During my first stay, I reached the hotel at 1 PM which I was expecting to wait for room to be available. Surprisingly they already have an available room and the front desk is helpful to get everything sorted. During my 2nd stay, they already can recognize me when I was queuing up to check in. The service is really good. Due to the COVID-19, everyone who enter the premise will need to be scanned for temperature and during check-in we will need to fill in the health declaration form.
I was upgraded due to the IHG plat status and I got back the same corner room in both occasion. The room is a bit bigger than normal, I assume. There's a separate dining area and the bedroom but it is not exactly a suite, grand room perhaps?
4 pillows were given in the room, complimentary water bottle for the stay, just call to request more when you need it. Welcome fruits was given but this time I was not in the appetite for fruits. The bed is just nice but there is no sidelamp, making night time reading very difficult. There is no master switch beside the bed too and I have to walk all the way to the front door to turn off the lights.
The bathroom comes with a normal size bathtub and the shower is in the bathtub. I figured they could have put a separate stand shower area. The hot water is consistent but it is difficult to get the right temperature. Just a minor flick and the water became too cold, and flick back it became too hot. Very sensitive.
The hotel is connected to the mall on the 4th floor, there are plenty of food choices in the mall if you dont fancy eating in the hotel. It is also connected to Crowne plaza I believe. On my first stay I took the hotel breakfast and it is not too shabby, quite a lot of selection. On my 2nd stay I decided not to, and went to the bakery in to mall to get breads and pie for breakfast.
Location wise, there are a couple of 7-11 nearby, and there is a pedestrian walkway to cross the road in case we need to do it.
I dont mind to stay back here again if the price is right.
But staff are very friendly and do their best to accommodate guests.
They do offer valet service upon checkin. Guests park for free but they charge a 100 valet fee upon leaving.
Check-in was on the fourth floor. In the Jade Ballroom. A bit strange location but they let me do an earlier checkin (usually its at 3pm but if you’re early and rooms are available they’ll check you in immediately). I also liked they didn’t mind my request for extra key card to reach my parent’s room on a higher floor.
Elevators are a bit slow. Interior and carpeting do look worn out but everything was clean.
Rooms were nice and big. We even had a sofa area before the actual bedroom. They can’t offer a good skyline view though because location is surrounded by other tall buildings.
The usual items included in room: toiletries, towels, hairdryer, mini ref, kettle, personal safe, iron with ironing board, slippers etc. but they don’t provide bathrobes. 2 very small bottles of complimentary drinking water. So I suggest buying extra water if you need alot.
Beds are wonderfully comfortable. I suggest requesting rooms on higher floors because its in a busy area. And if you have more than 1 room booked (We’d booked 4) — I suggest you call reservations in advance if you want to request rooms on the same floor. If available they’ll make sure to reserve it for you. 😀
Breakfast is on the 4th floor. Buffet style. Choices were mostly Filipino dishes but they also had sushi (?), fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt etc. Staff again were very helpful and efficient. Expect large volume of guests though but the buffet dishes were always quickly replenished.
Location is great. There is direct access to the nearby Robinsons Galleria mall and the Crowne Plaza hotel.
Our stay was good. If you prefer though a newer hotel then I suggest Holiday Inn Makati.
But other than that it’s an A+ 👍🏽
The guard at the door to the mall BabyJenn was very kind and even gave a clean mask to my husband when he forgot his!
The food service was excellent , delicious and very satisfying.
We tell our friends and family about Holiday Inn Edsa, it is among the best especially for economy and friendliness.
We had an out-of-the-ordinary experience, incidentally. This the staff and security saw to immediately and very efficiently. There was a lot of noise from the room next to ours, a man talking on the phone at the top of his voice. After an hour of listening to this, being unable to concentrate, I stepped into the hallway and was overcome by the odor of cigarette smoke. I reported this immediately along with the noise and the staff was on the problem right away. The noise stopped and later the room cleaner told us the man was smoking and would need to pay the fine for this. We were SO THANKFUL, not only for the relief of clean air and less noise but that the staff took us seriously and attacked the problem without delay. Thank you again Holiday Inn!
The location is attached to Robinson’s Galleria and within walking distance of “The Podium” and “SM Megamall”. Guest have access to swimming pool and Anytime Fitness Gym located on the 5th floor. Direct mall access on the 3rd floor as well as 7 Corners Restaurant. The Holiday Inn has very majestic wood work throughout the building. The property is renovating, we experienced smelling fresh paint in the corridor leading to Robinson’s Galleria nothing major. There where a few minor things in the room that didn’t work the safe and the iron, but able to exchange and get a working iron. To end on a positive the breakfast included with room is worth it - Super friendly service staff and cooks with a great selection of foods to try.
The high level of security and cleanliness of the room are commendable. We like the adding of signature Holiday Inn touches to every single corner of the room to instantly make the entire space more cozy and spacious. But what we most loved about the property aside from it's strategic location are the staff of the hotel, both Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Hotels. From Security, Housekeeping, Pastry/Deli, Jane of Front Desk, everyone was extremely helpful. And what even makes our Christmas more merrier was your delectable version of Korean Cream Cheese Garlic Bread, definitely has more components.
Truly, one of our preferred company chain. Kudos! Happy Holidays!
Overall, this place is still recommendable and it was a pleasant stay!
My suggestion is to provide atleast 10garbage bags particularly to visitors whose under quarantine so no need to ask frequently.
