This is so far the most disappointing and inconsiderate experience. It's hard to find the positives here. It is central; so are many others within walking distance. As a business traveller beware! Besides a string of disappointments and a laissez-faire attitude to service, room cleaning/replenishment of toiletries and water...there is a VERY LOUD & LONG RUNNING DISCO that nothing online or at check in prepares you for. Let's leave this here, depressing just reviewing this place.

We stayed in Astoria Plaza for over a month. We made our reservation well ahead of time and made a deposit (e-transfer) 10% of the total cost of our stay, plus extra cost for the early check-in. Upon checked in about 5:00 a.m., I was surprised when the front desk staff asked us when are we going to settle our account. I said “can’t you see on our reservation that we made a deposit w/c was equivalent to 11 days stay”? We were told that there was no room available yet on the higher floor so in the meantime we were given a room on a lower floor and promised that we will be moved on the higher floor in 2 days. I also asked if we are entitled for a free breakfast that morning, he said No because the cost for early check-in does not include breakfast. Anyway, once we were in our room the phone rang and he said Yes we can have free breakfast at the Astoria Cafe. We found the room on the lower floor was alright so we didn’t bother to be moved on the higher room. We have stayed in Astoria Plaza several times, and we know some staff who have been working there for 10 years or more. We accidentally broke a glass in the bathroom and we asked for replacement but was charged (pesos) to our account. However, the replacement glass was not delivered soon, until the day I talked to the housekeeping guy. I have seen blood or urine stains on the bedsheets. For our long stay in Astoria Plaza, we thought we could get a free transfer to the airport. Unfortunately, we don’t get that benefit so we settled for a grab taxi that was large enough for our 4 luggages and 2 carry-ones. Overall, our over a month stay in Astoria Plaza was pleasant. Our special thanks to Jinky Ching, Mac, Joy, Honey, Diane, Claire, Gella and all the staff in the cafeteria, for looking after us in the morning. 👏 Thank you to the concierge staff, for the free shuttle services to and from MegaMall/Shangrila.👏…

We were invited to a Dinner by Astoria Vacation & Leisure Club Inc. The Dinner was fine. Prior to that a representative called Cheng contacted us that we had won a Gift Certificate. My Husband warned us to be careful with such invitations. After the Dinner we were brought to a two beroom suite at 26 floor. There were a lot of eager persons inspecting the premises. The Agent showed us all beautiful pictures and the benefits. We asked her to show us hotels abriad, he could not gave any. Citing only this and that. We were so bored that asked politely how much. He called the Supervisor. She told us to deposit 83,000 spot cash for membership of 1,000,000. Did she really expect us to sign immediately. Knowing we woukd like to ask for the conditions of the contract, the Supervisor excused herself and said the Gift Certificate would be available. Two days after, we booked the GC. Unfortunately, the Call Agents could not book us directly. They said a google form must be filled. To cut the long story dhort, the Gift Check could not be used. I tried to call 09199113959 but they simply rejected all calls This promotion is bordering scam, but definitely the Gift Check was useless and the employees were agressive with mouth full of honey. Do not sign for the firm of AVLCI. The dinner was good but no doubt a waste of time. It is almost like a scam. The customer agents are alien to truth.…

I just want to express my many thanks to all the staff for making our stay comfortable. Special thanks to Raymond Ramirez❤️ and all the bellmen for the 5 star service, and to Jinky Ching for the morning buffet breakfast and impeccable restaurant service. I only knew about Astoria Plaza as a prime hotel somewhere in Pasig. I once had a chance to explore the place when i had a two-day seminar sponsored by a foreign entity called MIUEX but that was several years back. So, when my friend Atty. Nee Paguila treated us to their buffet restaurant it was my second time to see the place. It was such an exhilarating experience because we enjoyed the food and the chats. For me the best were the cakes and pastries and the pizza! I really find their choice of dishes to be superb! I will definitely go back with my family in tow. The price of 950 for a buffet was amazing!

Awful customer service. Most staff members seem to have zero training in hospitality, especially those in the front desk. If we do not have timeshare membership here, I would never even consider booking a room again. I advise you to lower your expectations with this hotel.

I had an amazing time at the Pasig location during my Christmas 2022 trip to the Philippines. My sister let me use her timeshare and I just paid for the excess of her 5 days allowable. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities I need. My only issue was that there wasn’t enough sockets to plug our gadgets to. Luckily we brought along an extension cord. Housekeeping was impressive and was always at our beck and call. Special mention to Chris who saw to it that all our needs are met on time. Cafe Astoria at the ground floor had an impressive breakfast buffet. Another special mention to F&B attendant Joy Fragio who was so gracious to attend to our needs. I’m definitely booking my next Philippine vacation at the Astoria!

Very big and comfortable suite provided with full kitchen besides an oven. Maintenance quickly repaired an malfunctioning AC. Housekeeping did a superb service in thoroughly cleaning the room everyday. Breakfast buffet had a nice variety and was very tasty. Hotel elevator wait times was a serious concern as they can vary from 2 to 20 minutes.
