We stayed on deluxe room with direct access to semi private pool space. The ambiance is nice, The CR is clean, they have all the basic things in a hotel, but the food in their resto is the worst I tried in a hotel. The pork ribs was over cooked and very chewy, and the lasagna is cold in the inside. You will feel that it is sitting there in a while. When I asked them to atleast microwave it since I do not want to waste food since it is quite pricey as well, they are laughing when bringing a different lasagna to us. It looked like a left over lasagna of previous customers. I reached out to them regarding my food and they didn't have a single bit of concern for my experience on their food. Especially that they strictly do not allow outside food. They just want you to pay. I have a feeling during our stay that their goal is on what we will pay and not on our vacation experience. I just asked for a bucket of ice and the tone of the reception is that if you want something you should pay for it. 50 pesos? They need to tell me that I need to pay 50 pesos for ice when I paid for 2 nights of 10k each on their room. Overall my stay is nice not because of the resort crew, not because of their not so good food, but because we tried to have fun on our own with the limited things we can enjoy during our stay.

Room Tip: Avoid eating at their resto. Just drive and eat outside since the city is just near the resort.

Given that this place is for Filipinos, it would usually get rated 5 I suspect, and I've given a 4 simply because as a Westerner, I expected such a resort would be more inclusive. We attended a wedding here and the location and facilities were perfect for this - even the church was only 5 mins away. The rooms were lovely and clean, with everything you'd expect, and aside from a couple of dogs it was so quiet we could hear the waves on the beach. Booking was difficult because there is no online portal for credit card transactions, only a bank account number. I needed a local friend to make the booking on our behalf. I already know that Filipino food is meat based, but was disappointed at the extreme lack of options in the two restaurants for anything without. I'm not vegan, and was momentarily relieved to see a plant based menu which meant I would be able to choose from more than minestrone soup with garlic bread, but it was unavailable for the 3 days we spent over a weekend. Even at breakfast, I was restricted to rice and fruit because there was no extension cord for the toaster in the overflow restaurant.

The resort is really nice, BUT I have noticed some health hazards. I love pets, as everyone in our family takes care of dogs, but I hope the hotel will strictly enforce a policy that does not allow pets to roam around without wearing diapers. Most parts of the hotel smell like dog urine, especially the restaurants. There is dog feces on the beach, which is disgusting. Kids run around the beach and could accidentally step on it. It’s important to be aware that dog waste can contain parasites that easily affect the health of babies and toddlers. Additionally, the breakfast for kids offers very limited choices, and charging for hot chocolate drinks for kids seems unjustifiable. There is no white bread available, and the exposed cereal is not ideal. The menu lacks a dedicated kids’ section, which is disappointing since families often visit beaches for their children. The water dispensers on each floor are frequently out of water, which is inconvenient. Moreover, the shampoo and body soap in our room contain water, raising concerns about their sanitation. The cable TV has been repeatedly malfunctioning, suggesting that multiple technicians have entered our room. The coffee cups are stained and unclean. All I keep hearing is that they will speak to the housekeeper about these issues.

Our room was great. This is actually the 3rd time we stayed in this hotel. BUT... we literally saw 3 mice in the room. I called the lobby and they sent 2 guys to look for the mice. My kid and yaya ate 2 of the free snacks that they served in the room while waiting for them to finish their work. We spent big part of the afternoon relocating our stuff to avoid the mice going to our stuff and to my kid's snacks. I eventually asked the Receptionist if they can transfer us to another room, which they agreed. I just think that they should have offered it first the moment they found out of the situation. (What? No free upgrades? Just kidding.) Anyway, funny that when we moved to the new room, the housekeeper removed the free snacks there in front of us and mentioned that my kid already ate the one from the previous room. I just think that what he said and did was done in poor taste considering that we moved because of the mice situation. Another thing that we didn't like was the breakfast selection. I think they missed the basic food served for breakfast. None of these were served - corned beef, hotdogs or sausages, bacon, tocino, longganisa, etc. Just adobo, pancakes, salad, eggs and bread, if I remember correctly. There were other dishes too but it's not breakfast food. Maybe the food was okay for others but I expected more from Aureo. Aureo is a great hotel. I will still recommend this hotel to friends and family. Porter guys and the guards were the friendliest too. I just think that you should improve on your other services. That's all.

I went to Aureo last minute due to issues with safety in my previous LU resort. I was glad to see that Aureo was very safe with 24/7 staff and security. The price is also more worth it given the higher quality hotel rooms and facilities. The lobby staff were all very nice and welcoming, which made my stay a lot more pleasant. The beach and pools were also very nice. There's so much you can do in the property so it's very entertaining and comfortable for all kinds of travelers. A few downsides: Food was quite overpriced considering its taste and quality. I wish they could re-assess their menu so the price would be more worth it. I also noticed the lack of sound-proofing in the rooms since footsteps and conversations outside the room could easily be heard. I even heard someone coughing from the next room. Hope they could address this.

Their beachfront room is nice. But serving ALL-processed food for breakfast is not so nice. Big thanks to Ms. Pearlyn and Mr. Eugene for their awesome service. They were aware of the issue and were kind enough to offer a real meal for my nephew.

My family, along with some officemates stayed at Aureo La Union for 2 nights last June. The beach front view is really good, hotel also has pools which my daughter really enjoyed. Food is not good, and restaurant is understaffed. Buffet choices are so limited, seats and tables are full. Some guests started to pick up their used plates and leave it near buffet area because they lacked staff. There are also lots of flies in the restaurant. They have 2 restaurants and both have the same poor service. Price of food is too expensive, given that the food does not taste good. You get better value for money in eating at a fast food restaurant than theirs. Hotel Service is also poor, they called one of our companions while they were resting in their hotel room and accused them of smoking inside the room. When my family checked out, we were accused of eating a Kitkat and was being asked to pay for it. Another officemate was accused of taking a small towel, when in fact the small towel they were looking for is inside the shower room. Linens used in the bed and towels are slightly overused, especially the towels.

Stayed at a poolside villa, traveling as a family with a toddler. Aside from a clean beach front with fine sand, they have at least 6 other pools to enjoy. My kid had fun at enjoyed all of them. Pros: -Very spacious cabin with lots of conveniences, such a big patio/lanai to keep wet things outside after coming from swimming, lots of drawers, small sofa that could easily double up as a spare bed for a small-sized person, etc. -Pleasant surprise in the room to commemorate our celebration. -Food offerings at both in-house restaurants are delicious (paid food only, the complimentary breakfast is just so-so). -Spacious and free parking. Cons: -Some facilities are starting to show they their age or poor build quality. Missing tiles in the pools, cracked stone floors near the pools, could cause cuts and wounds. Busted showers, and lack of foot baths near the beach front makes returning to the resort from the sand inconvenient. -Most members of the staff were polite and helpful, but some were clearly irritable. -Our bathroom would occasionally have sewage-like smells coming from the drainages.

There are good and bad things to say but overall, the family’s stay was pleasant. The Hotel perse is a just a tad bit below what they project it to be. It’s not that spectacular and not that shabby as well. Though the family slept well during our 2-night stay and the facility in the room is at par. Staff are accommodating but there are some that are probably not that attentive, maybe because the time we were there the resort is packed. As for the food at diner, it’s a bit pricey considering the quality. I think the taste is so-so, there is a lot of improvement there either on the menu item or the Chefs. To be fair, we haven’t really tried everything on the menu, maybe there are items we missed ordering which they probably boast of so I could be wrong. Now the buffet breakfast is a bit below par. There was no item that stands out and not much to choose from. Common items, Steamed and fried rice, eggs of your choice of preparation, toast, fried items, etc. There was no item that I really want to come back for seconds. This could all be because the place is really packed and fully booked. They may probably have to improve on this during over booked seasons. On a good note, there are a plenty swimming pool variations which I think we enjoyed the most. The streaming pool was enjoyable. Though its was raining on the first day we were able to enjoy the next sunny morning.

For a 5 star resort hotel very disappointed from check in to services. Check in experience no description given about the room its view etc only told the size of the bed, services spa always no receptionist, tried to book since day 1 to no avail. room services i have to dial 5-6x in 15min before someone answered. It seems they lack manpower. Room batroom and comfort locks not working.Switch on makeup room sign early morning and i have to call in the afternoon since no one came. Breakfast is very ordinary no waffle or pancake station, noodle or chinese/japanese food station and no pastries as expected compared to other premium hotels not worth your money. Although its loop pool is good for pics and its beach front is clean and sandy for that i give 2 star instead of 1. Its just that if your paying premium rates you expect premium service.
