to the RedDoorz, the Mandaya's, and Marco Polo's of Davao and nothing compares to the service, comfort and convenience of The Bourke. It is a relatively small property, so no rooftop pool here, however what I found here is consistency, courtesy and comfort. The rooms are immaculately clean and unique. The staff accommodating and genuinely friendly. The F&B options are exceptional for breakfast, lunch or dinner (not your typical hotel restaurants). This however comes at a price - The Bourke is more pricey than the majority of the comp set. But I believe it is worth it. I've paid slightly less staying at Mandaya/Apo View, and more staying at Marco Polo, and without a doubt The Bourke was the best experience for the money.…
Yes the words in the title were carefully chosen since each one of them was truly earned. Let me walk you through my first impressions because they do matter. You're transported to a whole new world as soon as you enter the gates. Think Europe and even if you haven't been you'd sense it. Glitzy restaurants all along the courtyard like a thoughtfully appointed lady :-). The rooms are expansive by any standards. Furnishings are chique, furniture is cosy, beds are large, the television is a mammoth (60") Sony. Verdant plants in wicker baskets, ceramic soap and shampoo dispensers, slip proof shower flooring and a large showerhead. The colour tones in the room complement the dark woodwork given it a very welcoming and earthy feel and the air conditioners work!!!Service is incredible and they're at your door within 1.5 minutes and there's absolutely nothing they won't do. If you ever visit Davao, The Bourke hotel is the only hotel you should ever consider. I've intentionally not added reviews of their restaurants because I want you to discover the treasures:-)…
This boutique hotel in Davao is very with it. Has all you could possibly want whether on business or pleasure. Friendly staff in all areas who make you feel relaxed and part of the family. Patrick and his staff have the perfect combination of excellent food and amenities. The only hotel I stay when in Davao. You won't be disappointed.
The Bourke hotel is a bit of an island in a city I'd not spend a ton of time in. What truly makes this hotel stand out is the ownership and the staff. There is nothing they won't do to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. From arranging a driver for a day trip, to getting laundry done, to creating space at the number 1 restaurant in Davao for Valentine's day Patrick and his staff went out of their way to make a difference. My room was sizable, the desk functional, the bed comfortable. Upgrades could be made to the bathroom including hot water for shaving (it was good enough in the shower but nonexistant in the sink.) I didn't watch tv but the one on the wall was sizable enough. Breakfast was tasty and flat whites were included in the price! All in all a very comfortable, worthwhile experience. If you're looking to avoid the chains and support a more local environment, this is a great option and at a very reasonable price. …
Thank you to the staff of The Bourke for making our birthday extra special. Everything was wonderful. They make you feel right at home. Also, we highly recommend the food at Bramble. Super SARAP!!! We wish we could've sampled everything on the menu before we left. Sulit!
Stayed here for 4 nights for work, conveniently located. Nice sized room, with all the amenities. Staff where pleasant, helpful and attentive. Great little restaurant, bakery, bar, cafe on the grounds. Will be back here to stay again.
Word of mouth led us to The Bourke. Upon cheking in, we were welcomed by the Manager and Owner. Hotel staff are very attentive and delivered exceptional service. Room is clean & modern. Breakfast was amazing...best place to introduce Australian food and coffee to the locals (Davaoeños). Definitely staying here again
I didn't booked ahead of time and try my luck for any availability as a walk-in guest. I know this place as Legaspi long time ago and the transformation is AMAZING!!! I stayed for a night and to tell you, I want to make it longer. The staff in the lobby, housekeeping and in the restaurant is just so hospitable. Will surely be back soon with family and friends. Thank you everyone.
