My Lola and I had the pleasure of calling the Conrad Manila home for three nights and four days (October 12- 15). Throughout our stay, we were met with incredibly genuine hospitality every time we turned around.
The entire staff was attentive to the smallest of details, quick to respond to any of our requests, and never without a smile which I’m convinced is a mandatory part of their uniform. I know we didn’t catch everybody’s name but there were a few staff members that made our stay truly memorable.
From the moment we checked-in, Nica at the front desk made sure our stay was a 5-star experience by always asking how we are doing and if we needed anything whenever she spotted us throughout the property (always politely addressing us as Mr. O’Donnell and Lola). She made us feel like we were the only people in the lobby even if there was a sea of people around us. Other friendly faces and helpful hands at the front desk included JP for answering my jet lag induced questions at 5am and Julianne and Lindsay who couldn’t have been sweeter during the check out process.
All of our dining experiences (breakfasts, lunches, and dinners) at Brasserie on 3 were the ultimate chefs’ kiss. The day-to-day buffet selection always delightfully surprised us and we never tired of the engaging interactions we had with the staff. Whether it was the hosts/hostesses that remembered my room number by the second day and that I’d be joined by my Lola for our next meal, the attentive server that found my Lola’s cane after accidentally leaving it after lunch (not sure how she made it back to her room without it!), to a charming conversation with Tommy - the new food & beverage manager/director - who had a je’ne sais quio. Day or night, first class service was provided by Dale, Zaldy, Chano, Jinkle, Jerry, Harvey, JC, Nico, Chef Ken, and the rest of the restaurant staff. I’m certain we met almost everybody front of and back of house. Lola is looking forward to enjoying the next time she dines at Brasserie on 3 for a special Christmas meal and telling everybody how it stands up to dining at the Shangri-La in Makati.
White glove service was provided from the moment we arrived by the valet, bellhops, welcome greeters, security, and housekeeping staff. My Lola and I were lucky to have Malvin tend to our room and provide excellent service. After a 16-hour direct flight from JFK, I barely remembered sharing my Japan travel plans for the second part of my Asia trip with Arsy - one of the valet attendants. While Fel meticulously loaded the luggage in the car to depart for the airport, Arsy wished me safe travels to Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo. What a beautiful lasting memory to close out my stay.
Salamat to the entire staff for the elevated services and high-quality amenities that we had the pleasure of experiencing during our extended stay.
The Conrad Manila will forever be our home away from home when traveling to the Philippines.

I have stayed at the Conrad many times and the service has always been great. This recent stay was a huge disappointment and the answers that I received were even more confusing as all faults are the responsibility of Hilton corporate management and not third party travel sites. I book two rooms with one room having two children aged 6 and 7 years old and I booked it online with the breakfast buffet. The Expedia online booking website clearly asked for the children’s ages so no problem there. The problem is with the agreement that Hilton has with Expedia regarding the completion of the booking process. Upon checking in I was informed by the front desk that the age verification for the children need to be confirmed first by the hotel and the children’s breakfast buffet is half the price of the adult price. The adult price is $21.00 U.S. or PHP 1216 and the children’s half price is $10.50 U.S. or PHP 608. Here’s where Conrad Hilton failed, they claim that the children were walk in buffet rate at PHP 900 since it was not booked in advance with the online room booking. They had the opportunity to correct their error several times after I complained that I did book the children’s buffet and showed my booking confirmation. They insisted that it was their hotel policy not to confirm children’s advance meal bookings because they need to confirm their ages in person. Each day of our stay the children were charged PHP 900 each and probably ate about PHP 150 worth of food. Instead of reducing the amount they charged me they offered us a late 2pm checkout instead of the normal 11am. I spent $1289.44 U.S. for two rooms for two nights stay and was charged $62.17 for two days children’s breakfast. Hilton has lost me as a future customer by overcharging me $20.72 It’s the principle of being honest with your customers and not cast blame on third party travel sites that brings you millions of dollars in profits.

I just completed a month long stay at the Conrad, so I fell I know the hotel top to bottom. The staff at the Conrad was top notch from the Pretty Ms. Tammy to the elegant Ms. Alice in the Executive Lounge. The lounge has an amazing staff as well. You won’t be disappointed with the great service from the start when doormen great you by opening your car door to the spotless rooms cleaned with great care. MJ and here colleagues always kept my room perfect. The food in the restaurant is amazing and the salt water pool is incredibly fresh to take a swim. I can’t forget the easy access to seaside and Mall of Asia. Hands down my only choice when I come to Manila for business. Thank you Conrad team for making Manila my second home.

I booked Conrad Manila as I am attending a company year-end party at the SMX Convention center. We’ve always been curious about trying out this hotel as we heard good reviews from officemates who have booked before.
Good points: - Reservations team was very courteous; asked us about our preferences (room, pillows, etc.), - allergies, arrival-time, etc. (Shoutout to Rezza, Enzo, Vince, Hans, Janine) - The Concierge team was very accommodating especially when there’s a queue forming: They have ushers to check on everyone in the queue and direct traffic. This made the check-in and check-out process easy. - Housekeeping was very courteous and attended to our every need (Shoutout to Richard Salonga). - The Hotel really shows its value not just through its facilities (gorgeous deluxe room– check out the pics) and amenities, but mainly through the genuine 5-star hospitality of its team - Shoutout to Lifeguard Gideon at the pool who entertained us and other guests even if we were just visiting and looking at the amenities - Honestly, the Tamaraw? Stuffed Toy given as part of the welcome package is the sweetest touch the hotel can provide. This was so instagrammable, cute, and a very fine souvenir.
Room for improvement: - Had initial language-barrier changes in booking/reserving a room through the customer service hotline - There were a time when we would call Customer Support direct line and we were put on hold for a long time. We will attribute this to peak hours, but this was remedied by a) having someone on the Hilton chat app being responsive and b) housekeeping being accessible as they frequent the corridors - As I was coming from the SMX Convention Center, I was just disappointed that walkways were already closed after 10/11PM. Wished it was open at least until 12 especially during party-season this December.
Tips for those who would like to book: - Get the Hilton app. The Conrad team is responsive via chat. - Don’t hesitate to approach Housekeeping if there is something you need in the event that the Customer Support direct line is busy. They are very accommodating. - When you deposit in cash, always remember to ask for the receipt.
We truly were surprised with this pleasant stay and we are definitely considering booking again in the future. Also, we’re now inclined to recommend Conrad Manila to our friends and relatives if they plan to book in the area.
Extra Note: the food (from Brasserie on 3) was great! I will place a separate comment about that on the Brasserie on 3 page, but I need to mention it here as well.

We recently stayed at the Conrad Manila for a 3-night stay using points. I normally wouldn’t stay in part of Metro Manila, preferring rather to stay in Makati or BGC, but the hotel looked nice, I had the points, and it had been years since I had been to the Mall of Asia (MOA) to which the hotel is connected, so I thought why not. The hotel sells itself as a 5-star, and I will explain why it is not.
Check-in was a bit troublesome. While they did let us check-in earlier (we arrived at the hotel around 12pm), but as it was high-season the front desk was busy. There was a line, but it was not clear that there was a line, so I initially went straight to the Hilton Honors priority counter only to be told to get in line (politely but inexplicably). Not a 5 star check-in experience. Communication prior to check-in was also not succinct. They emailed us several times asking if we wanted to book airport transportation, which we already had, and then when I got nervous and asked them to confirm that they had my reservation they sent me a snarky email saying they had already sent me a confirmation. A similar exchange occurred when I made my NYE dinner reservation.
The room was nice, but in typical developing world fashion the fit and finish of the construction is not very good. This hotel will not stand the test of time, and wear and tear is already beginning to show for a hotel that is less than ten years old. Also, for a “5-star” hotel room the TV was rather small.
They provided a cute little stuffed carabao (like a Filipino Ox), and a cake, etc. Service was overall very good, if not a little bit off.
The pool ice nice, but there is a dearth of pool chairs, and I was only able to get a spot for us once and it was a rainy day – they really do need more chairs. Service on the pool deck is also spotty, sometimes they would roam around asking if people wanted to order anything, at other times they were nowhere to be found.
Due to my Hilton status, we got the complimentary buffet breakfast which was expansive, but overall not that impressive in terms of quality. The fruit selection for example was rather sad (see photo).
Overall, the hotel is not bad, it is connected to two malls (one right below it which has restaurants, a spa, coffee shops and a rather sad Hard Rock Café), however I would not call it a 5-star, nor would choose to stay at this property over more competent hotels in Makati or BGC (unless you really want to be near the jologs MOA or Manila Bay which is in the process of being reclaimed). Definitely not up to the standard of other Conrad properties in the world, but if you’re a Hilton loyalist then this is the best option in Manila.

Josiah and Ariel provided excellent service in C Lounge. The food is also good and we were accommodated even if we had a stroller. The staff are also very attentive and would clear out empty dishes, lower the blinds, and really make sure we're comfortable. Will definitely go back in the future.

The situation on Manila Bay is perfect since it is next to the baywalk and Mall of Asia and you are not just a captive of the hotel once there. However, the hotel itself, gleaming in the shape of a ship, is probably the most beautiful and tasteful of the modern hotels in Manila, inside and out. This translates into what can only be called six star service and attitude of the staff I encountered. From the gleaning lobby areas, to the beautifully appointed rooms, done in a tasteful selection of woods, everything is perfect about the experience. I opted at extra cost for a view over the Bay plus access to the club. It made a big difference being able to drop in on the same floor for snacks or drinks from breakfast to late in the evening. I want to say a special thanks for making my girlfriend's birthday special since there was a birthday decoration with banner and balloons and cake waiting in the room when we arrived. Overall it is a six star experience staying there, but it is perhaps the most expensive hotel in Manila also, so you pay for the luxury. It is not a bargain price.

The staff is amazing. They go all out to make guests feel welcome and special. The King room with a view of Manila Bay is very nice, spacious and comfortable. The included wi-fi is excellent, with a one-time login (unlike some hotels where you have to log in multiple times during your stay.) The small refrigerator is stocked with items to purchase, but can be removed to store your own drinks. The room is quiet and the bed is very comfortable with great pillows and comforter. The shower is great with multiple faucets to choose from with hot water and excellent water pressure. The staff came by to give us a slice of complimentary cake with a card welcoming us back to the hotel (we stayed here last year as well). They also made a call during our visit to make sure everything in the room was to our satisfaction. Absolutely amazing staff! On the down side: The online menu did not work, I placed an order using their QR code, order said it would take 45 minutes... 45 minutes later when I called to check on the meal, they said they never got the order. Had to re-order and wait again. My sirloin steak was horrible but, my wife's bistek was amazing as was my son's spaghetti ragu. My son says it was the best he has ever had.

I was gifted with an overnight foodie staycation to celebrate my birthday and our experience was lovely and amaaazing!!! Kudos to the whole team at the executive lounge and executive floor. We were well taken cared of.
However, our dinner buffet experience at the Brasserie on 3 was not fantastic and the service seemed that we were not dining in a five star hotel. First, when we entered the restaurant, I told the staff our room number. While we were seated, she told us the price of the buffet that will be charged to us, which I found inappropriate. She should’ve checked first the reservation details of our room before coming to us. Our booking included a dinner buffet already which was already paid for (since it’s a GIFT). Second, another service staff approached us to ask for our preferred drinks. He explained that only coffee, tea and the welcome drink is included in the buffet. Other drinks are chargeable. Me and my husband asked him what kind is their welcome drink and he pointed to us that the drink is like the one in the other guests’ table. We told him that we can’t be looking at other guests’ table to check on their food/drink. We kept asking him the kind of drink he was referring to but he kept on telling us to check on the other guests’ table the drink that they were having. It was very inappropriate!!! We were disappointed with that kind of service. Third, since it’s a buffet, empty used plates should be cleared from our table every now and then. Initially, the waiter was assisting us. But eventually, we felt abandoned. Our table was almost full of used plates and no one came up to clear the plates. We even had to go to the Japanese station and inform the staff that we wanted hot tea but I was told to inform one of the waiters. So I told them that there’s no visible waiter near our table at all.
To be fair, the supervisor came to us when we just started eating to check on us but didn’t even bother to ask if we are celebrating anything.
Service needs to be improved (a lot) at Brasserie on 3. It was our first time to experience such from all the five star hotels that we’ve been to.
After that dinner, we decided to just eat breakfast the following day at the executive lounge instead of having it at Brasserie on 3. We were more taken cared of at the executive lounge and the staff were more attentive and warm. I Nevertheless, thank you Conrad Manila! 🙂
