We booked this holiday inn because of its proximity to the airport. Expected our stay to be smooth, quiet, and restful. However, as soon as i turned off my tablet and started to sleep, i felt my pillow vibrating from the music coming from the bar below. Am sure the hotel would have had received complaints about the noise and discomfort heard and felt at this floor level, but regardless of being a long time member, we were placed here. I feel angry and disappointed because the customer care and consideration for client comfort that we have come to love at other holiday inn hotels is sadly lacking in this one.
After 26 hours of flying, (Dayton-Atlanta-Seoul-Manila) I couldn’t have asked for a better experience in Manila. Despite being a dual purpose (regular stay / quarantine) hotel, I was very happy to crawl into the extremely comfortable bed and pass out in anticipation of my domestic flight the following morning. Breakfast was very good. Heads up - Traditional Filipino style. As a smoker, I was very relieved to have the onsite casino serve as a smoking area. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful. Also be aware that if you arrive late, food options are not available from the on-site kitchen. Get the Grab app for food deliveries. Def will stay there again.
This place is cheap. So do not expect a five star treatment. It used to be an exclusive quarantine facility but by February 2022, it was allowed to accommodate leisure travelers. If you will just sleep and eat and do your errands outside, this hotel is a good option.
By far one of my worst hotel experiences in Manila, definitely not worth the money . The first room I had was full of broken bedside outlets. I asked to get a transfer to a different room, only to find out that the wifi couldn't be connected to. After three room service visits and a faulty shower temperature control, the best the management could do for me was offer a 12% discount and a late checkout. Breakfast was as bad as the quality of the rooms. Pictures and advertising were products of deceptive marketing. Would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Be willing to spend a bit more money to book at a different place.
Check in at your own risk! This hotel does not value privacy. Their bathroom door doesn’t have a lock. It slides open when you’re doing your personal business. I addressed the issue to the hotel manager. She’s aware of the issue hit couldn’t do anything about it. Instead, i was asked to go to another hotel if I’m unhappy with the accommodation. Can you believe that! Even cheap hotels in the Philippines have bathroom lock to provide privacy. The manager claims that all room in their hotel doesn’t have locks! In addition, they do not provide toiletries. So you have to be prepared to bring your own personal stuff! This is the cheapest hotel located in Newport City. Your money is wasted of you stay in this hotel. Breakfast buffet not only have limited selection, but the quality of food is terrible. As if you’re eating paper and rubbish. Never stay in this hotel!!…
