Unfortunately, my stay at TRYP by Wyndham Mall of Asia Manila was a disappointing experience and not at all how I expected it to be. When I booked my stay directly on the website, I was given the option and I selected the 'Unravel The Gift of Holiday Fun' rate which according to Wyndham's website includes 20% off when you stay two consecutive nights and a free room upgrade to the next tier across Asia Pacific. I was looking forward to these two perks only to be informed during check in that they do not honor the benefits of the advertised rate I booked for. This was followed by the following: - The hallway heading to my room had a terrible stench all throughout my stay. - My room reservation was for Manila Bay but was given a room of a construction site section. - Upon entering the room, there was also a bad smell. - Upon turning on the air conditioner in the room, it also released a terrible smell. - The bathroom sink did not drain properly which I reported to the front desk but was not addressed at all during my stay. - The shower had no hot water at all, regardless of how long I allowed the water to run for. - There is absolutely no sound proofing in the room as I was able to hear my neighbors conversations loud and clear. - The room did not have wired internet access. - There was no iron/ironing board in the room at all. - The wifi signal intermittently cut off during my zoom business meetings. - On my final evening, there was a large group of college students that monopolized the elevators (2 for guests and 1 service elevator) and well, running all over the hotel. Needless to say, unless improvements are made, I would not recommend staying here. …
I booked this hotel because it is a Wyndham hotel. And the hotel and mainly the staff made this difficult stay due to quarantine so comfortable. First off I need to thank the Staff and I wish I personally knew everyone of you but the Names that represent this get staff that I meet are Armon wow I will never be able to thank you enough Sir for all your help with personal issue that arouse in my travel home to Davao. Carlo and Lester are 2 great guys who endlessly brought me coffee. The Restaurant was so great even when I can 15 minutes before they closed. When I arrived to the hotel I was greeted and explained the process to check, my bags were disinfected and brought to my room. Being a man I forgot to bring any kind of shaving cream, but here at TRYP no problem they have a system in place were they call your room daily and ask if you need from the store (WOW above and beyond!!!) You might read these reviews and think they are fluffing the place or what and if that's you fine believe that but your the one missing out. If you need a Quarantine hotel TRYP by Wyndham is the way to go. And personlly I can't wait until I can return a stay for personal stay. As i said. Me and my family were suppose to enjoy the pool upon our arrival, unfortunately it's close because of an event. No one even inform us. And no one even apologize to us about it. The manager wont even approach us to talk about it
Stayed at this hotel because we had an event at the World Trade Center. Very near also from the Mall wher you can shop around and even jog along the seaside. The hotel is also near NAIA airport. Thanks
No hot water for most of my stay there. I reported the problem twice, it turns out all guests on 7th floor having no water too... the location is convenient and service staff were polite and professional.
Highly recommend! I treated my fiancée and her mom to a little trip to Manila to celebrate our 5 year anniversary since I was unable to make it due to work. I came across the TRYP hotel on Expedia then chose to book because the rates were good and the amenities looks great. I wanted to surprise my fiancée with flowers and chocolates in the room when they arrived. I am based in the US so I wasn't sure about who I can reach out to/set that up with. I called the hotel and wondered what was the best route to take. I spoke to a nice lady at the front desk and she was very helpful! She recommend some local places I can order flowers from and assured that she can arrange to have them setup in the room before my families arrival....at no extra cost! I found that pretty awesome. The lady at the front desk also kept in constant communication with me. She helped setup transportation from the airport to the hotel but also kept in constant communication regarding their status during that process which was also very nice! Upon arrival to the hotel, the front desk lady also informed me that the room was all set and ready to go! When my fiancée arrived in the room, she was very surprised! Then, she sent me photos of the room. Without knowing, the TRYP team took it upon themselves to ALSO add balloons and swan shapped figures in the shape of a heart on the bed made from towels! I was totally blown away by how they executed the setup! I was honestly not expecting that! This was an awesome surprise for both me and my fiancée. Totally made our anniversary that much better. Fiancée and I were very happy! I thanked the front desk lady for doing a tremendous job! In the end, the front desk lady turned out to be the Front Office Supervisor! The fact that she took it upon herself to go above and beyond really shows that they set great examples amongts their team and it showed! Everyone else my fiancée encountered during their stay was very kind and very helpful as well. As far as the amenities go, my fiancée loved the room. It was very clean and modern. Her window view was the Manila skyline which she loved. Her favorite part was the roof top pool! Awesome views. Wasn't overly crowded. She said it felt like a private/exclusive resort. Like VIP vibes. The pool is very modern as well and setup nicely with plenty of space to lay out. She also loved the gym and the food in their restaurant was also good (especially the Milagritos Burger). Overall we are very happy and it left a great lasting impression. I love Tripadvisor because easy to booked , airline or hotel thats why i always check on them while i travel.to usa and other country or asian country tripadvisor they had very good staff so they assist you very well.
Service was extra ordinary. You can notice that the property was busy due to the holiday craze but the staff are well-accommodating and polite. You know they may be facing mishaps but are resourceful enough to fill in the lack just to deliver service that’s above and beyond any guest’s expectations - generally, everyone is challenged but resilient! Nothing beats a good leader in FO Manager Armand who do not just look after his staff but exemplifies and ensures every issue gets situated. Rooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. I can say it is close to well maintained except for the minimal toilet leak. Although the overall design of the property resembles a captivating and instagrammable contemporary industrial, unfinished look to me, I think the room bathroom door needs an improvement. The hotel lobby gives a vibrant energy and gives you a feeling of being welcomed the Pinoy way but more hip! The sea view at the roof deck? Just amazing! The windy and cool sea breeze is obviously giving a chill feel. With the bar next to the pool, who wouldn’t enjoy?! A sunset view in that side of Manila followed by ambient night lights at the bar overlooking city lights is what you will also go for in this hotel. There are walking-distance convenience stores and specialty restaurants and cafés. Entertainment everywhere- simple parks, a huge mall and wide array of establishments to hang out on depending on your mood. Buffet breakfast was generous with a nice hearty selection. The sea view while enjoying a cup of coffee was a bonus. Overall, our experience was memorable especially because this was meant to give our family a tender comfort in this equally joyous and lonesome season without our dear mother who is no longer able to join us physically and who has always been the great deciding factor as to whether we will be going on a holiday staycation or not. …
I would like to commend the hotel for its extremely friendly, helpful and polite staff. Customer experience at its best. The lady guard at the entrance was very helpful to my mom who had arthritic knees and had to be assisted to get in and out of the car. Her assistants there were also very helpful. The staff at the restaurant were cheerful and friendly. And the lady who does housekeeping at the room we stayed in (1503) was always helpful and kind. She took care of cleaning our room really well. Overall, the Tryp by Windham hotel may noy be a 5-star hotel but the level of quality service is beyond 5-star!
Great central location. We stayed for 2 nights, really enjoyed its location in the city centre where everything is within walking distance. The staff was very helpful, especially Sir Armand, breakfast really delicious, and the room nice.
