This is one of the best new hotels we’ve stayed at this year. The Japanese-inspired design, including stone-textured tiles and a serene ambiance, was both beautiful and calming. We stayed in the Hinoki-Yu King Size room with a tub, which felt like an onsen and made our anniversary extra special. The thoughtful touch of a cake and snacks in the room, along with the faint scent of hinoki wood, added to the experience.
The service was warm and respectful, and the breakfast stood out with its Japanese and fusion dishes—refreshingly different from the typical buffet. The location is also convenient, close to the casino, shopping, and NAIA, yet the hotel itself feels like a private retreat. Highly recommended for a peaceful and memorable stay!

Our stay at this incredible hotel was nothing short of amazing. After having a very disappointing experience at a neighbouring hotel (which cost double the price) we checked in to the Okura. From start to finish the stay was pure luxury. Such a modern hotel with automatic toilet/bidet, touch panels to control everything. Heated rooftop pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Very sad to be checking out and needless to say we will 100% be returning. Immaculately clean and staff very friendly and helpful.

Business or Pleasure, the Philippines’ most luxurious Japanese hotel provides unparalleled service and quality food.
Hotel Okura Manila’s room is not only comfortable but also convenient just across the NAIA international airport. Had a long and quiet stay there because of the excellent sound proofing because even facing the airport, you will not hear any disturbing sound or noise.
We stayed at room 1022 (a corner room) and it’s spacious and immaculately clean. Even if we had to walk long from elevator to our room, it was worth it.
The penthouse where the swimming pool, gym, jacuzzi and sauna will give you the opportunity to relax and there’s separate facilities for male and female guests. Plus the kids pool will delight children and paternity will feel safe because there’s a lifeguard on standby.
I highly recommend this hotel for a truly relaxing business or pleasure stay.

We stayed here to celebrate a special occasion and we were welcomed to a grand lobby! I would like to commend Nikki for answering all of our inquiries and even showed us the Palace room. She is the most helpful staff we dealt with during our stay. I hope other staff in the reception will show the same smile and friendliness.
We booked the Hinoki room and we were in awe! We really felt we were transported to Japan in minutes! We love the room 10/10 for us in terms of the overall look! Thank you too for the complimentary sweets! So thoughtful of you!
We tried the pool restaurant and we enjoyed the Okura Burger though it took around 30mins to be served but we were given heads up that it will take 50mins to an hour.
We also tried Yawaragi modified dinner buffet and it was okay. Thank you to Ella for attending to our needs (she is always smiling and checking on us) and Ivy for preparing another surprise for my birthday. Appreciate the gesture.
My husband wanted to try Sake and Jaime recommended the perfect sake for us..we really enjoyed it! Thank you Jaime for the recommendation.
After drinks, we head back to our room and was about to lie down on the bed when I noticed some stains on the duvet...:( I immediately called guest services and they sent someone to check and change the sheets. Thank you John Dave for changing it to clean sheets. I hope that housekeeping will be more keen in ensuring the cleanliness of the room including the sheets for every guest.
Breakfast was okay. We feel there is room for improvement in terms of the food served. I hope it will be up to Japan standards. We've been to Japan several times and we are always in delighted everytime we eat Japanese food (even konbini food) however the food served at the Yawaragi buffet fall short of the standard.
We would also like to highlight the 20% discount for One Harmony, this is a good benefit for members.
We will come back here again for the Hinoki yu room, but I hope by that time the food at Yawaragi has improved.

The rooms are large and clean. The bathroom is definitely one of the roomiest I've seen - a deep tub, huge shower area, and a lovely Japanese toilet. They even provide bath salts for a bubble bath. There's an in-room Nespresso machine with complimentary capsules. Dinner and breakfast buffet had great variety without being overwhelming and the quality was quite good.
What was most commmendable was the front desk service with Mr. Ken who checked us in and made arrangements for our stay. He had great attention to detail and alerted housekeeping to provide child-sized amenities for our toddler, who was delighted with his robe and slippers.

We’re familiar with Okura hotels so we had expectations for this newly opened Okura in Manila. We understood it’s still at it’s soft opening and not fully operational yet. We did not expect to get the perfect service as the hotel is under soft opening, staffs are being trained, some facilities are still for completion. For rooms, restaurant and facilities that were open, it did not disappoint. We stayed at a Hinoki room with the Hinoki tub and it was awesome. We felt like we were in Japan. The design and ambiance of the room and with Japanese style bath including the scent of cedar wood, it was amazing. It’s very special and probably the only hotel in the Philippines you can experience this. The room controls for lights, aircon are high tech and will need a bit of trial to fully understand. Will be good for the bellboy to fully explain and make sure new guests do not get frustrated or even damage them. Might even be helpful to have additional explanation cards to understand the icons.
The room experience was excellent. Lights automatically open as you enter. The look and feel brings you to Japan immediately. Very modern yet traditional with wood, natural rocks, shoji doors. They was still construction smell like laquer, but as you get past through that, you smell the wood of the Hinoki tub. There is a small receiving area to leave your shoes. I would suggest to have a stool or seat and some shoe rack or boxes to complete the genkan. The Toto toilet bowl greets you as the lid opens when you enter the toilet room. It has heated seats, remote control for sprays, flushing. Top of the line Japanese toilet and an excellent throne experience 😊
The Hinoki bath was an extraordinary experience. Reminded us of our stay in Japan in some of the special places there since that’s not even an ordinary bath experience. The kids relearned to take a Japanese bath and make sure they were clean before entering the wooden tub. I know it‘a a special tub and worth explaining clearly to guests how to use and what not to do like putting soap, oils, etc. Maybe a video of how to do and enjoy Japanese style bathing might be helpful with a story of the Hinoki tubs.
Along with improvements of a video instruction, i would also suggest to have a specific bath towel (Japanese style) to scrub yourself clean, maybe a soap bar.
We had some meals in Yamazato and it truly is one of the, if not the best Japanese restaurant in Manila. Truly deserving to be featured in the Tatler magazine.
Some staff are still learning but all are polite. Special mention to Jean at the reception and our bellboy Gerald who were really polite, extremely helpful and added to our wonderful experience.
We look forward to coming back when the hotel is fully operational and am sure it will be a complete and true Japanese hospitality experience in Manila.

Dear Mr. normand3v11la, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are delighted to learn that you found your stay and your dining experience at Yamazato enjoyable. Stayed here for staycation with my family. Craving to try a new hotel, got to try this one which is still on soft opening. No main lobby yet , no breakfast place available. Yet I am somehow utterly impressed. Trying 2 different rooms , the Western and the Japanese, it all seem just perfect. Here’s why I like this hotel. 1) entry level rooms start at 60 sq meters. Felt like you are staying in a junior suite at least 2) amenities are very much updated, using touch sensitive control panels , a state of the art Toto washlet . Japanese rooms feature a Cypress bath tub . It also offer TV access to YouTube and Netflix. It even has a slipper for my child. Maybe some of the reason they are more expensive than the Western type. The latter though offer an automated curtain control and a swivel Tv. 3) room service felt top notch. Since we had breakfast and late night meals, the details that keep the food warm, the little add ons and the tastiness of everything we ordered were all worth noting 4) rooftop pool and bar are just worth the chill, but be ready if you want to utilise the cabanas , since you need to reserve 5) surroundings felt like 5 star, and what I mean is the elevator, high ceiling chandelier decors and even the aromatic fragrance that I can somehow smell even with a face mask. 6) staff , of course, from housekeeping who gave me a huge bucket of ice when I asked for it , the room service guy , and those at front desk such as Jean and Ruiji . Will come back once it get its well deserved grand opening. By the way , they house the popular Yamazato , if you are starved for delicious authentic Japanese cuisine.

The rooms are extremely grand. I enjoyed staying in our Hinoki room! It was a truly unique experience. The room is spacious with a smart tv, coffee machine, air purifier and automatic heated toilet seats (which was the best part for me since it made me remember Japan). The food at Yamazato is really good. Their kampachi sashimi was extremely fresh. Wagyu was indeed melt in your mouth. The rest of the dishes were great too!
