We were tired from sightseeing, so we had dinner in our room today. I was very satisfied as the food was delicious and I enjoyed the view from my room. The staff who brought the food to us were also smiling and gave us a good impression! Thank you LoReN.

Check in - Delivered a Strangers luggage to our room! Who knows where our bags ended up going until the were finally delivered to our room. SECURITY CONCERNS ANYONE! Welcome drink offered on the llth floor pool bar. Asked the bar tender what my choices were and he looked at me puzzled. He had no idea and started reading the fine print on the coupon and said Juice. I read the same card and said it offered Beer and Premium wine which I questioned him and he had NO idea. Water pressure and water temperature fluctuated constantly in or bathroom. Breakfast Buffet was terrible. All the eggs were precooked and cold. Ordered 2 poached eggs and given 2 hardboiled eggs. Took them back and complained and the cook then gave me 2 soft boiled eggs that had been cooked earlier because they were completely cold inside. Their Thai soup noodles were inedible. I have lived in Thailand for 5 years so I know. Very small dissapointing selection of fruit that was not sweet. I will never stay here again and I suggest the rest of you do the same. Poor management and untrained staff. Beautiful Hotel AND VERY DISSAPOINTING!

I travel to Manila often as part of my adjunct professor lecturing. I really wanted to love this hotel, but a couple issues marred my experience. What do we all want out of a hotel? A quiet room, a good night's sleep, and a hot shower. Sadly, the hot shower portion was missing in action for most of my almost two-week visit. And even more puzzling was the response of hotel management. Or I should say the lack of response. My first morning, I went into the very luxurious bathroom suite, and began to run the shower. 10 minutes later, it was barely warm. I would guess less than 100F (39C). That was the extent of the hot water. Later that day I gave it another try. No better. Odd. (I did shower in the tepid water). The next day, the same - at what I thought was a less busy time of the day. Now keep in mind, hot water isn't just a "luxury amenity". In a commercial environment, hot water is required to be heated to 60C, as a matter of safety from things like legionairre's disease. I told the front desk on my way out, and they said they'd get right on it. Then came the most puzzling of responses. Nothing. No fix. No nothing. Having found the name of the hotel's general manager, Jan Marshall, I gave him a try. He sent the email to subordinates, and would never respond to me directly. Ever. An assistant manager arrived at my room with an engineer in tow. He confirmed that they were having issues with the hot water system, and measured just less than 40C in my bathroom. They graciously (cough) offered to move me to a different room which had only marginally warmer water. Having completely unpacked, I demurred and asked them to redouble their efforts to fix it. Keep in mind this is an almost brand-new hotel. It seemed to be much better the morning before I left. At no time could I get a more senior manager's attention to the problem, not even in Japan. Mr. Marshall refused to discuss it with me again, and while you'd think there would have been some pricing adjustment made, they avoided me when they saw me. The rest of the hotel was first rate. Breakfast buffet was first-rate, as you'd expect. Would have been better if people weren't coming to breakfast poorly attired. The room attendant was spectacular, happy to manager her many rooms around my odd meeting schedule.

My experience at Hotel Okura was exceptional, largely due to the outstanding staff. Their friendly and helpful attitude, evident in their constant smiles, was a refreshing change from other hotels. Although I encountered some technical difficulties with the laggy TV, which may have been due to my unfamiliarity with the system, this minor issue did not detract from the overall experience. The highlight of my stay was the commendable service provided by Concierge Glen. He went above and beyond, especially when I left some items at the hotel. Glen coordinated with the delivery service and myself, ensuring my belongings were returned promptly. His dedication greatly contributed to a memorable stay at Hotel Okura. Despite the lack of photos, I hope my written review provides useful insights.

Hotel accommodations was great! But there were no staff greeted us when we arrive at the hotel, it is hard to call also on their front desk at night when i requested for an extra slippers and dental kit my request didn’t come. When we check the casino area at the ground floor staff was also not friendly and stopped us and tell us that is for members only not in a friendly way. We had a great breakfast, foods was good and the staff there was friendly and very attentive to our needs.

Upon arriving the hotel's driveway, we were greeted by the security guard and assisted us to unload our luggages from the car while we wait for the bellman to arrive and collect our luggage. When we entered the hotel, security guards greeted us with a smile. Meanwhile, the greeter or the staff standing near the eacalator ( wearing a kimono dress) didn't even approach us or ask if we need any assistance since we were standing there searching for the check in area. I was holding my baby and my other son which no one even bothered to assist us. We needed to approach her and ask if she could tell us where the reception is. She then pointed where the lift is. In the check in area, front desk staffs were not that friendly compared to other hotels that we've stayed, no greeting until I approached one of their staff for check in. Other staffs still continued talking to each other while we were checking in. I've requested for a thermometer since my baby has a fever, but turns out that they can only lend you the thermometer if its an emergency, bottle sterilizer is not available as well which is odd. Since they cannot lend me their thermometer, they didn't even care to tell us another options. Didn't even offer any kids amenities since they saw that i have 2 kids with me, I needed to ask when we reached our room. It was so disappointing. But when we went for our breakfast the next day, restaurant staff were really nice and we could feel the 5 star service, thanks to the team, my family enjoyed their meal. The restaurant host (I didn't get his name) was really nice and made sure we have everything we need.
