We really enjoyed our stay here. Thanks for the great service, really enjoyed the balcony at the front and the lively street. Great service, close to the airport, Affordable. Will stay here again next time.
Prepare to instruct your driver how to find the place, it is not well known or on main streets. Hotel provides complimentary one way transportation. Room was very simple. There's no restaurant or bar. Reception was able to help with meal order with delivery to room.
So, we decided to stay here for one night in order to catch a flight to El Nido the next day. I contacted them the day before to tell them that my sister would arrive at 3:10 in the afternoon and asked them to pick her up first and then also pick me up in the evening as I was arriving with another flight. They told me yes of course, just let your sister call us as soon as she has her luggage and they will send someone right away and that I should do the same. Cut long story short, my sister had to wait for them for one hour at the meeting point and I had to wait for 45 mins. Why would they tell us to call them as soon as we’re ready for pick up if they need an hour to get there. So for whoever decides to book them call them as soon as you get so don’t have to wait for an hour, As far as the room is concerned, yes it is not a fancy option , the sink blocked after washing our hands for the first time, the noise from people walking up and down woke us up a few times but if you are looking for a clean place to crash for one or two nights this place could suit you. …
Horrible rooms, beds are very uncomfortable and the staff treated my fiance very unfairly...do not choose this hotel when staying near terminal 1..the air conditioning does not work very well and when asked to move to another room they said they were fully booked ...the toilets did not flush and the floors were very dirty
They were fumigating for cockroaches they day we checked in but failed to mention it. They charged for early checkin but we couldn’t go back to room. On the way up in the open elevator, we were fumigated! The gas from another floor came barreling in as we passed that level. The fumigation sent cockroaches running all over the hotel. I have several videos that show the mass exodus! To their credit, they waived early checkin fees and ultimately released us from our obligation to stay. With research, you can get comparable priced accommodation in the Pataki business district and there are places to shop and eat nearby (not so within close proximity to Alicia)
Really nice place to stay while waiting for your flight. Cozy room, great welcoming and helpful staff, nice local food at hand, a good enough light breakfast and one free airport transfer. I walked from terminal 1 in about 10minutes. Perfect. I will stay next time I am in Manila.
It’s very cheap so you can’t expect too much, but it’s clean and less than a 10 min drive to the airport. You get a free transfer if you land in Manila airport. It is very cheap for the return journey back to Manila airport.
This hotel is in the slum of Manila, it is a building in the middle of a residential run down neighborhood with no shops and only fast food. No closet in the room or anywhere to hang the clothes, no bedside table or lamp, the roosters are in full swing from 2:30 AM and so are the dogs and cats. Wrong phone number listed on Booking.com, super old noisy A/C unit, terrible WI-FI connection, tiny bathroom, no shower curtains so water everywhere when showering, no smoke alarms in the entire building I noticed! The worst mattress I have ever slept on, toilet seat was lose, the neighbors’ kids playing outside and locals sitting outside talking in the evening. Terrible picture connection on the TV and hard to watch the channels, slamming doors all night and guests coming and going, a strong smell of food in my room from the outside. These are not apartments as the name of the hotel suggests, they are rooms in a building. I would not even call it a hotel! The ‘elevator’ if one can call that is the oldest thing I have ever seen and has no door. Not sure how it passed the safety regulations but this is the same hotel that has no smoke alarms so... The elevator makes a lot of noise each time it lands on a floor. No mosquito nets on the windows. At 2:30 AM I got woken up by loud voices from the lobby (my room was on the 3rd floor!!) When I went downstairs to check out at 4:00 AM and the voices could still be heard, I learned it was 2 guests (a man and a woman) sitting in the lobby drinking beer (at 4:00 AM!!!!!!!) talking SUPER loud. I asked the receptionist who was not very friendly, what was going on and told her I got woken up by those people. She ignored me and I then asked her how it could be possible for the hotel to allow guests talking that loud in the lobby area and drinking at that time of the day. She told me the guests were waiting to check out. Oh, so that makes it OK then? Their voices were traveling all the way to the 3rd. Free airport pick up, a fridge int he room, close to terminal 1 but not to the other terminals. Friendly staff apart from the woman who works at night.…
You book Alicia Apartments because it is close to all the terminals. You also are attracted to the low cost. It is a low cost stay over hotel. However you are superbly looked after from pick up to drop off from the airport. The family that run the place where so caring and courteous to my family. They put up with storing cases. Allowing us time together to drink some beers in the evening. To even let us charge phones etc way after we have booked out and were waiting for flights using them still as a base. They even opened their home to let us use facilities. Top people! Would use again and again. Even allowed my Filipino friends to meet us there and communicated with them to make it happen.
Good for this purpose. Free pickup ordered by WhatsApp. Took 10mins to arrive. At hotel there was a paper to fill with all info: breakfast time (delivered in room), checkout time, drop off time and terminal number. Drop off is 300 pesos, at least to terminal 3. Room is clean and looks recently renovated. WiFi is working good considering it’s in Manila, not perfect but still ok. No complains from me. Lift feels a bit weird comparing to European standards, and ridiculously slow. Drinks for sale at the frontdesk. Pizza delivery etc possible from all major chains available. Area seems like normal Manila village. Not the poorest but certainly not the richest as well. Didn’t really get a good look but this impression I got from the taxis window. I’d think twice going out at dark alone. For my purpose this is very good. Money well spent.…
