Pros - Place is very nice and huge; I enjoyed the original lap pool as almost no one was swimming, everyone was in the lagoon pool. The villa is nice and has a veranda where you can sit, relax and eat snacks while looking over the pool/beach. Beach area is nice, sand is soft.

We had dinner @their restaurant and the serving was surprisingly big. We really enjoyed the food ambiance; there was a band playing which also added to the ambiance.

Love the jar with water instead of the complimentary bottled water.

Bed and pillows were comfortable.

Staff is very accommodating; Very considerate staff as they prepared a simple birthday setup in the room for our mom;

Also would like to commend the staff on the weekend of March 8 - March 9, special mention to Rohit for going the extra mile in checking if there will be an available massage schedule for my parents because it was fully booked.

Cons - Breakfast was just ok; spread was limited; Flies were around the resto and also one annoying fly in the room. Checkin time is at 3pm; Further from san juan surf spot, which can either be a pro/con.

Overall we loved our stay. Thank you.

Things didn’t start out well . Deluxe room on the topmost floor . Way off from what I intended to be a swim up room , or a villa to say the least. That’s how popular this place is. AC temperature is way too warm. Resort was fully booked to get upgrade or at least transfer. Can’t repair the air conditioning, temp was max low. I requested for a stand fan but several guests outdid me so I had no unit available. Ended up with poor sleep quality.
Now with the good stuff ..
The rooms had good lighting. Clean.
Toilet separate from the bath shower, which is good when one is in a hurry.
Welcome amenities, noodles and chips. Including a note from the higher ups.
Eco friendly atmosphere, with a water dispenser on the ground floor
Health and safety conscious vibes in effect. Heated pools everywhere, slides , lazy river
Beachfront.. and everything else
Dining ease with 2 restaurants, and they even had gimmicks such as a beach date type of culinary experience
Sumptuous buffet breakfast with a matching ambiance
Staff service was really good. My spouse had all praises for almost everyone she encountered. The demeanour, attitude , everything. Front desk , bell and restaurant personnel. Even housekeeping and security.
My own special thanks to Rozzi and Kenneth of Coast , whom I felt worthy service care in their own way. And the lovely FD staff who checked us in last April 13 at room C501 . She’s not wearing a name plate so I failed to get her name. She exudes calmness and poise . I liked that , hope she gets recognised.

Bad weather wasn't a damper to a great experience, as the staff are warm and friendly. The deluxe room is reasonably sized with a balcony, that overlooked what they call as "lazy river." It had hot/cold shower, air-conditioning, super fast internet, hairdryer, ref, safe (very small though), water pot, water jug, towel rack at the balcony, usual toiletries, and cable TV. It didn't have an iron and ironing board, which is not really an issue for us. I didn't appreciate having one keycard though. It was bothersome to ring the doorbell so that someone can open the door for you. Imagine if your roommate slept like a log!

Outside your room there's a spa and a gym. You can also refill your water jug, by using water dispensers strategically located. Just ask the staff. For swimming, there are numerous swimming pools and you can find the water sports activity counter beside the restaurant, in front of the beach. You can get your beach/pool towels at the counter too. Speaking of beach.. the beach is okay. The sand is okay as well.

In terms of dining options, the resort has 2 restaurants: Salt and Sea, and Coast. The breakfast buffet is held at Coast from 6am to 10am, and the food selection is good. The pricing is similar to the restaurants that have popped up in La Union, so don't expect a cheap dinner. You will be charged with corkage if you bring food from the outside.

We had a great experience at this resort. If you are going to work, the internet is really fast, but the mobile phone signal is poor. I would recommend this for vacationing couples, families and a group of friends.

Booking was a breeze by calling. Thankfully, we were still able to book a Villa. The best part about this trip was they allow dogs for a fee. We have a 53 lb English Bulldog and we had to pay 3k for cleaning fee. Also, restaurants were accommodating enough to customize my food based on my diet needs. Room was not bad and customer service was also pretty good.

We stayed there for 2 nights and it was perfect for our golf reservation nearby. Oh, I also appreciate the kitchen for making us early packed breakfast perfect for our tee time schedule.

The resort had a great pet policy and my dog was also very happy - he even made friends with others guests who turned out to be distant relatives.

I guess we just went at a very peak season so we just had to wait for a long time during meals. Other than that, it was a great trip overall.

It was a challenge for us to find a beach resort where we could celebrate our anniversary and this time, bring our kid puppies.. Coupled with that is the covid restriction of some resorts that don't allow pregnant women.. Our options are also limited within luzon as we can't travel by plane as I am pregnant.. Most of the resorts are also fully booked, thus, I was ecstatic and thankful when I stumbled upon this gem resort Aureo which did not fail us.
You have different pool options to choose from that even if there are many guests staying, the pools are not crowded.
They have a spectacular lazy pool, an infinity pool with an amazing view of the sea, and another one located within the seaview villas.
They also have two restaurants, the sea and salt that serves internation cuisine adjacent to the lazy pool, which has a classy interior and so far, we were satisfied with all the food we ordered there.
Another restaurant, the Coast, which serves Filipino food is fronting the ocean. Breakfast buffet, however, which was also served there has limited choices of menu.
The rooms are just right though I hope they had installed a one way mirror in the glass doors of their villa. That way, there is privacy even if the curtains are drawn and lights are on.
Improvements can also be made in the beach area. Some landscaping and perhaps cute cabanas will make it more instagrammable. The iron fence fronting the seaview villas could also be replaced possibly with glass fence for an aesthetic touch.
I also noticed a neigboring building which can be seen from an area of a lazy pool which is a sore to the eye.. Maybe they could cover that building with something pleasing to the eyes.
Adding menu selection in their breakfast buffet, incorporating structural improvements coupled with an already quality service by their hospitable and courteous staff, Aureo will easily live up as one the luxurios beach resorts in the north.

Worst experience ever at a supposedly 4 star resort. Complete chaos at checkin. No managers show up when asked. They’re probably all hiding and having the poor front office staff face disgruntled guests.

They only give one key card per room, when you demand for another key, they will reason out they are out of new keys and they didn’t get their delivery. Room power needs a key and in this tropical climate, their substandard air conditioning units can’t stay on since they only give you ONE key. It’s so inconvenient and such a hassles. Hey Aureo, do you even discuss pain points with your staff? There is a ton of them. The facilities are run down, hardly any hot water, tap water smells bad, towels are damp and musty. You are not prepared for the holiday rush. Security guards are rude and bossy, parking inadequate.

Your food is horrible and expensive. We canceled our new years countdown reservation after we tried your food the night before. Food took over an hour to get served at Salt+Sea. Stupid policy of requiring facemasks when you get breakfast while majority have them off as THEY ARE EATING!

Over all, I will never, ever recommend your resort to even my worst enemy. We booked and paid for 5 rooms for 3 nights and we are leaving today, a day short as cannot stand the noise from all over, blasting music from all directions throughout the day. You can’t even relax and find a peaceful and quiet place to relax.

Overall a stressful stay and we will never, ever come back. This is the loudest and lousiest resort we ever stayed in. Not worth the PHp 130,000 plus we spent with you

Me and my husband had our 4th anniversary here last January 9 and I must say that it gives me a great satisfaction. Everything here is wonderful and relaxing. All the staff members are kind and accomodating. House keeping is well maintained. You can even bring food from outside the resort if you think the menu is too expensive for you. The beach is nice and so is the pool. I would definitely come back and recommend this to friends. Thank you aureo for a womderful stay on your resort

The place we stayed in is the luxury villa- 1 single bedroom and 2 bedroom. The place is too pricey per night. For the 2 bedroom villa, rooms smell musty due to lack of ventilation or exhaust. The bathroom has no cover so water splashed in the dressing area. The sliding door does not slide easily so there is a gap and a tendency to be locked in. The stairs is too high and I have a hard time carrying my luggage up and down. The open clost has a very high rod for hanging clothes- I was not able to use the bathrobe since I cannot reach for it. The carpet has not been vacummed. The food sucks, its too oily- oil used is stale. Breakfast too was a disaster, we keep on asking the waiters the needed condiments, utensils, water, tea. From the beach, there is no faucet to wash off the sand so you have to enter the villa with a sandy feet. Parking is far from the villa so it is best to get all the stuff needed from the car. There was however a welcome drink, fruits, wine, water, coffee or tea for complimentary.

We stayed for 4 days,3 nights. We got in La Union early but the staff were nice enough to try their best to accomodate us and enjoy the amenities early. The pool and beachside is clean, there were enough staff to take care of visitors. My son had cramps while swimming and they were nice enough to take care of him.
At first I thought that the food were expensive, but upon arriving at our room, the portion is very big and good enough for 3-4 persons, so overall the price is just fair to low, not to mention that it also tastes good. The room is very clean, and airconditioning is very good. On our last day the power in our room suddenly went off and we complained to the front desk, in less than 5 minutes their staff went up and fixed everything, so their customer service is excellent. The breakfast buffet is good though it would be better if there will be more choices in the menu.

Aureo is very nice and a is paradise compared to the rest of La Union. The city seems not that progressive, I had that 80’s province nostalgia. Some of the tourist traps err I mean tourist site were just overhyped, like the food (El Union Coffee, Masa, etc) seems less than ordinary, just a marketing ploy by social media, anyway that would be a different review. In general, We feel that people are not that welcoming to tourist, probably just a part of their culture or whatever.

Knowing this, I wasn’t expecting that much on Aureo, so I was genuinely surprised that they are different and we feel welcome. A simple greeting or nice gesture goes a long way for tourist. We mostly stayed in Aureo during our vacation in La Union coz we feel that its the only place nice in that city.

Is it worth coming back? Of course, when I’m in La Union there is no other place to stay but in Aureo.

Aureo Resort has been one of our family's go to resort for a quick getaway. Last time we went was on the later part of 2019,, they were still constructing the building at the back.

We've booked 2 Villa's (B24 and B26), rooms were still clean, beds still comfy, bathroom was a bit smaller (compared to the villa we booked last 2019 A9 and A10). It has signs of wear and tear though, maybe due to the fact that these resorts are close to the sea.

Good that they added more pools for kids to enjoy.

Food
Salt and Sea International Cuisine - not so good, a bit on the pricey side as well...for a luxurious resort such as Aureo, I think you should hire a more competent chef, people like us who don't want to go out esp late at night would be able to enjoy your food even if it's expensive. My sister asked if we opted to have a take out from a pizza place for our dinner on the 2nd night, she was told that there would be a corkage of half of our total bill (we just went out and dined at the place ).

Breakfast selection at Coast Restaurant was a bit better, too crowded though.

Aureo staff was courteous, helpful and cheerful.

Beach area, clean and relaxing!
