This is an old hotel and you can see that.
It would need a total renovation inside out, also WIFI is working properly only at the restaurant. They should renovate the rooms, change the small box type televisions and forbid guests smoking at the indoor restaurant!

My room was at the back facing the MRT line and you could easily hear it 24/7 running.

My officemates and I stayed for 5 days here. We got 2-2 bedroom suites. I stayed at suite A for the first night and transferred to suite B for the rest of our stay there.

I have 6 issues to address:
1. Their phone was not functioning properly. In suite A, there was a note that said due to their renovation, their phone lines are not working. There's a cellphone number you can message if you have any concerns. However, in suite B, at times the phone works but during the call, the line disconnects. There was no note in suite B so we had to get the number from suite A. We just texted them our room service orders. However, they don't respond to our messages and one of us has to go down to check if the phone line is not working.

2. It was raining the almost the whole week and one of the rooms in Suite B (the one with the double size bed) got flooded from the rainwater that's seeping through the floors and the ceiling. We called in the cleaning crew and they just mopped the floor and left floor towels.

3. Their food constantly changes. Since we stayed their for 5 days, we were able to order almost all of their food from the menu. Every time we order something we ordered before, something is different with the dish. Also, their breakfast menu buffet choices are so limited.

4. For our last day, I ordered the continental breakfast, it was sent to our room. The platter included corned beef, apple slices, egg, and bread. I was able to eat 1 out 3 triangle slices of bread. After some minutes, the bread got so hard. The corned beef was full of onions. The only bearable food to eat was the egg. The apple slices smell like onions, and you can taste onions from it too. It's like they use the same knife in slicing onions and fruits. And lastly was the tea. I ordered green tea with my breakfast. i was expecting our food to arrive with the tea not yet steeping. When the food arrived at our room, the tea is already steeping. The taste was so strong. I only took one sip and opted to drink water instead.

5. For the duration of the day, we stayed at one of their conference rooms. During the first 2 days, there was another function happening the other room. There were only 4 of us in the room so the service crews thought it would be okay if they pass through our room. They do this every time they have to attend to something in the other room. I had to tell one of the staff that we don't like them passing through our room (unless they are going to get the glasses or change the coffee, which they do not. The coffee was in the thermos for 5 days.)

6. The conference room has small cockroaches. During one of our sessions, I saw about 4 small roaches.

On the bright side, their rooms were big. The bathrooms were spacious too. The view from the balcony was nice. The air-conditioning was okay although they create noise(when an AC is old). There was cable TV, too. Suite B has a flatscreen TV and a CRT TV, suite A has 2 CRT TVs. They give complimentary bottled water too. There was a mini refrigerator in the room as well.

We booked Atrium Hotel via Expedia as it was one of the few hotels we could find that took our family of 4. We initially booked 5 nights for the start of our trip and rebooked it the last few nights of our holiday.

We booked a 2 bedroom suite and expected it to be like the photo on the website. We were very happy that the room was HUGE! It had two bedrooms and a lounge room. The girls bedroom consisted of a Queen Bed, window, air conditioner and bathroom (shower, toilet and basin). The lounge room had a small table and chairs, lounge suite, TV, Air conditioner, bar size fridge and balcony. The master bedroom had a King Size bed, balcony, air conditioner, TV, desk and a very large bathroom (bath, shower, toilet, basin and lots of room!). Our room (1820) overlooked the bay and had wonderful views - so request a room on that side. We could get internet but only in the lounge room but it worked well and log in details are available from reception. The rooms aren't perfect but they suited our needs! There might have been a bit of mould on the shower curtain but it was a great deal. Any little faults were only minor and we would have no hesitation to stay here again.

The location is excellent - 5 minute Jeepney Ride to Mall of Asia, Star City etc. Half hour taxi ride to Greenhills Shopping Centre. A quick train ride to many other areas. The train station is just behind the hotel so it is a quick walk to get to it. You can hear the trains, occasionally from the hotel, but because our room was on the opposite side you barely heard them. The bus stations are across the road and another is behind the train station. Very handy for getting the bus to Batangas Pier to go to the islands.

There are plenty of fast food restaurants around the hotel but not many sit down (more formal) restaurants. This wasn't an issue for us though. The first 3 floors of the Hotel complex are a little shopping centre. Bottom floor is mobile phone covers, dentist and some clothing, 2nd floor is some clothing and baggage shops, internet cafes and a wonderful hairdresser that is very cheap and very good, Top floor consists of some food places (Filipino food) and some great DVD stores.

One night we had trouble with the room due to an Expedia error NOT hotel error. We ended getting the room for a special rate which was cheaper than Expedia. The reception staff are very good and will fix any problem quickly and easily. If something needed fixing in the room, it was fixed very quickly!

The only thing we didn't like was the breakfast. Very limited and not to our liking. Lots of rice, fish, vegetables etc. Fruit was nice but no yogurt and no cereal!!

We can't wait to visit Manila again and stay at the Atrium Hotel!

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comment in TripAdvisor with regards to your stay with us last May 18, 2012. It was nice to know that you had a pleasant stay with us during your visit last August. It is with deep concern to learn about your negative experience with our Food & Beverage particularly your breakfast. Rest assured that your concerns will be acted upon accordingly and will certainly be passed on to our F&B department. We value your comments and we look forward to welcome you back at Atrium Hotel.

I looked at 4 rooms, stayed in 2.

Friendly staff, close to LRT, fast food & bus station.

The 'shoppingmall' under the hotel is a joke - nothing more that a few stalls selling mobile phone cards.

Rooms are in poor condition.
Carpets are filthy, curtains are dirty, I could write my name in dust under the desk.

Wall paper is falling off the walls.

The windows did not shut correctly.
Housekeeping ran out of towels on one day.

We are now in Atrium Hotel! They cannot give us a room because they said their online booking has been blocked since last week. When we showed them our confirmed online booking they just told us it was a mistake. But we already paid!!!!! They said they will just transfer us to Icon Hotel then to Eurotel. And it took them almost an hour to decide. We did not agree because Icon hotel has terrible reviews and Eurotel is in Makati and we need to rush to airport tonight. So now we decide to cancel our booking and rush to book to another hotel nearby. They wont give us the number of Hotels.com and promised us that they will be the one to communicate with Hotels.com to effect the cancellation without and refund us with our payment in full. We are so pissed off that we cancelled our other bookings which are supposedly on December 20 to 23. We are now on the way to Bayview. Spare yourself from these hassles. DONT BOOK IN ATRIUM HOTEL!!!!

Had one bad experience in this hotel. I was asleep with my daughter when i sense someone is in our room. I turned just in time to see a man tiptoeing out of the room via the terrace. I was pretty sure i lock the front door (and double lock it) together with the terrace before we went off to sleep. I noticed the terrace door half open with lock broken. Reported to front desk and they sent their maintenance guy who is exactly wearing the same green polo uniform as the one i saw coming out of our room, though the latter is shorter in height. The 2nd man was helpful though and lock the terrace door for me but i barely slept the whole night. Terrible experience!!!

Large rooms, comfortable beds and good rates. Cheaper to reserve online than paying at front desk. Hotel starts on the 15th? floor. Nice little Mall at bottom floors of the building. 5 minutes from Mall of Asia

I initially only booked 2 nights at this hotel, but ended up staying for 3 weeks. On my second day at the hotel i went looking around for a cheaper hotel. I went to about dozen different ones and after 4 hrs of looking i realised that the Atrium was very good value for what you got. The room i was given was already remodelled, with beautiful wooden flooring and room fixtures alike. There was no dust to be had and every thing was very clean, even the bedsheets. I did have towels in the room when i got there and they were replaced daily, so were the sheets on the bed.

I found the location to be great, right next door to the LRT railway system and two major bus terminals, which came in handy when i travelled out of Manila to the provinces. There are two restaurants in the lobby, but i decided to eat on the ground floor where you were within a 2 minute walk from many eating establishments. The hotel starts at the 15th floor and is high enough to take the sound of traffic out of your stay. The room i had did have a balcony with a double glazed sliding door out to it. The views where stunning looking out to Manila Bay and also into the Makati area. The rooms were large with a sofa and chairs at one end of the room, and the bed nearer to the restroom. The bathtub was of good size and the shower had so much pressure in it, that you felt revigorated after it. I found all the staff there very pleasant and courteous and always on hand to help, plus as i was going to stay there for 3 weeks they gave me a good discount. Never hurts to ask. The air con works brilliantly and has a remote control to adjust the temprature and to tunr it on and off.

The shopping mall at the ground floor is not a greenbelt or mall of asia. It is mainly stalls selling sweets, phones, phone cards, clothes, shoes and DVD. It also has a very good internet cafe, hairdressers and various other shops. You can get a lot down there if you look around.

All in all i found this Hotel was very good and never had one problem in the whole 3 weeks of being there. I am sure they have taken the advice and dealt with the problems other people have said on this review board. And i do plan to stay there again for another 3 weeks, later in the year. I hope anyone who stays there has a good as time as i had there, and that you find this useful. One more thing i am a British citizen.

I booked a night's stay on this hotel for my mother. She didn't have any problems checking in but when she went inside her room, she didn't find any towels in the bathroom so on her way out, she stopped by the front desk to request for towels. They said they'd deliver it to her room, but still, morning came and nobody gave her towels.

The next day, when she checked out, they didn't let her leave because they said the towels in her room are missing. She said they didn't give her any towels but the head of housekeeping insisted that they provided some towels for her room. They even searched her luggage for towels (AND OF COURSE DIDN'T FIND IT THERE) and it really embarassed and upset her, not to mention delayed her. Thankfully, she was able to catch her flight.

I am just so furious that they have to embarass her that way just to cover up their failure to provide good service to their guests. I would never recommend this hotel to anybody.

You can ask the reception to order a taxi for you to the airport. When I stayed their I used Uber or Grab-- whichever is cheaper to take me to my destination.

I don't think the hotel would allow that if they know about it. But it is worth a try. They might provide you with extra bed at an additional cost.
