The room was larger than expected given the rate, with adequate furnishing and toiletries. I wish I remembered the name of the person who checked me in, but he was a one-man wonder (I think he may even be a manager, but am not sure). He made the whole experience hassle-free by allowing us to register early so we can check in easily once our room was available. Location was great. I had to go on an event the evening of our stay, and traffic was horrible. The front desk staff offered to book us a Grab, but drivers kept cancelling. The location allowed us to walk to our event venue instead. Hassle free, basic accommodation at a central location, great service. Issues: The A/C is a bit old and took a while to cool the room. Also, there was a very small cockroach in the bathroom when we first used it.…
The receptionist(a young man)arguing that the cockroaches are brought to Hotel by the tourists! The bathroom was full of insects...The room it self was ok. Furthermore we ordered the Hotel because of the swimming pool, but we got informed that the pool is under construction at check in. did not have time to find another Hotel.
Coming from a business trip with my husband. We were dead tired and so we were expecting that our stay with be stress-free. I could think of a lot reasons not to recommend this hotel, il just give the horrible ones based on my perspective: 1. Upon reaching the room, key was not working so we have to go down to reactivate. Waited long just for this. 2. Upon entering the room we were welcomed by Cockroaches! Little and big ones! Some we were able to kill, but we're not that fast so most of them ran away and went to the bathroom's drainage. 3. Hair dryer not working. Room too dark. 4. We asked the receptionist if we could be transferred to another room... started calling them 3:30pm... im telling you... im doing this review while waiting for their action...time check...4:23pm now and we're still waiting!!!! 5. No sense of urgency! Guests are tired..wanted to shower and rest but we cant because we are waiting and waiting...and waiting... I mean... decide. Thats why some people would just resort to go for airbnb! Hotels like this.. suck!…
When we got to our room the key card was not working together with 2 other guests on the same floor trying to access their rooms, we have to go back to the reception to have that fixed. We booked a big bed but got 2 smaller ones, we just took it since we have been waiting for more than 2 hours to get an available room. The fridge had an awful stench. The toilet kept flushing continuously, fresh water down its gullet on its own so we need to keep pushing the button until the mechanism gets unstuck and stops flushing. We were only told at the front desk that the pool was under renovation and this info should have been disclosed on the booking site as well just to set expectations.
The stay at this hotel was because I was required to quarantine, being a traveler coming from the UAE. As such, I didn’t expect full service since it wasn’t a stay for leisure. Besides, I understand that the hotel had to focus more on keeping the guests safe and maybe normal housekeeping procedures were sacrificed for safety’s sake. The cockroaches, though! Not less than 11 sightings in my 3 day stay and I’m not talking about catching a glimpse as they scuttled around in the dark corners of the room…they were scurrying across my desk as I was working on my laptop….lounging on my toilet bowl seat as I lifted it up the lid to use it…climbing the blinds and shower stall wall, too. The staff were very, very professional and nice, though, doing the best they could in their responsibility as a quarantine hotel. The room was small but the bed was oddly comfortable. Given the situation, it would have been a decent stay but the scales were greatly tipped because it really felt like Joe’s Apartment.…
Such a great Hotel to stay for my quarantine days. The room is very clean, nice ambiance, the wifi connection is fast and I had a great time to relax. The hotel staff are very accommodating plus the security are there 24/7. I would recommend this place to stay.
Good location, window overview was nice, comfortabilty of bed, plenty tv channels to choose from, internet signal was good, approachable front desk & security personnel. My only complain was not good housekeeping due to presence of plenty small cockroaches.
Generally POOR., and also not my choice since I cannot choose because I was booked their by my Shipping Agency. but the comfort room have (4) roaches., and other creepy crawlers the shampoo bottle was empty and took them 2 days before they gave me a refill., lobby was almost unattended at times since my calls are often not answered., the next time my Agency will put there I will politely ask to be booked somewhere else
First of all, the rooms are not that good compared what the picture has shown. The food for quarantine is so bland. It seems it was just being bought to a small eatery accross the street. I only admire the guards who are very diligent in buying our foods from the nearby mini stop. And I cant believe why the Front desk will be gone
I chose Exchange Regency due to its close proximity to my home and I can say it was a poor choice altogether. Airport pick up was late but the driver was delightful. He was the only good part about this entire stay with Exchange Regency. Upon arrival at the hotel, you are brought to the hot and poorly ventilated basement 1. There you are required to fill out an online form, but the internet reception is poor. So I had to fill up the very long form repeatedly due to site errors. They wont allow you in until you finish filling up the form, something I could have easily done ahead of time had they given the instructions to do so. After filling up the form, you have to wait for the security personnel to bring you up to the room. For reasons unknown to me, the personnel took another 10 minutes to get back to me and escort me to my room. So all this while, I was stuck standing in the middle of the parking area in the basement 1, hot, sweaty, and very tired from the long flight. I was then left to my room and no instructions were given at all. I had to call the front desk about what the next processes were. The next few days were very much one drab day after the next, being stuck in a room with no view except for the room beside mine. I could see into the next room and the only source of excitement for the week was peering into the room next door to see if any one had checked in. Needless to say, I had my window blinds closed to avoid any awkward moments with the neighbor should anyone check in. The food was also something. Or more like nothing. Food was horrible and was mainly rice with a two to three pieces of meat at most. The checkout process was not the least bit easier as well. All in all, this will be the first and last time I would stay at Exchange Regency.…
